Chapter 23：He Lift You Up?

After dinner, as always Richard and Hai Rin will go to the study room. Andy Lu on the other hand are instructed by Hai Rin to rescheduled her make up class session and rest after that.

In the study room, Hai Rin focused on the television while Richard focused on his document and a few files.

He look up at Hai Rin on the couch and ask.

"What did you do today?"

She turn her head to Richard and lift up her eyebrow a little.

"I went to spa with Lee Zhing and had lunch with her. After that, I went to the dance class with Andy."

"Oh? You want to learn dancing?"

"Waltz."

"Waltz? So you pair up with.." he could guess who she pair up with.

"Yes, him."

"So how did it go?"

She groan a little. "It's not as easy as I think. Andy said I'm too light. So he will change my diet course later."

"Too light?" he stop at what he's doing. His focus now is at Hai Rin.

"Yes.. He lift me up when we're practicing with the dance step and he said I'm too light that he can just throw me with one hand." after saying that Hai Rin chuckle a little. 'How dare he want to throw me?' she thought.

"He lift you up?" his face expression darkened when he saw Hai Rin chuckle.

"Why are you keep repeating my word?" Hai Rin didn't notice Richard's face because she was focusing at the television.

"When is your next class?"

"Tomorrow after lunch. Urgh... My foot hurt so much when I need to wear those high heels again..." she complain and start to roll on the couch.

Richard close his laptop and walk towards Hai Rin on the couch. He lift her slender legs and put on his lap.

"Eh! wha..What are you doing?" She ask with a surprised tone. She already know that the bug from the study and their bedroom has been remove and they don't need to pretend anymore.

"Sit still. Don't move around." Richard start to massage Hai Rin's foot. His face remains expressionless.

"Hey..it's okay..I can do it myself." she try to pull up her leg but Richard already hold it down by force.

"Don't. Move." his cold voice makes Hai Rin shivered a little. So at last, she give up. She just let Richard massage her leg while she divert her focus to the television.

See Hai Rin no longer moving and her focus also turned to the television, he couldn't help and turn his head to the television as well.

His eyes squint a little when he noticed that Hai Rin actually watch a cartoon.

"You already grown up, why you still watch a cartoon...?"

Shock by the question, Hai Rin gave him a glance.

"It's not a cartoon.. it's anime. Totally different though."

"Are you still a kid inside, perhaps?"

"Duhh.. Can't you see?" she lift up her hand and shuddered her shoulder a little.

"Not fair. Just one episode and after that I'll go to bed." this time Hai Rin raise her hand making a promise.

He looked at her face and ruffled her hair before he stand up and walk back to his table.

"Just one."

"Yeay! Thanks." she shout happily.

The next morning when Hai Rin wake up Richard already gone from the bedside.

'He probably go to his routine exercise like always.' she thought. Hai Rin go to the bathroom to take shower and change her attire.

She makes dumpling and steam bun as menu for today. She learned all of the recipes from her grandma. When Lee Zhen bite the steam bun, his eyes glows.

"Where did you learn to make this steam bun Rinrin? It's so delicious."

"Oh..I learn from my grandma. I used to make it and sell when I was young until I finished my high school year." Hai Rin reply with a casual voice.

"You must have a difficult life back then. Now, you're rich. You don't need to sell it again, do you? You must be happy when you are married into a wealthy family." Mu Ning said while her hand spreading blueberry jam at her bread.

"That's true aunt. I'm rich now..no, I'm super rich. I don't need to sell steam bun anymore. My husband can provide everything for me.. Fortunately, I have a beautiful face, I guess." Hai Rin take the opportunity to act as an arrogant housewife.

Richard just smile beside her and caress her hand softly showing a sign 'that's my girl.' on his face.

While Andy Lu whose standing behind them at the corner of the room just smile inward. 'Not bad Rin. Not bad.'

"Oohh..I'm glad to hear that Rin. Maybe next time if you decide to open your own restaurant, you can come and consult with me. I'll help you to rip off your husband's money." Mu Ning smile brightly to her new niece-in-law.

"Sure thing. I'll let you know later, aunt." 'She is the hard one to deal with' Hai Rin remark her word. She needs a better strategy to deal with this so-called aunt-in-law of her.

While the other households just make a deaf expression in their face and enjoy eating breakfast calmly. They know it's all just an act. They all have their role to play later.

"That's enough. Let's have a calm breakfast." Lee Zhen said when he felt the dining have a dark aura around him.
