Chapter 72 Kicking Someone Out Of The Mansion

Day Six…

Butler Li was caught off guard when Nathan demanded him to surrender the remaining Aphrodisiac drug. How did he know that he had that kind of drug in his possession?

Nathan was wearing a dark expression. His sharp gaze sent chills down Butler Li's spine. Their Master looked furious.

"M-Master… What d-drug?" Butler Li tried to feign ignorance. But Nathan started counting down.

"Five…"

"Four…"

"Three…"

Butler Li sprinted toward his sleeping quarters to get the remaining drugs. It seemed that Abigail and he got busted by Nathan. Afraid that he would anger Nathan further for causing delay, Butler Li ran as fast as he could, reaching his room in less than one minute.

The maids nearby just silently watched Butler Li's back as he left in urgency. One maid headed to the kitchen, informing others including the kitchen staff that their Master was in red alert mode right now.

"Chef Min! I guess Butler Li is in trouble. Master Nathan looked so mad when he confronted him."

Chef Min lifted his eyebrow upon hearing that. "Ha! It serves him right," Chef Min mumbled, smiling triumphantly. He began to hate Butler Li ever since he sided with Abigail.

"I think there will be a good show. I want to witness this with my own eyes." Chef Min took off his apron and came out of the dining area. He wanted to see Butler Li being reprimanded by the Master of the House.

'That bitch can't help you. You will realize that you sided with the wrong person,' Chef Min thought to himself, mocking Butler Li in his mind.

By the time he reached the living area, Butler Li was already handing something over to Nathan. He could see how Nathan's expression darkened further upon seeing the item Butler Li had given him.

They were still gathered in that area when Abigail showed up. She was lazily walking down the stairs, yawning. She was still sleepy but Butler Li called her, telling her to come down as soon as possible. He did it when he picked up the drug inside his cabinet.

Butler Li didn't give her the full details as he hung up the phone with urgency. He sounded very anxious so Abigail came down after washing up her face and brushing her teeth. She didn't even bother to comb her hair as she was in a hurry.

Abigail's eyes strayed sleepily around and she caught a glimpse of Nathan's figure.

Nathan's blue eyes were already focused on her, looking at her grimly. Abigail subconsciously froze in her spot, halting on her step. And then she met his eyes steadily for a moment.

Memories of last night kept coming back to their mind. The two immediately looked away when they recalled a certain scene in Nathan's study.

'Damn! I can never forget it…" Abigail cursed inwardly.

"Good morning, Miss Abi!" Ethan greeted her cheerfully, ignoring the heavy atmosphere surrounding them in the living room.

"Good morning, Cutie!" Abigail responded, shifting her attention from Nathan to Ethan.

"Miss Abi…" Butler Li called her out with his anxious voice.

"What's wrong?" She asked them, darting her gaze back and forth between Butler and Ethan. That question was referring to Nathan. She was asking them as to why the Devil had an ugly and dark expression. He looked like he was about to unleash his wrath.

Butler Li remained silent while Ethan looked down, playing with his fingers. Both of them were guilty of something.

The maids also began to gather around, waiting for the exciting scene to unfold. What trouble did Butler Li create that made their master become upset and mad? Was Nathan going to punish him?

Abigail noticed several pairs of eyes looking at them. Then she tossed a glance into the distance to where Chef Min was standing. Her lips curled up into a wicked smile as she recalled the deal between Nathan and her last night.

Abigail traced her steps toward Nathan. When she reached his spot, Abigail whispered, "Mr. Sparks, I think this is the right time to accomplish our deal last night. Everyone is gathered here. And the star of the show is already here." Abigail simply pointed Chef Min using her lips.

That was when he noticed that almost everyone was looking at them, especially Butler Li.

Since Nathan was a man of his word, he set aside first the issue of the Aphrodisiac drug. He had to fulfill Abigail's request. Instead of suspending Chef Min and cutting his salary down to fifty percent, Abigail would like to see Nathan firing him in front of everyone.

"Butler Li, call the other kitchen staff and assistant cook. Summon them here." Nathan ordered Butler Li.

The butler immediately obeyed his command. A few seconds later, Chef Min and his assistant cooks were now standing in front of Nathan. They wondered why their Master would like to see them.

Aside from Abigail, only the assistant cook, whom Abigail brought to Nathan's study room last night, knew that their master already learned Chef Min's lies.

The assistant cook was standing meekly on the side. Her body was trembling from nervousness. She felt like her heart was going to explode. She didn't know what Nathan would do to Chef Min. What punishment would he receive? The assistant cook kept thinking about that.

For some reason, she somehow felt guilty and sorry for Chef Min. She sold him out to save her butt. She couldn't even look into Chef Min's eyes since this morning.

"Everyone… I have an announcement to make. This is with regards to someone who caused harm to my health." Nathan declared to everyone. Then he glanced at Abigail.

Chef Min's eyes lit up when he heard that. 'Yes! Is Master Nathan finally kicking out this woman? Hmm. I can't wait to hear the announcement! Miss Veronica will like this for sure!'

"Starting today, I'm kicking out Chef Min! You are fired!"

Chef Min: "..."

Assistant Cooks: "..."

Maids: "..."

Aside from Abigail and Butler Li, people there didn't expect to hear that announcement.
