Chapter 164 Bring Her Back

Day Eighteen…

Abigail was clueless that Nathan ordered his men to find her and the handsome man she dragged with her. She was currently talking to Richard Chang.

"What? Are you telling the truth? What is the proof of your identity?" Abigail asked him suspiciously.

Richard could only smile faintly. He took his wallet from his pocket and showed his ID to Abigail.

"Now, do you believe me?" Richard flashed his charming smile. He was glad to finally find her.

"Richard Chang… the CEO of Star Corp Entertainment…" Abigail mumbled, her eyes going round.

'He is the CEO of the real Abigail Scarlett,' she thought to herself.

"Sir… I'm sorry I can't remember you," Abigail toned down a little bit.

"No. It's fine. Don't apologize. The most important thing is I already found you. Your manager and assistant will be happy to hear this good news!" Richard cheerfully said, tapping Abigail's shoulder. He was acting as if he was Abigail's close friend, instead of being her Big Boss.

Meanwhile, Abigail's eyes lit up at the mention of her manager and personal assistant. She would like to meet them. She already conducted research about those two ladies with the help of Powy. Powy provided her with the information she needed about those two ladies.

"Come with me. I will bring you to them," Richard said, inviting her.

Abigail fell silent for a moment, contemplating whether she would go with him or not. But Richard didn't allow her to refuse. He grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the exit gate.

Richard just came today after his business trip abroad. He didn't expect that he would find Abigail Scarlett here. He wanted to bring her back to Star Corp Entertainment and ask her what happened to her.

"Let's go!"

Richard seemed so fond of Abigail Scarlett. Among the actresses in his company, for him, Abigail was the most professional. She had a clean reputation and she was a role model. That was one of the reasons why he was providing her with lots of resources and projects.

Those actions brought jealousy to other actresses and they gave different meaning to it. They thought Abigail and their CEO were in a secret relationship.

They assumed that Abigail might be his other woman since Richard was already engaged with Nadia Patel, the daughter of Madam Priyanshi Patel, the owner of EDSJ Five Star Hotel and the Chairwoman of Patel Conglomerates.

'Okay. I have to meet my assistant and manager. I will just go home later and explain this to Nathan,' Abigail thought to herself, not knowing that Nathan was already looking for her.

Abigail had forgotten about the guy whom she was chasing a while ago. Besides, she already gave the task to Nathan's bodyguards. It was advantageous for her that their attention was diverted. Instead of following her around, they should find that suspicious guy.

Now, Abigail got her temporary freedom from Nathan as she tagged along with Richard Chang. But she didn't lower her guard. She failed to conduct a background check on the CEO of Star Corp Entertainment.

She recalled the gossip she overheard in the comfort room at the last Masquerade Party. Those women were talking about Abigail having an affair with the Star Corp Entertainment CEO.

'Is he a friend or a foe? I can't trust him completely. What if he also had something to do with my attempted murder case?' Abigail was suspicious of every person around her. Everyone could be a culprit.

It did not take long when Abigail and Richard reached his car. The chauffeur was already waiting for the CEO. He was surprised when he saw Abigail together with his Big Boss.

The chauffeur opened the car door for them in the back passenger seat. The two stepped into the car and settled down inside.

"Sir, where do you want to go?" The chauffeur asked Richard.

"La Amanda Village," Richard responded.

Abigail glanced at him in confusion. She thought they would go straight to the Star Corp Building.

As if Richard had read her mind, he explained to her the reason why they were going to La Amanda Village where his flat was located.

p "Ana and Santra are currently staying in my flat. I let them use it for now as the reporters kept pestering them about you."

Abigail just nodded her head. "Okay. I understand."

The two started their journey, traversing through the busy streets of Towerville City. Abigail wanted to know the people close to the real Abigail Scarlett. Since someone already recognized her, she could no longer hide her presence from them.

It was better to talk to them and make a believable alibi so that her manager, assistant, and the CEO of her company would not wonder as to why she was alive and got better in just two weeks.

She was already racking her brain about what she would tell them once they met. Of all the people whom she could meet at the airport, she ended up bumping into her company's CEO. There might be a certain reason for this so she would grab this opportunity.

Meanwhile, in the airport, Aiden, Nathan, and his men were still searching for the suspicious guy and Abigail. When they didn't find her anywhere, Nathan proceeded to the CCTV control room of the airport.

Using his power and influence, he requested the personnel to allow him to check the CCTV recordings.

'Damn! How many times should I do this just to find her?' Nathan was already annoyed. Abigail was suddenly disappearing from time to time. When she disappeared from the hospital, they also resorted to this, checking the CCTV just to know her location.

It did not take long when they spotted Abigail and Richard after reviewing the recordings. He requested to send him a copy of the screenshot photo of Richard.

"What are you going to do now? I think Abigail knows this man," Aiden asked Nathan.

Nathan was silent. They just found out that Abigail already left the airport together with that man.

"Just forget about her and let's go home," Nathan coldly replied. He composed himself and acted normal in front of Aiden, but deep inside, he was furious right now. How could Abigail leave just like that after seeing that man?

Nathan thought that Abigail was insincere when she declared that she would make him fall for her. Why was she involved with another man? Was she just making fun of him?

With those thoughts in mind, Nathan's face darkened further. He left the airport in a grumpy mood. He didn't even wait for Aiden. He told him to ride in a different car as he wanted to be alone.

Nathan also ordered his men to pull out. There was no need to look for a woman who already ran away from him.

After twenty minutes, Nathan arrived at the Sparks Mansion. He had just entered the main entrance door when Little Ethan welcomed him with a tight hug on his legs.

"Dad, welcome back! Where is Miss Abi?" Little Ethan turned his head from left to right, searching for Abigail.

Upon seeing Ethan, a great idea popped up in his mind. "Do you want to see Miss Abi?" Nathan asked his son, ruffling the boy's hair.

Ethan bobbed his head frantically, putting on a puppy-eye look. He was even pouting his small lips as he tugged his father's shirt. He missed Abigail and he wanted to see her.

Nathan's lips tugged upward into a meaningful smile before nodding his head. "Okay, I will send you the files. Ask Powy and others to help you track her location. Someone took her from the airport a while ago, that's why we got separated."

Little Ethan blinked in confusion. He didn't know what happened but he could understand what his father was trying to say. Nathan gave him the task to locate Abigail's location and find out the identity of the person who took Abigail from the airport.

"Okay, Dad! Give me the files. I will make sure to find her. After that, I will go to fetch her personally!" Ethan said with so much determination in his voice.

Nathan was satisfied with Ethan's reaction. He knew it! His son would do anything to track Abigail, making her come back to the Sparks Mansion.

With this, Nathan found a perfect excuse to bring Abigail back. It's not because of him… but it would appear that Ethan was the one who wanted her back.

"Good boy," Nathan mumbled, patting Ethan's small head. Then he handed him his phone. A while ago, he secretly asked the personnel to give him the photo of the vehicle and its plate number which Abigail and the man used when they left the airport.

Little Ethan immediately proceeded to his playroom where Powy, Riemc, and GingerAllieAnne were waiting for him.

Nathan could only watch his son's back and mumbled, "You can do it, Little Ethan. Bring Abigail back to this mansion. Once she comes back… I will deal with her, myself." The devil was already thinking of a way to punish Abigail for running away from him in the airport.
