Chapter 166 - He Shows Me, How Much I Should Love Myself Before I Love Others.

"That is because Mr.Ling is too generous. He deliberately let me win to donate more." Guan Xian said and made a gesture to praise Ling Guang. 

Round applause rang throughout the big ballroom, but Ling Guang isn't happy at all. There are only sixty million that he to burn for nothing in his mind right now. Every clap felt like a sharp knife that stabbed his heart.

"But I've prepared myself to donate 150 million in advance to support my little sister's first-ever event," Guan Xian continued.

Ling Guang looks awkward while the guest clapped their hand in amusement for Guan Xian.

Xiao Ni wanted to choke Guan Xia to death! 

Forget using the event she arranged to bluff, He even goes as far as using her name to show off. Gritting her teeth, Xiao Ni forced a smile.

"Thank you, Brother!" she shouts from the crowd, sending a secret death glare at him. Guan Xian wiggled his eyebrow. He shows a big smile with an attitude that said 'I am a generous person.

"Alright! Thank you for your participation, Mr. Ling and Mr. Guan. You can choose who will replace your place next. We have ten other lines, so you can choose ten people if you want." The emcee said to Guan Xian and Ling Guang.

Guan Xian takes the mic indifferently and shouts out ten names without any hesitation. 

"Xiao Ni, Wang Kai, Ji Cun Xi, Jian Jun, Wang Ru, Beautiful Xia Sha the rest is up to you," he gives the mic to Ling Guang.

Ling Guang has a poised attitude, even though he just has been humiliated. Since Guan Xian has chosen six contestants, there are only four left. Thus, Ling Guang could only choose four important people he wanted to curry favors with in the future.

Probably because Guan Xian has started the hidden battle between love rivals, the new player followed his footsteps. Wang Kai called Xavier Maximillo, son of mother Guan's ex. He comes as Xiao Ni's partner tonight, while Xiao Ni called Wang Kai's plus one, Bai Jing. 

"Mr. Xavier Maximillo," Wang Kai called out his opponent's name coldly.

"My high school friend, Bai Jing," Xiao Ni hid a dagger behind her sweet smiles. 

The crowded gasp in unison. Everyone seems to have their expectation of the next player.

Xia Sha observed this trend, and she fixed her eyes at Meng Ran, who suddenly felt chill from Xia Sha's gaze. Meng Ran tried to avert her gaze. As much as she will enjoy the attention if Xia Sha called out her name, she did not have money to spare. 

She barely had enough money to eat after buying the outfit she wears today. 

"Tsk, look at this two people involves a third party between their war. Let's bet, how much do you think Xiao Ni will make today and how long they will fight?" 

Guan Xian suddenly appears behind Xia Sha. Xia Sha turned her body slightly to looked at him. He is pointing Xiao Ni and Wang Kai with his mouth. 

Xia Sha shrugged her shoulder as the answer. 

"I bet it will last for two days and one night," Ji Cun Xi suddenly standing next to Xia Sha and joined the conversation. Guan Xian widens his eyes and move between Xia Sha and Ji Cun Xi. 

"Hm, Wang Kai is very competitive indeed. He never loses before. Heck! He never even let me play batman when he plays together. I am always the robin!" Guan Xian grumbles. 

"But he always loses to Xiao Ni, didn't he? Hmph! such a wife slave!" Ji Cun Xi furrowed her eyebrow, and soon they engaged in their conversation. They throw a mocking gaze at Wang Kai several times. 

Xia Sha: "?" 

Did Guan Xian is ditching her right now? 

And he says he has no feeling for Ji Cun Xi. 

Xia Sha rolled her eyes and ignored the two dumb and dumber. 

"Miss Xia, please choose your play partner."

The emcee turned to Xia Sha after quite some time. Xia Sha posed sweet smiles as she took the microphone from the emcee's hand. Her sharped eyebrow looks domineering as she raised her eyebrow at the little lamb among the wolf. 

"I would like to invite Miss Meng Ran to join me on the lanes. It would be an honor," Xia Sha smirked at Meng Ran. 

Xia Sha's brave decision and domineering aura have swept Guan Xian away. He moves from Ji Cun Xi's side to Xia Sha. He looked at her as if she is his goddess. 

Ji Cun Xi is rendered speechless for a second. His lips twitched uncomfortably. Turn out Guan Xian is not so much different from Xia Sha :)

Xia Sha stood next to Meng Ran, looking regal. Meng Ran looks pathetic and shameful in contrast. 

Meng Ran clenched her hand into a fist. She shot a hateful glare at Xia Sha. 

"Must be fun, born from a wealthy family. You could get away from your crime with one envelope."

Xia Sha ignored Meng Ran's provocation. She picked up the bowling ball quietly and scored a strike in one swift movement. A hint of proud smiles cracked on her face. 

Meng Ran's face went pale when Xia Sha suddenly turned to her after scored another strike. Consecutively. 

"Yeah, It's fun to be rich."

Meng Ran felt her blood is boiling as she watched Xia Sha exclude an annoying elegant gesture. She pressed her lips into a thin line, trying to surpass the urge to punched Xia Sha's arrogant face right now. 

"I thought all you want is money and power. Ling Guang, A position in my company and Guan Xian, I suppose? But now that I look into your motive, you seem to hold personal grudges against me. Why is that? Why are you so obsessed with me?" 

Xia Sha poses a question without looking at Meng Ran. She focused on her game and stayed composed even though she could felt Meng Ran's glare at her back. 

"Obsessed with you? You? You are a loser. I took Ling Guang from you when he was your everything. Why should I get jealous of you?" Meng Ran hid her insecurities and answered Xia Sha confidently. 

"Turn out he isn't, right?" Xia Sha turned to Meng Ran, smiling lightly. But because of her bold makeup, she looks like she is mocking her. Not that Xia Sha care. 

"Just because you find a better replacement," Meng Ran glance at Guan Xian, who stood not far away from them. 

"Replacement?" Xia Sha chuckled at Meng Ran's remark and shook her head lightly. 

"Hm. Replacement. Even though Guan Xian is somewhat more influential than Ling Guang, he is still a man. He will also cheat on you sooner or later," Meng Ran's lips corner quirked up. Meng Ran scored her first strike after gaining back her compose self. 

Xia Sha looked at her with twinkled eyes. Calm smiles never disappear from her face. 

"Guan Xian will never-"

"How can you be so sure? I believe Ling Guang once said the same words to you. Your father makes a promise in front of God, and he cheated on your mother. You have two exes, and all of them cheated on you. Why?" 

Xia Sha's hand trembles. She needs support from her other hand to hold the heavy bowling ball. Her breathing starts to get uneven even though her face remains calm. 

"You are wealthier than me. Smarter, I believe. You have that charm. You could make every man easily fall on your feet in one second. But why everyone leaves you behind?" 

Xia Sha holds her breath and turned to Meng Ran. The smile on her face has disappeared while Meng Ran seems to win the situation right now. 

"Has you ever question yourself? Why did you have a problem with everyone you meet? You are everything more than me. Why did Ling Guang fall for me? If it's not about your wealth or your beauty, then isn't your problem is personality?" 

Meng Ran fixed her gaze on the pin she needs to knock off. Cold smiles appear on her beautiful face when she once again scored a strike. So far, she has done a better job than Ling Guang. 

"Sorry but not sorry. You can't blame everyone for your characteristic. You could try building a relationship with thousand of men in this world, but you can't change a thing because the problem is within you." 

Xia Sha felt like a hammer repelling his heart. She stares at Xia Sha deeply and calms herself.

"I might have a problem with my personality. I admit it's not the best. I could not spout nonsense and lies like you. I offended so many hearts with my truth. So it's amazing when I found someone that could accept my thorny attitude. How can I be so sure of Guan Xian, you asked?" Xia Sha smirked, she took a step closer to Meng Ran. Intimidating Meng Ran with her gaze. 

"That is not because of how much love he shows me.. Instead, he shows me, how much I should love myself before I love others."
