A long break was often followed by a strong desire to procrastinate. Ji Fanyin was currently having a firsthand experience of it herself.

Ji Fanyin learned a painful lesson from this.

She wasn’t able to wake up to the alarm she set, causing her to be short on time for her preparation. She had no choice but to sacrifice her breakfast in order not to be late. In the end, all she managed to prepare was two slices of bread she had barely popped into the toaster.

This won’t be enough to stave off hunger.

Ji Fanyin arrived at the meeting location feeling a little weary. She glanced at the time and saw that there were only two minutes left till working hours.

It looks like I won’t have enough time to grab something from the convenience shop.

Ji Fanyin rubbed her tummy with a frown as she wondered how long those two slices of toast would last her.

If it comes down to it, I’ll just have ‘Ji Xinxin’ tell Song Shiyu that I’m hungry and freeload my breakfast off him.

A car stopped by the roadside and honked.

Ji Fanyin looked over and saw that it was an unfamiliar sedan car. The car lowered its passenger seat window, revealing Song Shiyu’s face.

Yet another new car? Is he worried that Ji Xinxin would find out about it?

It was hard to tell what Song Shiyu was thinking.

Perhaps he was wavering between Ji Xinxin and Ji Fanyin. Maybe he was reluctant to lose his number one follower who used to worship him like a god. Or perhaps, he had a newfound obsession with love triangles.

But regardless of which it was, Ji Fanyin couldn’t care less. She couldn’t be bothered to analyze his thoughts.

As long as Song Shiyu was able to afford her price and she was willing to earn from him, he would be able to remain as her client.

So, Ji Fanyin lowered the hand on her stomach and flashed her sweet business smile. Then, she began gracefully walking over to his car.

Upon getting into the passenger seat, Ji Fanyin fastened her seatbelt and casually asked, “Where are we heading to today?”

“Where do you want to go?” Song Shiyu answered with a question.

You’re the one who asked me out, Ji Fanyin thought.

She placed her hands together and looked at him with a sheepish smile, “Can we grab breakfast first? I came out in a hurry, so I haven’t eaten anything yet.”

Ji Fanyin would have been perfectly fine with a roadside food stand, but Song Shiyu unhesitatingly drove her to a Western brunch restaurant after accepting her request.

As the word suggested, brunch was the high-class in-between of breakfast and lunch. It was a lofty privilege that lowly corporate slaves couldn’t possibly hope to enjoy.

It was now working hours on a working day. Those sitting in the restaurant mainly consisted of university students on break, elegant full-time madames, and an influencer and his army of cameramen.

As soon as Ji Fanyin started browsing through the menu, she understood why Song Shiyu had chosen this restaurant.

Of course, exorbitant prices are the best way to showcase young master Song’s class.
