Chapter 156 - Long Ying’s Return

The two of them looked at each other before they rushed out. Soon afterwards, the sound of their fight started again. Yu Yan looked at the sky wondering why their wounds didn't even stop them from fighting.

Forget it, she would rather wait. Sitting down on the chair, Yu Yan began to play with her phone, ignoring the fight that occurred at the front of her house.

She could afford to wait.

Meanwhile, in the mainland.

Long Ying looked at the pile of corpses before him with a pair of cold eyes. It might be already at modern era but for someone like him, there was not much difference with lawless area.

He had killed more people than most soldiers in the entire country.

"Boss, we have caught the perpetrator."

"Bring him to the interrogation room." Long Ying shook his jacket and kept his gun away. His silver eyes scanned the area to find out whether there was someone who was hiding in the darkness.

An Luo checked the time. It was already nearly 9 and the journey in the plane would take around two hours to reach Island A.

"Boss, I can handle the rest. You should return back before midnight."

Hearing his subordinate stressed before midnight, Long Ying arched his eyebrows. There was something special about today's date? He didn't think that much since he only paid attention to the date where he had missions.

Lan Huo also nodded his head. "Yes, Boss. An Luo is an expert at torturing, so he'll be able to get all the necessary information."

An Luo: "…" since when I turn into expert.

But for the sake of bringing Long Ying back to Island A before the it was night time, he chose to accept this new term that Lan Huo thought out of the blue for him.

"Yes, Boss. I can clean up the mess."

Long Ying looked at the pile of dead bodies and nodded. "Clean it up and don't leak the matter to those white collars."

"I know what we're supposed to do."

"Good."

After that, Long Ying entered the car with Lan Huo quickly sat on the driver seat. "Boss, we're heading to the airport."

"Mhm." Long Ying looked at his phone and checked today's date. He had been thinking that there was something special about the date but couldn't think of anything.

Did he forget something?

It was not until he was at the airplane did he feel the date to be slightly familiar. However, he didn't dwell on the thought as he had arrived on island A and alighted down.

The location of his house was not that far from the airport in City A. With just a few minutes, he managed to arrive in front of his house and saw… two people were fighting with each other while trying to keep their movement voiceless.

"B*stard! You purposely leak out your side so that I'll attack in that direction? How shameless!" San Xia hissed and kept her voice low.

An Lin jeered but he didn't dare to speak loudly as he countered, "What's so good about your movement when you can't even touch me?"

Lan Huo: "…" the hell these two?

"If you two lack in training, I can arrange to have special training for you two." Long Ying looked at his two subordinate and spat out his words coldly.

The two of them paused and swiftly separated from each other. Despite some of their wounds hindered them from standing properly, they were still standing firm. It looked as if they were soldiers who were ready to receive command.

"Boss, we're just sparing with each other."

"Yes, yes, we have enough training."

Long Ying looked at the two of them suspiciously. They clearly knew what Yu Yan was doing all this time yet they kept their mouth shut and instead sparred with each other.

It seemed that they still couldn't be placed in one place together.

"Get your wounds treated and stop fighting."

"Yes, Boss!"

Before the two of them could heave a sigh of relief, Long Ying's next words floated to their ear, "Starting tomorrow, you can participate in the training in Island A. I'm sure the newbies will be happy to have two seniors as their guide."

Both An Lin and San Xia's face paled considerably. They looked at each other, seemingly wanting to blame the other party. After all, they believed that Long Ying wouldn't punish them if not because they were fighting.

"Hey, if you two fight again, don't you think Boss will increase your punishment?" Lan Huo reminded.

Internally, he was gloating because he could see these two busy training in that harsh environment while he could stay behind and watched with popcorn. That would be the best!

The two of them no longer had any desire to fight but then they recalled something more important. 

Sh*t! They forgot to wake up Madam!

When they were busy fighting not long ago, they noticed that Yu Yan had somehow fallen asleep on the table while waiting. They originally planned to let her sleep until they saw Long Ying came.

But before they could enact their plan, they already have some other quarrels and ended up forgetting about it. Well… the surprise was still there, right?

Entering the house, Long Ying immediately noticed the living room that was fully decorated. He was stunned as he walked inside and approached Yu Yan, who was sleeping peacefully on top of the table. Her hands were used as pillows while her head looked sideways.

In front of her was the chocolate cake she had meticulously prepared. There was text on top of it that told Long Ying the meaning of today's date.

His birthday!

He had completely forgotten about it. For the past eight or so years, he didn't even remember the date and it was his subordinate who came to him and gave presents. The items they gave were all tucked in one place, though since he had no use of those. 

Long Ying's heart felt warm as his eyes landed on his woman.
