"Are you not feeling well?" Yu Yan noticed that Long Ying took some time in the restroom. Usually, this man would not even spend a second longer there if he could finish in just 10 seconds.

Long Ying shook his head. "I'm thinking about something."

"Oh."

Yu Yan leaned on the chair and just when she thought that there wouldn't be anyone she knew, she noticed Kang Mao Yao and her husband, Lei Huan, came to the venue. Her eyebrows furrowed.

'I thought Lei Xing Yi will deal with them. But from the way it looks like, she didn't really do anything again.'

Yu Yan was still thinking when she saw her aunt looking in her way. Not wanting to create trouble, Yu Yan merely flashed a smile as a way to greet. However, the other party didn't seem to like it in the slightest bit.

Her expression looked like she was looking at a trash rather than her niece.

Long Ying glanced at his wife. "Did you provoke her again?"

"I didn't do anything." Yu Yan tilted her head. She was not even going out to meet with Kang Mao Yao lately. How in the world she supposed to offend the other party when they couldn't even meet with each other? That was impossible. 

Or was it because of Lei Xing Yi? Yu Yan did work together with Lei Xing Yi and her young cousin had a fallout with the Kang Family not long ago. It was no longer a secret that she was 'kicked out' from the family or cut ties completely with her parents.

Yu Yan was still thinking when she saw Kang Mao Lan got close. 

Kang Mao Yao walked in her direction and looked at her up and down. From one glance, it was easy to see that Yu Yan was dressed well. The dress from Beauty Design was by no means cheap. It was one of the highest ends brand that was quite famous in this country. Many people from upper class society would be seeking for the dress from this brand.

And the dress Yu Yan was wearing was one of the newest dress released.

"Hello, Mrs. Lei." Yu Yan decided to use the safest greetings method that was possible.

Kang Mao Yao's mouth twitched when she heard the address. She looked at her niece and sneered. "Now you know how to dress other people properly? And here I thought you're already a criminal just by seeing the dress you buy?"

"Dress?" Yu Yan was amused. "Do you really think that I'm that poor? After selling the share I got for AB mine, there are a lot of money left."

She and Long Ying never exactly hid the fact that they sold the share to Bao Tu. In fact, it was already quite obvious and based on the way Bao Tu did things, it was impossible for him to hide this matter. He would want to announce the shameless thing that this couple did.

After all, it did make him look better. 

Kang Mao Yao, who was prepared to chide Yu Yan until the very end, was stunned when he heard the woman laughed. She looked with bewilderment while Yu Yan sent her a mocking gaze. Her pride and her way of thinking was completely different from Yu Yan. She could not use the same value as what she cared about to nab on Yu Yan.

"Oh? It seems that you don't even care that you'll not have any place in the upper class society with you wasting so much money."

"What's the use of the upper class society? Also, I'm not like you who love party so much that you even neglect your own child. I would rather spend my time with my husband rather than mingling around in so many parties that I didn't have time for my families."

Kang Mao Yao gnashed her teeth in anger. She couldn't believe that there was someone as shameless as this brat who didn't even look like an adult yet. "Yu Yan! Don't go overboard!"

"Overboard?" Yu Yan looked at Kang Mao Yao up and down. "Someone like you who didn't even want to care for her own daughter and spend her time partying all year long, can you even deny that?"

Kang Mao Yao's face turned dark. How could she deny that when a lot of people already knew that she was not someone who cared that much for her daughter. Not many people could find faults in her since many of them also didn't care for their children. However, it was clear that her image in many people's eyes was already quite low.

They looked down on her a bit but being a famous socialite, the people there would not dare to openly mock her.

Most of the time, Kang Mao Yao was the center of attention. She was famous and beautiful, the envy of so many people. The number of times there were people who dared to cross her was extremely limited.

Looking at Yu Yan only made her remember the ungrateful Lei Xing Yi.

That d*mn b*tch even dared to talk back in front of her mother and shamed her without any remorse in the party a few months ago. It caused Kang Mao Yao to be so angry that she wished to kill her own daughter.

"You're really brazen, Yu Yan. As expected as the disgrace of the Yu Family who's kicked out of the family."

"Is that what Kang Mao Lan said to you?" Yu Yan didn't even bother addressing that person as her mother. She felt so vexed that a woman like that was her birth mother.

Yu Yan looked at Kang Mao Yao and sneered.. "Before smearing other people's name, why don't you bring the proof out first? You're just being used by Kang Mao Lan who spread nonsense but you didn't even realize it yet. As someone who spend most of your time in parties, how could you not know that the ones hated the most are those who spread lies?"
