Chapter 129 - Devious Cousins (2)

Bao Tu was certainly dumbfounded when he heard the price Kang San Hao asked. This… this was daylight robbery! Even Long Ying hadn't asked that much as it was impossible to get profit if he bought one at that price.

Well, he managed to reduce the price after some negotiation with Long Ying too since it was hard for him to procure that much money just for small share. Now… he was faced with tough decision once more.

"That… isn't it a bit too much?"

"I'm not lacking money." Kang San Hao's answer could easily anger someone. His meaning was clear: he didn't necessarily need to sell the share as it was his in the first place. And since he was a soldier, he didn't really need much money to sustain himself as he was used to simple life.

Bao Tu gritted his teeth. "Is it not possible to be 100 million of yuan?"

Kang San Hao's gaze was cold and he turned around. It was clear from his stance that he was unwilling to share it at such price. That was what made Bao Tu felt even more headache.

"Yo, what's going on here." Kang San Hai walked from the front door, looking as if he had just enjoyed a long trip outside.

Kang Xie Jing frowned. If he was not wrong, the two of them didn't come out at all this morning after they had their breakfast. Did that brat jumped out of the window just to make the impression that he was outside?

The thought made the corner of Kang Xie Jing's lips twitched.

This rascal!

"Cousin in law Kang San Hai," Bao Tu greeted.

Kang San Hai arched his eyebrows. "So you finally got married, huh? What are you doing here and not accompanying your new wife? I'm sure that she must be missing you very much."

"I'm here because I would like to discuss about buying some of the mine profit share that you two have. I'm sure that Yu Yan have told you that my business in centered in jewelries and diamonds are one of the few gems I badly need. Of course, I would make sure to pay the proper price as I'm sure that it'll be necessary for the compensation."

Kang San Hai looked at Bao Tu and smiled lightly. "What makes you think that we want to sell the share?"

Bao Tu felt sudden chills on his back when he saw the smile on Kang San Hai's face. From what he knew, this young man was not that much of a powerful person and instead known as a big playboy. But for a moment, he felt as if he was not facing an easy going person but rather a deep scheming person.

He blinked his eyes and Kang San Hai's image had returned to normal.

'Did I hallucinate because I'm thinking too much lately?'

"This…"

"Are you that worried? Don't worry, I don't have interest for the mine share either. Since you're a family member, I can give you discount!"

"Hai." Kang San Hao's tone was full of warning.

Kang San Hai looked at his big brother and flashed a friendly smile. "Don't worry, Bro. I will make sure that you get more than enough money to last you for a decade!"

"You're the big money spender."

Kang San Hai: "…"

Bao Tu felt a bit loss when he heard these two conversation. Luckily, Kang San Hai returned back to talk about the business with him. After some negotiation, it was decided that he would buy the share for nearly the buyout price. It was expensive but it was better than the price that Kang San Hao randomly quoted at the beginning.

That way, he would be able to earn his money back within two to three years if the amount was still the same. But since the amount of profit was still increasing lately, it might be faster. 

And with his jewelry business, it wouldn't take that long for him to recoup his losses since he could get the raw material for free now. 

As Bao Tu walked away with big smile on his face, Kang San Hai scoffed. "He's that happy even though he only got 39%. Oh wait, he also got the one from Yu Yan, so his share is already 44%."

Kang Xie Jing arched his eyebrows. "That's the highest share."

Previously, the one who held the biggest share was Kang Mao Yao at 27% while Kang Mao Lan held 24%. Yu Xin held only a pitiful 5%, the same as Yu Yan previously. The last 5% was still held by the lawyer for Lei Xing Yi if she ever succeeded in fulfilling the requirement.

Kang Mao Yao's husband never had any share in the first place. It might be also Grandfather Kang, Kang Shu Jiang, consideration because the two couple didn't seem to be that willing to get married.

With her husband had to rely on her, the two were unlikely to get divorced anytime soon because of finance problem. 

"But I really wonder how that Bao Tu managed to get so much capital money." Kang San Hai stretched his body. "Xing Yi had said that AB mine will only last until next year at most and even then, the amount will drop since it had started to run out. I wonder how he will feel when he realized that the profit will be negative and yet he forked such a large sum of money just to get the share."

Kang San Hao took a glass of water. "He deserves it."

"Yes, but Bro, you need to level up your business skill. If you keep being an ice block like that, you won't even be able to woo your girlfriend…"

While the two brothers were bantering, Kang Xie Jing was secretly lamenting to himself. Why did he feel that his sons were even more devious than his father? He sighed to himself and shook his head. 

It was good that the two of them didn't have high ambitions or all hell would break loose. Though, he was pretty sure that his second sons had scammed quite a lot of dumb ladies….

Kang Xie Jing looked at the sky. How in the world did he give birth to this pair of scheming sons?

- Long Ying and Yu Yan's Residence -

Yu Yan got message from her cousins that the deed was done. While Bao Tu would still be able to get some profit for the next few months, the next that came from it would be utter loss.

"Hehehe, An Lin, I'm allowed to get out, right?" Yu Yan asked in a cheerful tone. Long Ying had already gone to work earlier, so it was only her in the house with An Lin who was tasked to protect her.

An Lin silently pondered his Boss's instruction and nodded. "Boss didn't restrict you from going out. However, you have to bring bodyguards along."

"I'm going to mall to celebrate with Feng Mian!"

Celebrate?

He knew that the couple was trying to make Bao Tu lost a lot of money but he had only bought the share and could even sell it back again, right? Though, considering the man's personality, it would be highly unlikely that he would do something like that. Bao Tu also required a lot of diamonds to keep his business floating or he would lose a lot of money.

Yu Yan hurried back to her room and changed her clothes to one that was suitable to go out. An Lin become her driver once more as he brought her to the nearby mall.

"Yan'er!" Feng Mian waved her hand when she saw her best friend. Today, she was dressed in simple t-shirt and jeans. It looked very casual but Yu Yan knew better that the brands of the clothes alone were enough to make ordinary people spit blood.

"Why don't you wear dress, ah?" Yu Yan complained. She herself also wore shirt and jeans, though, as her plan to the mall was to eat with Feng Mian.

Feng Mian pointed to Yu Yan. "You also don't wear a dress, so don't complain. Come on, I have already booked a table for us."

"Which one?"

"This hotpot restaurant."

"Nice! I'll ask for more meat!"

An Lin watched from the back as the two ladies happily chatted with each other. He tried to maintain his distance so that he would not look like a creep. However, he could sense that there were also several other people who were following these two.

Some of them were obviously the bodyguard who were tasked to protect Feng Mian. She was also someone who couldn't do martial arts and her capabilities to protect herself was severely limited. 

The two ladies entered a restaurant and Feng Mian said her name to get the place where she had reserved before.

"Please come over here, Madam." The employee smiled and led the two of them to the VIP room.

Yu Yan looked around and clicked her tongue. "It seems that you've gotten used to waste money now."

"What are you talking about, ah?"
