Chapter 131 - Sudden Situation

Bao Wang opened his mouth. "Your previous trip?"

"I only have some misgiving with your nephew and not the entire Bao Family. Is that clear enough, Mr. Bao?"

Yes, it was very clear, but Bao Wang was still worried. After all, he knew that the Dragon Clan would not always play by the rules and there were many occasion in which they would do things in accordance to what they like and not based on law.

Long Ying looked at Bao Wang. "I keep my words, Bao Wang. I'll not touch Bao Family as long as they didn't try to a wage war first."

He didn't really like to repeat his words. Facing Bao Wang today had already tested his patience several times and Long Ying had no intention to repeat it anymore. If this man was still so annoying like this, he would simply kick the other party out and not let him in anymore.

Bao Wang sighed. "My apologies for being so obstinate, Dragon Clan Head. I'm worried my nephew foolish mistake will lead to the entire family's downfall."

"If he becomes Bao Family head and choose to use his resources against me, I have no qualms fighting against him." Long Ying smiled, yet there was no mirth. Instead, there was coldness in his eyes that was easy to detect.

Just looking at Long Ying, Bao Wang already felt chills on the back of his body. He knew that should Bao Family end up in Bao Tu's hand and the man used his resources to make things difficult for either Long Ying or Yu Yan, Long Ying would never let the entire Bao Family off.

So what if they were a prominent family that was very rich and had a lot of resources?

If Long Ying really wanted to bring the entire family down, he would do it even at the expense of countless resources as they had brought problems to either him or his wife.

Bao Wang sighed internally. Previously, Bao Tu had a good chance to be the next family head. He was competing with the other cousins to become the next head by developing their business and also engaging in some political marriage with their respective partner.

But now that Bao Tu had accidentally offended someone he couldn't offend in his entire life…

That seat would never be his.

And the idiot Bao Tu would never know the reason why the seat was taken away from him. If Long Ying never planned on letting the man knew about his real identity, it was clear that Bao Tu might not even know even if he had dug his early grave and pushed himself inside. 

"I understand." Bao Wang nodded and straightened his body again. "Thank you for giving me your time, Dragon Clan Head."

"I won't see you out."

As Bao Wang walked out, Long Ying tapped the table. He was a man of his words and naturally, he would not touch the entire Bao Family as long as Bao Tu was not the one who inherited the corporation. He was not that idle to take care of them when there were many other families who were already against Long Family and Dragon Clan.

Besides, why should he destroy that family when there were a lot of employee in the company. A lot of people's life also depended on Bao Family. 

He glanced at his phone. "Let's go."

"Boss?"

"My wife is visiting a store, so I must come to accompany her."

Lan Huo was speechless. Did his Boss want to accompany his wife 24 hours a day? While it did sound romantic, it was totally impossible, alright! Unless the two of them didn't need to work or could do their work from home.

Trying to keep up a stoic face that he had learned over the past few months, Lan Huo readied the car for them to go.

In the mall, Yu Yan and Feng Mian were still talking. The topic had now changed to Yu Yan's future plan. After all, Yu Yan still hadn't had any promotion again after she moved to the Capital City.

"Should I talk to Liang to give you a chance?" Feng Mian pondered.

Yu Yan shook her head. "There's no need for that. I'm only in this position for a few months and normally, people will need a long time to have a promotion. It'll be good enough if I can get a promotion in this year."

"I thought that you would say that it's more normal to have several promotions within a year."

"That's only the case if you're a genius!"

Feng Mian giggled. She looked at the time and then passed an apologetic look. "I have agreed with my First Sister in law to visit her today, so I can't stay here for long. Would you like to come with me?"

"No thanks." Yu Yan was not that close to Zhang Family and disturbing Feng Mian's sister in law was certainly out of the question. It would be a different story if Feng Mian invited her to the latter's house, though. 

"Let's hang out again sometime. I already paid for this time, so next is on your tab."

"Gotcha."

The two of them then separated at the front of the restaurant. Feng Mian returned back home while Yu Yan was thinking about what she wanted to do. 

"Madam, Boss is on his way here. Would you like to wait for him?" An Lin informed. He glanced at the group, where the other four were already chatting as his lips twitched.

Lan Huo: Boss is coming to the mall. Tell Madam to pick a place for them to meet.

San Xia: Eh, what? Boss is still going to the mall? Didn't he have to finish some work?

An Luo: I'm certain that Boss have already finished his work

San Xia: Are you sure he didn't ditch his work?

An Luo: … could you please stop talking bad about Boss? He's in this group

San Xia: $%^&*()!

His sister in law's mind was sometimes made out of glass. An Lin was utterly speechless that she made the same mistake of not checking the group members first. Because of her carelessness, Boss had caught numerous times when she was talking bad about him and ended up punishing the two of them.

The other one referred to An Luo for not being able to 'control' his wife's mouth.

Yu Yan nodded. "Alright, I'll wait in cake shop then."

"Yes, Madam."

After receiving the answer, An Lin quickly typed the location into the phone. 

An Lin: Madam is in the third floor, Rosary Cake Store.

Lan Huo: Ok.

San Xia: Lan Huo! Help me snatch Boss's phone so that he would not see the message!

An Luo: Just unsent it!

San Xia: Oh, right!

*San Xia had unsent the message*

An Lin's twitched when he saw the group. There was never ending laugh when they were with each other. He silently moved to their personal group, the one without Boss inside and typed there.

An Lin: Boss wouldn't be happy if he sees the unsent message.

San Xia: Screw it! I dare him to see it and….

Lan Huo: San Xia, go to Island A.

San Xia: What the hell! Lan Huo! Why are you....?

Lan Huo: The one that typed that just now is Boss… he snatched my phone.

An Luo: …

An Lin: …

San Xia: ^&*()!

Series of curses filled the chat group while An Lin chose to keep his phone away expressionlessly. Luckily, he was not with San Xia right now or he might end up accidentally got hit by her furious punches.

He silently prayed for his brother's misfortune.

While An Lin was struggling to keep his expressionless face intact, Yu Yan bought one chocolate pudding and sat down, eating in silence. She wanted to buy one for Long Ying but it would be better to wait for him to come and let him decide what he wanted.

'Hmm?' Yu Yan's eyes landed on the group of people not far from them. Their clothes looked somewhat different from the majority of people in the area. Her interest piqued up as she asked, "An Lin, are there any film or event nearby?"

An Lin stood not far from Yu Yan and raised his head. His eyes narrowed when he saw the group. They didn't look like ordinary group that one would find on the mall. "Madam, please stay vigilant and don't stray far from me."

"Wha…"

Before Yu Yan could ask, there was a loud sound coming from the front and the building quake. Screams of terror and fear filled the place while An Lin pulled Yu Yan and shoved her down the table to protect her from the possibility of getting hit by accidental debris. 

Yu Yan couldn't see anything from her position and dust began to fill the entire place. Her heart thumped with fear and trepidation. She knew that this kind of scene might be common for Long Ying, but this was the first time she experienced it by herself.

"Stay there!"

An Lin shouted to her followed by series of gunshots' sound. 

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Yu Yan crouched down, looking outside through the side of the sofa. Her body was trembling badly but she still braved herself to look outside. What she saw nearly caused her to vomit on the spot.

Bodies, blood, and destruction.

She had seen those things in films but this would be the first time she ever saw one in real life. 

The smell and everything… invoked deep fear from within her heart.
