Chapter 147 - Wedding Invitation

Just thinking about Yu Yan's sister made Long Ying wished that he could kill them directly right now. If not because he knew that Yu Yan only wished for their family destruction and not their lives, he would be the one to make a move and no longer waited. 

"Nothing happened in the end." Yu Yan poked her husband and gave him a reassuring smile. In any case, everything ended well in the end, so she didn't want to think about that incident anymore.

Long Ying looked at Yu Yan and furrowed his brows. "Just thinking about what might happen is already more than enough to make one want to kill them, Yan'er."

Yu Yan paused and shook her head. She looked outside, refusing to look at her husband. It was still afternoon so there were a lot of cars going around the area. There was a glint that flashed on her eyes.

"Death is letting them off easy."

The words were cold and yet there was tinge of heartlessness. While Yu Yan had always put on a cheerful and easy going attitude, she was not someone who was always happy. There were many things within her heart that she could never mention out because of how hard it was.

This matter was simply one of them.

In front of Long Ying, she was someone who often act out of her impulse but she would never cross the bottom line she had placed for herself. Beating people in high school was simply her way of venting her anger to those who dared to bully Long Ying but after that she would forgive them again.

Of course, the days were not completely peaceful at that time.

But for her to completely hate someone… this would be the very first time.

Long Ying stretched his hand and hugged Yu Yan to his embrace. He could sense that her temperature felt colder than usual. The expression on her face was different than what he was used to see as it was cruel and ruthless, completely devoid of any kindness.

The only times when she showed this expression was when she decided to share the video of that cheating duo. Ever since then, she had never been this cold anymore.

"Yan'er."

"Don't look at me…."

"You're pretty." Long Ying gently held Yu Yan's chin and pulled her to look in his direction. In his eyes were was only warmth and loving gaze that was directed to his wife. "I know you very well. You're a good girl, Yan'er."

"I…"

"Isn't it just meant that we're the same type of person?" Long Ying smiled and bent down to kiss Yu Yan on her lips.

His sudden action surprised but as she thought of what he said, Yu Yan knew that it was also the truth. How could he possibly be the leader of Dragon Clan if he was not cold and heartless? 

It was impossible.

As the driver, Lan Huo silently pulled the cover down without daring to look at the back at all. After days of watching the Boss taking care of Yu Yan silently at the hospital, it was now the time for them to watch these two giving out dog food?

'Why didn't I switch place with An Luo this morning?'

Lan Huo lamented the fact that he hadn't taken it into consideration that Boss and Madan would flirt and make out with each other in the car. However, he did miss this two's sweet interaction…

Even though it was torturing for him as a single dog to watch these. 

The care continued to speed up on the road, heading to City C. For the next few months, no one was able to meet with Yu Yan directly as she spent her time training in Island A.

Time passed, a few weeks had passed.

Yu Yan was reading the news and noticed that Bao Tu and Yu Xin's wedding ceremony would be held soon. They already signed the marriage certificate a month prior but they didn't hold the celebration until some time had passed. 

"Do you want to come?" Long Ying asked. He was staying with Yu Yan in Island A because he didn't want to leave her be. As for his work, he only did those that required his immediate attention while the rest was handed to his men.

"Not really…" Yu Yan groaned. She didn't really have any interest to come to this wedding ceremony because she was sure that it was just her mother and sister gloating like a… like a what? She really couldn't think of a comparison right now because she was too lazy.

Long Ying smiled and patted Yu Yan's head tenderly. "You can have a break for a day if you want. The supervisor will let you off."

Yu Yan scoffed. Of course they would let her off. If Long Ying was the one to give the order, how could they refuse? She turned her body around on the sofa, nearly falling down.

"Careful." Long Ying furrowed his eyebrows and extended his hand to prop Yu Yan. His little woman really couldn't stay quiet on one place.

"Hmm, I'm sure that they're going to invite me to the party and make some fun." 

"Then, do you want to play?"

"Hmm, how should I play?" Yu Yan thought of the various novels that she had read in her spare time. When there was not much work from the company, she had a lot of break time and often spent the time either chatting or to read some novels online.

There were a lot of good ideas she could pick from reading various novels. Feng Mian taught her that people have different imagination and reading various types of novels help her to imagine things in her head. Though, Yu Yan had to admit that she couldn't imagine things as quickly as Feng Mian who could easily take out a pencil and began to sketch the moment she had an inspiration.

She was not that much of an art person.

"I really can't think of anything. Crashing onto her wedding party sound pretty good since it can pull the celebration to the newspaper but it'll certainly include my name." Yu Yan sighed. She had enough of popularity from the previous times' incident. There was no need for her to add even more, right?

Long Ying arched his eyebrows. "Do you really only think of coming to create trouble?"

"Then, should I congratulate them earnestly?" Yu Yan squinted her eyes. Hmm, she was really happy that they were together, though. It saved her the trouble of eliminating them separately since she could now deal with one to also deal with the other one.

"Why not?"

"Well, how about if we come to eat?" Yu Yan asked, her eyes sparkled.

Long Ying shook his head. "I can allow you to eat but within limitation. Do you forget that you're currently in healthy diet?"

"Ah…"

To get better quicker, Yu Yan had been tolerating a lot of bitter medicine and tonics or whatever they were. She had been suffering greatly because of the medicines and felt that it was really annoying.

Just how much medicines should she drink to recover?

She felt a bit disheartened when she saw the bowl of medicine that the servants prepared for her from time to time.

"And no wine."

Yu Yan grimaced at her husband's voice. She glared at him, but he merely gave her an innocent look. He must have said it on purpose since she used to like sneaking to drink wine a little each time.

"So, will the break affect my training?" Yu Yan finally asked.

"Nope, it won't." Long Ying moved closer to his wife and hugged her before fixing their position on the sofa. Inhaling her sweet scent made him felt comfortable even though there were a lot of things he had to do outside.

She already had her foundation laid after several weeks of training. Besides, it was not like she trained for 7 days a week since she did have lesser training on weekends. After all, human's body needed time to recover too and he was not going to train her to death.

His heart ached just seeing her tired from time to time.

"Hmm, in that case, let's play a visit." Yu Yan narrowed her eyes. "I also want to pay a visit to Xing Yi to see how her company progress so far."

Aside from helping Lei Xing Yi to recalculate the expense and gave some advice, Yu Yan still hadn't done anything else. After all, she was trapped in this place and had to finish her training first.

"Alright. Do you want to create trouble?"

"No need. I'll just pay a visit to take a look as a bystander. Well, if they are looking at me for trouble, I don't mind pushing her to the top search again." Yu Yan smiled lightly and leaned back before closing her eyes. In any case, she was tired.
