Chapter 61 - Stupid Girl!

[Uh ... we, we just drank a little vodka.]

Dexter immediately took his long coat and jogged. He was so panic! He knew Kaili was allergic to rye and this time she drank vodka, which obviously contained rye. That stupid woman really didn't want to live anymore!

Dexter didn't answer, making Cara nervous, [Doctor Dexter, please come here. Kaili has already passed out. I'm a little drunk too.]

"Where is the address? I'll be there soon!" Since it was Kaili, Dexter would never say no.

When he got there, Dexter's eyes caught Kaili who was already sitting asleep at the table. Cara's jacket covered her back. As soon as Dexter winced at the sight, he was also very upset. Just wait after he had treated Kaili, Dexter would teach Kaili's stupid friend a lesson!

Without a single word out of his cold mouth, Dexter carried Kaili, taking her away without paying any attention to Cara.

As she saw Dexter's back left, the corners of her lips raised slightly, she was very happy.

"Kaili, my poor friend, sorry, I hurt you. This is the way to chase after your husband's love. This way, you two will be together. Hopefully, when you wake up, you'll be a little smart and take advantage of something. Relax, those allergies won't kill you. Making you die will only make me miserable. Good luck, my goddess!"

Elegantly, Cara took her bag and left the bar.

Dexter didn't take Kaili to the hospital. He took her to their house. He thought he would be free to treat Kaili at home. He could express his worries directly.

Just as Dexter was about to treat her, the ringtone on Kaili's cell phone stopped him. At first, Dexter wasn't interested in the incoming call, but since Kaili's cell phone was lying on the table and he accidentally saw the name on it, Dexter changed his intention. He answered the call.

A disturbing woman's voice was heard, "Doctor Dexter, have you treated Kaili?"

"... ..."

Dexter didn't answer. He had received this call because he thought that there might be something important that Cara wanted to say, regarding Kaili's condition. He didn't even think that something like this was happening.

He was her husband. Of course, he worried her the most than everyone else.

Dexter was already getting ready to cut off the call as if she understood the possibility, Cara hurriedly said,

"Doctor Dexter, I just realized, Kaili is not poisoned. So don't do any medication on her."

"She is not poisoned? What do you mean?" Dexter frowned slightly.

Dexter's voice, which was so cold, made Cara shiver a little but continued, "I was a little drunk. When Kaili was crying, I thought her tears were foam. At that time, my vision was blurred. And I, who was still influenced by drunkenness, saw Kaili suddenly fall asleep like that, immediately assumed that she was drunk. So ... just take care of her, give her some hangover soup when she woke up. There's no need to give her medicine, she's just drunk."

Dexter was already panicking half to death and it turned out that his panic was unwarranted! He felt like he wants to strangle the woman with whom he spoke on the telephone line.

Without a word, Dexter hung up the phone. His eyes fell on Kaili.

"Stupid girl, if something bad happens to you, how will I live? I will lose my world. Why are you so careless?"

At first, he was very annoyed to hear the confession from Kaili's friend. But when he saw Kaili's face slightly flushed like rose petals, his anger immediately disappeared, like bewitched.

Dexter put away all his medical equipment and got into bed. As he was about to fix Kaili's blanket, he heard a sweet voice, Kaili was delirious!

"Cara, Dexter is such a jerk, isn't he? I really hate him! I hate him so much! He can only hurt me, he treats me badly!"

Dexter was stunned, his eyes fell on Kaili who was sleeping soundly. Then his hand gently touched Kaili's soft cheek. His face drew closer and closer until his wet lips landed on Kaili's lips.

"Kaili, I'm also confused, even after 5 years, you still can't accept me. Sometimes I can't stop thinking about myself. I often wonder, you have hurt me repeatedly but I still love you, but how about you?"

After saying that, Dexter walked out of the room. He turned off the light and went to his study room. Tonight, his mood was very complicated, especially after hearing Kaili's hate speech. He didn't want to linger beside Kaili. He was afraid that he would hear more words of hate.

Kaili woke up the next morning, realizing herself in a familiar place. Her forehead frowned, why was she here? Who took her home? Could it be Cara?

But just for a moment, Kaili was bothered by that question, something interested her even more, it was Dexter!

After looking at her side, there was no figure she was looking for. Where was he?

Kaili touched the side of the bed, there was no sign that Dexter was lying there. It was cold. Kaili realized one thing. Dexter wasn't beside her all night.

Her heart suddenly sank. For some reason, she seemed to feel the biggest rejection in her life. Suddenly, warm tears came out of her curled lashes. But then, the sound of the door opened startling Kaili. Her wet eyes caught on to the tall figure slowly approaching her.

"Dexter ...." Unconsciously, she called out that name.

Dexter remained elegant and noble, carrying a tray on which was a steaming bowl.

"Good morning! Are you awake?" Dexter's voice was warm penetrating into Kaili's lonely heart.

Kaili didn't answer, but instead tilted her body, not wanting to look at Dexter.

"Eat this so that your body will recover soon." Dexter put the tray on the nightstand.

Seeing Kaili who didn't flinch, Dexter sat beside Kaili.

"Kaili, sit down!" His words were very firm, it seemed that he was not persuading but forcing her.
