The Sky Snow Manor had decided to work with Grandmaster Tiequan regarding the matter of forging a sabre using the Moonlight Metal Ore.
When this news spread across the city, many artificers were genuinely disappointed.
It felt like they had lost a job that not only paid well, but would also help them form good relations with the up and coming Sky Snow Manor.
However, when they saw the person who had been selected for the job, they had no choice but to accept the outcome.
If they belonged to Sky Snow Manor, they would probably have picked Grandmaster Tiequan as well.
Grandmaster Tiequan was considered one of the best in the city when it came to forging weapons, even among the Grandmaster Artificers.
On top of that, he also had ties with Sky Snow Manor from the start.
It would be strange if Sky Snow Manor did not choose to work with Grandmaster Tiequan in the end.
The only question they had was… why did Sky Snow Manor get their hopes up then?
Of course, they only kept this question in their hearts and did not confront Sky Snow Manor directly.
After all, they had no wish to strain their relationsh.i.p.s with Sky Snow Manor over this matter.
Sacred Cliff City became much busier in the following few months.
Many people saw the Sacred Cliff City Guards' upcoming expedition against the Radiant Raven Sect as a golden opportunity to show their worth.
Members of the Sacred Cliff City Guards rushed to sign up, and even many of those who were not part of the Sacred Cliff City Guards started volunteering to assist the expedition team in a bid to gain the favour of the big shots.
The upper echelons of the Sacred Cliff City Guards naturally saw through their motives, but they agreed nevertheless.
In their eyes, the remnants of the Radiant Raven Sect had never been a threat, especially since they had the backing of the Burning Titan Overlord.
So they might as well take this chance to identify any potential warriors who could be drafted into their ranks.
Because of that, countless warriors started working hard to improve their techniques and equipment, making sure that they would be ready to perform when the time came.
Artificers in the city got busier with an influx of orders, and Sky Snow Manor similarly got busier with requests on inscriptions.
Thanks to the huge number of orders from various kinds of people, Lu Tianzi finally had the luxury to delegate lower tier requests to Housekeeper Changyu, Ningxi, Linrou, and Fengfei, allowing them to try their hand at placing inscriptions for certain clients.
They were thrilled to say the least.
After such a long period of only studying the inscription process and processing inscription materials, they had now been promoted to being actual inscription masters!
Lu Tianzi made sure to observe and guide them during the first few sessions.
It was only after he concluded that they were capable of doing it without supervision that Lu Tianzi allowed them to handle these jobs on their own.
There were still failures here and there. But since these were lower tier requests, these mistakes were still considered rather inexpensive.
Lu Tianzi reckoned that the experience gained by the four servants, as well as the time saved by Lu Tianzi, was worth much more.
Nanlan Qianxue started to stay out longer as well, sometimes spending a few days straight at the Fairy Talisman House.
Just like Sky Snow Manor, the Fairy Talisman House had gotten busier, and Nanlan Qianxue was given a lot more work to do, providing her with much more opportunities to practise her talisman making techniques.
Spring arrived before long.
On this day, Lu Tianzi and Nanlan Qianxue did not go about with their usual routine. Instead, they left Sky Snow Manor together for the first time in a long while.
They waited patiently in the unfamiliar front hall, casually sipping the tea that had been served to them.
It did not take long before Grandmaster Tiequan pushed open the door and walked in with big strides.
"Welcome to my humble abode, Young Brother Lu, and... Young Sister Qianxue!" Grandmaster Tiequan hesitated a little before addressing Nanlan Qianxue.
After all, he was not too familiar with the young lady.
"Greetings, Senior," the young duo immediately stood up and clasped their fists.
"Take a seat," Grandmaster Tiequan gestured before sitting down on the main seat. "Now then, let's get down to the chase. Here is what you came for."
From within Grandmaster Tiequan's hands, a spatial ring floated over towards Lu Tianzi, who caught it easily with one hand.
Lu Tianzi sank his perception into the spatial ring and with a flick of his wrist, a heavy sabre appeared in his hands.
In terms of colour, the sabre was a uniform black, all the way from the pummel of the hilt to the point of the blade. There were simple engravings of the sun and the moon respectively on each face of the blade, while stars were carved into the pommel. At first glance, it looked rather ordinary.
However, that was just how it looked on the surface.
The moment he held onto the grip of the sabre, Lu Tianzi could feel the energy coursing through the weapon, smooth and unobstructed. This energy originated from the sabre itself, proving that it was at least of the Origin Core rank.
In fact, this energy was much stronger than that of the Moon Culler, and even contained traces of the Law of Yin.
Lu Tianzi's eyes shot open when he felt that.
Even Nanlan Qianxue who only tagged along for fun could not help but be surprised.
For the sabre to be able to harnass the power of world laws without relying on its user... that was the mark of an Overlord rank treasure!
"How is it? Are you satisfied?" Grandmaster Tiequan asked.
"I am more than satisfied," Lu Tianzi smiled. "Thank you, Senior."
Grandmaster Tiequan nodded in satisfaction after hearing Lu Tianzi's words.
Then again, Grandmaster Tiequan had expected at least this much.
Feeling that this was an opportunity to resolve the psychological knot between them, Grandmaster Tiequan had really put in his all this time, even investing quite a bit of his own treasures in order to make this masterpiece of a sabre.
The result was a a true Overlord rank treasure that even Overlord realm powerhouses would love to get their hands on.
If Lu Tianzi was still not satisfied with it, then something must be really wrong with his head!
"Does the sabre has a name?" Lu Tianzi asked.
"The Fallen Sun," Grandmaster Tiequan replied confidently. "By channelling the Law of Yin, it acts like the complete opposite of an actual sun, wrecking havoc in the darkness of the night."
"The Fallen Sun, eh?" Lu Tianzi repeated while examining the sabre once more.
At this point, he could not help but think of the Moon Culler.
Both of his main weapons bore the Yin attribute, making them more effective at night. This was something that he should keep in mind when planning his actions in the future.
"I deliberately left the inscription portion untouched," Grandmaster Tiequan continued. "I figured that as an inscription master yourself, you would have your own ideas. I would not want to spoil that bit of freedom for you."
"Thank you for the consideration, Senior," Lu Tianzi nodded. "I do indeed have some ideas already."
"As expected of the manor lord of the up and coming Sky Snow Manor," Grandmaster Tiequan grinned. "Well then, you should take your leave. I imagine that you would like to refine the Fallen Sun as soon as possible."
"Before that, there is something else that I would need to trouble Senior with," Lu Tianzi said.
"Oh? Feel free to speak," Grandmaster Tiequan said.
"If anyone asks about the sabre that you forged for me, can Senior tell them that it is just a Peak Origin Core rank treasure?" Lu Tianzi asked.
Lu Tianzi was thankful for Grandmaster Tiequan's work on the Fallen Sun. However, he also had to be careful not to reveal this treasure carelessly.
If an Overlord realm powerhouse coveted his sabre and decided to go after him for it, things could get really tricky.
On that note, he might have to make a substitute sabre just in case he had to hide it from others.
After all, it was already widespread knowledge that Grandmaster Tiequan was forging a sabre for him.
The Torrential Sabre would never be able to pass off as a work of the Grandmaster Artificer, and that was even banking on the fact that others would not recognise it as his original weapon.
"I understand, it is indeed best to be careful," Grandmaster Tiequan nodded. "In that case, would you like an extra Peak Origin Core rank sabre to act as a substitute?"
Lu Tianzi's eyes lit up once more. "Since Senior has already spoken, I shall not reject your kind intentions!"

The latest news in Sacred Cliff City:
Grandmaster Tiequan had completed the sabre that Sky Snow Manor had asked for. Unexpectedly, it was only a Peak Origin Core rank sabre. Still, Manor Lord Lu was only at the Third Cycle Origin Core realm, so many believed that it was specially tailored for Manor Lord Lu's personal use.
A week later, it was Grandmaster Weiwo's turn to reveal that he had also completed his full set of equipment, which he named the Lunar Orbit Battle Set. It was a full set of Overlord rank equipment, including the helm, armour, bracers, leg plates, and spear.
In other words, it was nothing short of a dazzling masterpiece!
If these two piece of news had been revealed separately, nobody would have linked them together.
However, since they were released in the span of two weeks, everyone could not help but compare the two.
This was especially so since it was already common knowledge that the two Grandmaster Artificers were on bad terms, and both used the precious Moonlight Metal Ore as their base material.
In fact, it was said that Grandmaster Weiwo had sent a letter to Grandmaster Tiequan, asking to compare notes on their recent products.
Not surprisingly, there was no response from Grandmaster Tiequan on that matter.
How could a Peak Origin Core rank sabre ever compare to a full set of Overlord rank equipment?
Many watched on in schadenfreude as Grandmaster Tiequan lost face this time, but Lu Tianzi was genuinely grateful.
He understood that given Grandmaster Tiequan's nature, it must be rather unbearable to be put down in such a manner. It was good that he managed to maintain calm and not blow the matter up.
However, there was nothing Lu Tianzi could do to remedy the situation without compromising his own safety.
All he could do was to remember this as a favour, one that he would repay in the future.

"Well then, I'll be leaving things here in your capable hands," Lu Tianzi said. "Depending on how things go, it might be a while until we return."
"Don't worry, Master and Mistress. No matter when you decide to return, I will make sure that Sky Snow Manor will be just as you left it!" Housekeeper Changyu patted his chest in assurance. "Take care and farewell," Lu Tianzi said after sweeping his gaze over Housekeeper Changyu and the three maids.
Nanlan Qianxue similarly nodded to them in acknowledgement.
Even as the duo left the manor, their servants remained standing there, their gazes locked onto the disappearing back views of their two young masters.
They could not help but feel grateful in their hearts.
It should have been just a regular job, but it could be said that their lives had been completely changed because of their stint here at the Sky Snow Manor.
They might not be as skilled as their young master, they had all become legitimate inscription masters in their own right.
No, this was not enough.
They needed to aim higher in order to not let down the time and effort that had been spent on nurturing them.
Who knows?
If they worked hard enough, perhaps they would one day be able to follow in their young master's footsteps, representing Sky Snow Manor to shock the city with their excellence in the art of inscriptions!
After leaving Sky Snow Manor in their servants' care, Lu Tianzi and Nanlan Qianxue left to meet up with Young Master Xuan Hao near the city gate.
They had already agreed to leave Sacred Cliff City on this day, so they were surprised to see that there was suddenly a stranger waiting there with Young Master Xuan Hao and Ruan Ling.
The man who looked to be in his eighties. His face was covered with wrinkles, and his long hair and beard were completely white. Even then, the vigour in his eyes made it apparent that he was no helpless old man.
"Greetings, Manor Lord Lu!" the man clasped his fists towards Lu Tianzi and Nanlan Qianxue when they approached. "It is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance!"
"Greetings, Senior," Lu Tianzi and Nanlan Qianxue politely returned the greeting before Lu Tianzi turned towards Young Master Xuan Hao. "This is…?"
"Hahaha, look at me. How could I have forgotten to introduce myself? Please pardon this old man for the poor manners," the man laughed. "I am a steward of the Timeless Flame Sect. You can just call me Old Zheng."
"How can that do?" Lu Tianzi shook his head in refusal. "It would be better if I address you as Senior Zheng."
"Hahaha! What good manners!" Old Zheng laughed. "Just like what I have heard, you are a good lad indeed!"
"Thank you for your kind words, Senior," Lu Tianzi smiled in return.
However, Lu Tianzi was already on guard.
It was faint and well-hidden, but Lu Tianzi could sense that in that short exchange of words, Old Zheng's perception had swept across both Nanlan Qianxue and himself, fully investigating their cultivation levels and physique.
Of course, Lu Tianzi did the same in return.
To his surprise, this Old Zheng who had seemingly come out of nowhere was actually a Nascent Core realm Overlord!
Lu Tianzi could not help but sigh in his heart.
As expected of one of the ancient sects, just a steward was already at the Overlord realm.
During this trip to the Timeless Flame Sect, he would best be careful just in case anything unexpected were to happen!
