For Desella it was an entirely different case. She was so close to Severus that she could easily hear his beating heart and his warm breathing on her neck. His arms around her waist were not at all uncomfortable but they had a strong grip. To be honest she was about to scream if not for Severus fast reflexes and covering her mouth from his palms. Her wet lips were sealed by his palms. Desella flushed red when she observed how close and intimate they were.
As soon as those guards left, Desella asked the question which she wanted to ask from a long time.
Severus didn't answer her but shushed her.
He slowly whispered in her ear," be patient for a while. I will tell you everything"
His words were like magic for her ears and she obediently shut her mouth.
As Severus predicted, soon those two guards came back again.
"Senior, why are we here again?"
"To verify."
"Verify what?"
"Didn't you said that you heard some noises?"
"Yeah, I did but didn't you said that it was just some reverberating noise"
"Fool. It's true that voice reverberates inside the tunnel but it doesn't cost you anything to double-cross it. If it's an enemy then we can finish it in its early stage and if not then it can be just an extra walk. Do you understand?"
"OOOOF, Senior. You are amazing."
"Stop bootlicking me and learn something. Always wandering around and never focus on one thing, that's the thing you are expert in"
The old guard chided the young guard.
"Oooops, sorry senior. It seems there is a lot to learn from you"
"Of course you do"
"I think it was just a reverberating voice, nothing else. Paste a green slip here and let's move to another point"
"Yes senior"
The young guard quickly took out a sticky note from his rugged bag and pasted it on the wall. "Done senior, let us go"
"Come on"
The voices again faded.
Severus and Desella came out from the hiding.
"Severus it's too dark. I can't see anything"
It was true that the tunnel was dark. Earlier there was still some light because those guards were carrying lanterns but as they left now, the tunnel became pitch black again.
