Chapter 182: Moon

"You scared me enough noworry…" Severus said casually but his clenched fist betrayed him.

Noworry knew this art was a bit more serious than others but he needs to tell. For Severus' own safety. He should be aware of the trick's enemy will use on him so that he can be prepared for the attack.

Severus ruffled his hair. "All this mummy stiff is making me fidgety. I cannot just sit here and wait for something to happen. Can I?" He looked at Noworry with a questioning gaze.

[Why are you looking at me?] He was perplexed.

"Can I?" Severus did not bother to explain and just repeated his question.

[…I do not know. It is not about whether you can or cannot. You do not have the privilege to choose any Severus.] Noworry explained to him honestly.

Severus gave a big sigh and without any further argument went inside the bathroom.

Noworry didn't know what was cooking inside Severus' mind but whatever it would be, it surely won't be safe.

However, this was one of the reasons Noworry like being with Severus.

Every day was filled with adventure and with every problem they faced, Noworry happens to see different aspects of human emotion. It helped him to study human emotion at a close range which was way too beneficial for him.

He did not want to repeat his past mistakes.

After a few minutes, Severus came out, fully dressed in his own clothes.

All black.

Seems like black was his favorite color.

Although Noworry knew what Severus was up to but he still played by the ear. [what are you up to?]

Severus gave a big smirk.

"Do they really think they can bully me? All that time when I was unconscious, I was studying their energy. Although I was unconscious, my subconscious was awake. I heard everything they said and felt what they did. "

[Really?] Noworry asked in shock since he was not able to join with Severus subconscious.

"Yep!

"They will pay for injecting me with that poison" Severus was filled with rage when he said that.

Noworry eyes bulged out. "Poison? Really? They fed you poison?]

He could not believe it.

With a grave expression, Severus nodded his head. "It's the same poison that I have in my sword's blade. However, the basic components of this poison are bit different. Even the composition is totally different."

[May be since they have regional differences with Rivera] Noworry was unsure but this was the only plausible option.

Severus too nodded his head as this could be a reason, but he was not sure.

"Don't fret! The poison was still weak and didn't have any major effects on my body" Severus reassured Noworry after he saw him all panicky.

Noworry's restless heart finally came to peace.

[So. What is the plan?]

"Same as it was from the start," Severus said with a grin.

"We are going to find that cursed spirit" This time Severus was full of confidence.

Even noworry was quite amazed to see his confidence.

[Take it slowly lad. Where is all that confidence coming from?] Noworry asked as a matter of fact.

Severus waved his hand.

"I was born confident" He inevitably commented.

Noworry really wanted to give him a reality check. He refrained himself reminding Severus that he was reincarnated.

[As you wish] Noworry knew persuading Severus was a futile thing so he gave in and supported him.

"That's like a good boy" Severus patted Nowory 's head but before he could touch it, the bird jumped, and Severus' hand didn't get to pat his head.

Severus pouted and completely ignored him. With long strides, he marched forward.

Still a kid.

Noworry quietly perched on Severus' shoulder. Severus too felt the tiny presence on his shoulder but didn't reject him as his lips quirked up.

[So, lad tell me what we are going to do?]

"Cursed spirit"

[How are we going to find her?]

Severus looked at Noworry as if he were looking at Idiot.

"We don't need to find her, instead she would be the one who would come to us."

[Why? Why would she bother?] Noworry asked out.

"Why not?" Severus grinned at him.

"Did you forget what I told you? That cursed spirit is infamous for attacking men, Idiot."

Severus didn't reply while a placid smile didn't leave his lips.

Noworry panicked.

"Then just fight with her" A sweet voice resounded.

Severus' footsteps halted while Noworry blood ran cold.

Even from the back, he could sense the frightnig aura. What shocked him greatly was that what, Severus said came true.

The cursed spirit really came to them.

Severus calmly turned around and revealed his face as he pulled his hood up.

"It's a pleasure to meet you miss spirit."

CHUCKLES!

When Noworry saw the spirit, he got the not shock of his life.

The spirit did not look hideous at all as it was described. Instead, she looked like an 18-year-old girl. Brown curly hairs with wheatish skin. Her face resembled Minya but looked softer than him.

Her round face with chubby cheeks made her look adorable.

But that was to it.

She looked adorable.

Cute!

Just like a child.

There was no trace of beauty in her.

"Aren't you the shadow knight Severus Series" She whispered.

"I am" Severus replied.

She blushed at his reply. Just like a kid, she came forward, taking one step at a time.

"Heh! You look more handsome than I imagined" She complimented him.

"I am flattered."

Noworry was seriously starting to have doubts about Severus' preferences.

Noworry was as vigilant he could be.

Although the spirit in front of them looked harmless but, once bitten twice shy.

Noworry knew these were nothing but deceptions to lure the prey.

"May I ask why you are here?"

"Of course not," Severus replied with a straight face.

It was a complete 180-degree turn.

His attitude, as well as tone, completely changed.

The spirit was stunned for a moment.

It was the first time someone has ever denied her.

After a moment of shock, curiosity flashed in her eyes.

"My My such a tsun tsun knight. Girls of Rivera must be blessed to witness such beauty."

Noworry totally agreed with him but then kept his mind clear. He remembered that she was able to guess his thoughts.

It was new for him.

Despite Severus, there was no one else who could hear him but today, she added herself to that exception list.

"Fine if you don't want to tell then don't" She did not make a fuss out of it and was going to leave when Severus called her back.

"Wait…"

The girl instantly turned back and passed a smile back to him.

"Yes"

"What is your name?" He asked.

"Proper names are poetry in the raw. Like all poetry they are untranslatable"

Severus felt hopeless against her.

Such drama for telling a simple name but for the sake of his plan, he needs to go on with her.

"Mind I call you Moon?" He said in a deep voice.

Severus sure was not aware of his charms or else he would have never used his sword to win a fight.

The girl was tranced when she heard him.

"MOON" She repeated the word.

A smile blossomed on her face. She turned all giddy and cheerful.

"Of course, of course, you can call me Moon."

Today everything felt dreamy to Noworry.

Severus smiled when he saw how excited she was.

"So, moon could you give me a tour of this palace?" He asked gently.

"Now?" The spirit who was named as moon asked innocently.

"It's okay. You can tour me around in the daytime. Will you?"

After Severus gave in to her, her expression turned more awful.

For a minute Severus felt guilty but did not know why.

"What happened? Why do you look as if you will cry anytime?"

"Because I will…."

"…"

Severus was confused.

"Why?"

"Because I can't come out in the daytime" She grumbled in annoyance.

Severus heard what she grumbled.

Slowly he came forward and patted the little girl's head. "It's okay. Do it when you have time" He said with a warm smile.

Earlier the spirit was controlling her tears but now she failed.

There was a strange habit about her.

No matter whether she giggled or talked, everything sounded like whispers.

Even her crying felt like whispers.

On such a dark night it would surely give someone creeps if heard.

"There, don't cry," Severus tried to pacify her.

"Moon. Look how beautiful the moon is" Severus called her out as he pointed at the moon, far away in the sky from the corridor window.

The spirit girl stopped sniffling and looked where Severus was pointing.

"Is the moon really beautiful?" She asked innocently.

It was hard to guess, to which moon she was referring to. It sounded more like self-doubt than a question.

Severus replied without even thinking. "Of course"

Noworry who was perched on Severus' shoulder too looked outside to see the beautiful moon, but he didn't find it beautiful so he just turned back to keep an eye on the spirit girl but when he did turn, she vanished.

She vanished in thin air.

[Severus] Noworry called him out.

Severus furrowed his eyebrows when Noworry called him out.

With a sulky face, he replied. [What?]

Noworry really wanted to hit him.

[Where is your moon?] He asked spitefully.

DUH!

"What do you mean where she is? Wasn't she here…?" Severus ate the words he was going to utter.
