“Uncle Wang, why did you park so close to the school today?” An Wen asked as she opened the car door. Suddenly, she noticed that another person was already sitting inside. It was Chu Qichen.

The older man’s hair was parted and slicked back to expose his forehead. He had a fashionable and elegant gentleman’s hairstyle, and wore a neat tie with a black, formal suit over a white shirt with the buttons done all the way to the top. Chu Qichen crossed one of his slender legs over the other. It seemed like this was the only way for him to properly arrange his long legs inside this narrow car. He was spotless from head to toe, and his black, leather shoes seemed like they were recently washed. Not to mention, his face was pale and handsome. He had thin lips, a long and straight nose, and an angular face that seemed like it was finely carved by knives. It was not surprising that the Original Host had fallen head over heels for him as he had an irresistibly attractive face.

However, Chu Qichen’s bright eyes were too composed and his face had a naturally stern look. Whenever he gazed at someone else, the other party would feel as though his temper was about to flare up. He also made other people feel like they were beneath him.

“Mister Chu, why are you here?” An Wen asked.

“Get in.” Chu Qichen spoke softly, but his tone made it seem like he was giving a strict order.

An Wen obediently entered the car and closed the door.

The atmosphere inside the car was extremely stifling and quiet as the driver drove back to the villa. The driver usually loved to chat, but he was currently too afraid to say anything. The older man always had the impression that An Wen was an introverted person who always lowered her head and spoke softly. Hence, he always spoke to her in a soft and gentle tone because he was afraid of scaring her. However, this was not the case anymore. It seemed that she had changed greatly.

Strangely, it felt as though his own daughter had grown up.

“Girls should always be more cheerful,” Chu Qichen said out of the blue.

An Wen nodded as though she was receiving a lesson. After that, the atmosphere in the car turned silent again.

Aunt Liu had already prepared their lunch when they reached the villa. There was a delighted look on her face when she saw them entering the house. Aunt Liu said, “Sir, miss, your meal is ready.”

Without hesitation, Chu Qichen removed his shoes at the entrance before he walked to the side of the sofa and took off his suit jacket. The man’s body looked leaner after removing his jacket. An Wen could faintly see the muscles beneath his clothes as the front of his shirt was sticking to his body.

The older man did not seem to have eyebags or dark circles under his eyes. He also had a great physique. She could immediately tell that he was a person who worked and rested at set times. One could also tell that he exercised frequently.

Casually, Chu Qichen placed his jacket on the sofa before he turned around to look behind him. An Wen suddenly noticed that he was glancing at her and realized that she had forgotten to remove her shoes because she was foolishly staring at him. Immediately, An Wen lowered her head and hurriedly took off her shoes before entering the room.

Chu Qichen was already tucking into his meal when An Wen came downstairs after placing her bag down and washed her hands. She sat on the opposite side of him and started eating as well.
