Chapter 38：The Combo Skills

The dark ghost charged at Xiao Yu with a roar. Xiao Yu turned around and fled right away.

None of his skills had finished their cool-downs yet, and he only had 33% health left. Xiao Yu was not foolish enough to fight against the creature in close-range combat. He reached the top of a sand slope as fast as he could.

But the dark ghost was truly fast. It only took the creature an instant to arrive next to Xiao Yu. Seeing the huge body of the dark ghost coming closer, Xiao Yu bent his legs slightly and jumped off the sand slope.

He rolled down the slope like a tumbling log after he dodged the attack of the dark ghost. He landed on the ground after tumbling down the sand slope. Feeling dizzy, Xiao Yu staggered to his feet and then ran forward as quickly as his legs could carry him.

The dark ghost jumped down from the sand slope, but it pounced on an empty space and landed on the ground at the bottom of the sand slope. No sooner had the creature stood on its feet did it start to pursue in Xiao Yu's direction.

Two seconds… one second… the dark ghost drew nearer.

Hiding skill!

Finding that the cool-down of his hiding skill was done, Xiao Yu used the hiding skill again to evade the attack of the dark ghost, disappearing from sight.

After his health recovered, Xiao Yu ran as fast as he could while staring at the cool-down times of his skills. The backstabbing skill was done, and so were the evisceration and reversed backstabbing skills.

The dark ghost behind him didn't give up chasing him and rushed over with a roar. Xiao Yu turned around and retreated backward while facing the creature.

"I have to pull this off. Otherwise, I won't have another chance." Seeing the large body of the dark ghost leaping at him, Xiao Yu backed up a few steps and bent down a little. The force in his body suddenly burst out as if it were an exploding bomb, and he unleashed a tremendous amount of energy.

Roar!!!

Xiao Yu uttered a wild-animal like growl as the muscles in his right arm quivered.

Xiao Yu had no way to retreat right now, and so he believed that he should die a splendid death if he couldn't succeed.

Xiao Yu completed the last skill as his chest was hit by a powerful blow, and he was knocked down. He had only completed 53% of the evisceration skill.

Xiao Yu landed on the ground heavily. After wiping the blood from the corners of his mouth, Xiao Yu checked his health: 5% left. Feeling startled, he didn't expect the dark ghost to have unleashed a burst attack, knocking out 65% of his health.

After being hit by the evisceration attack, 221 points of damage popped up over the dark ghost's head. However, the dark ghost was not dead yet. It flung itself at Xiao Yu even though it was staggering a little.

Seeing the dark ghost charging at him, Xiao Yu was terrified. He climbed up from the ground and began to run away. With 5% health left, he couldn't afford to be struck again by the dark ghost.

Damage points kept emerging from the head of the dark ghost one after the other. The creature couldn't hold up any longer in the end and dropped onto the ground with a thud.

Xiao Yu was relieved when he saw the increasing experience points in his experience bar. He panted heavily as he sat on the ground. He had finally killed the dark ghost.
