After he fully recovered, Xiao Yu left the ragged rocks and headed toward the ancient tomb in the distance.

He was climbing the mountain as he roamed through the ragged rocks. By the time he arrived at the halfway point of the mountain, he saw a run-down, ancient tomb embedded into the cliff. The words on the tomb monument were unrecognizable due to erosion over the years. But he could still tell that they were the words of the Erathia Empire. The ancient and powerful empire, like these words, had disappeared in the long river of history, with only some unrecognizable marks remaining.

There was an underground tunnel beside the tomb; it was pitch-black inside. It was also unknown where the tunnel led to.

Xiao Yu investigated the surroundings for a while and ascertained no danger was lurking before he descended the steps of the ancient tomb.

He shivered once when a gust of gloomy and cold air assaulted his face. The steps were covered with moss, so it was very slippery to walk on. Xiao Yu was cautious when putting his feet on the steps.

His surroundings grew brighter after he passed a dark section of the tunnel.

Xiao Yu craned his neck to look up at the light source and saw many glowing orbs each the size of a fist. They were inserted into the top of the cliff wall three meters apart, and the light emitted by the glowing orbs illuminated the tunnel.

“These glowing orbs are huge!” Xiao Yu couldn’t help but feel amazed. However, items like glowing orbs were not something precious in Enzes Land, where magic items were abundant. Hence, tomb robbers were not interested in stealing glowing orbs.

As he walked along the broad and illuminated tunnel, Xiao Yu sensed that he was getting closer to the center, and he wondered what he would encounter there.

As he was walking forward, he suddenly felt a weird feeling under his feet. It felt like the stones under his feet were moving.

“This is a very powerful attack.” Xiao Yu backed up a few steps and dodged several incoming arrows. The arrows passed his body and struck the cave wall next to him. They buried themselves into the rocks of the cave wall.

It grew quiet after the rainstorm of arrows. Xiao Yu checked his health and found it stood at a little more than 60%. He couldn’t afford to take any more risks. He quickly sat down on the stone ground and ate some bread that could help recover his health.

This ancient tomb turned out to be much more dangerous than he had imagined, with dangers lurking everywhere.

The poison effect had eventually vanished after lasting for about 10 seconds. His health increased slowly before he fully recovered.

Xiao Yu stood up. He couldn’t afford to act as carelessly as he had done earlier. He paid close attention to each stone slab he was about to step on and tiptoed as he walked forward. He usually did this when he used the stealth travel skill.

He stepped over a few stone slabs as a test before heading inside the tunnel by walking against the cave wall.

He saw some figures moving back and forth up ahead, which might be a creature of some sort. Xiao Yu hid his body up against the wall and looked in their direction. He found a few skeleton soldiers patrolling.

“One… two… three… six.” He counted them and found that there were six of them. Skeleton soldiers would attack members of the Spirit tribe if they didn’t sign an agreement with a spirit wizard. Though the members of the Spirit tribe had to deal with the corpses all year long, they nonetheless gave off some human energy.

The six level-10 skeleton soldiers blocked Xiao Yu’s path. At his current level, Xiao Yu had no way to kill that many level-10 monsters, so he had no choice but to go around them. He entered the stealth travel mode and approached the six skeleton soldiers slowly and carefully.

He was a member of the Spirit tribe, but the human scent on his body was not that strong, so the skeleton soldiers didn’t notice him.

“Dealing with them doesn’t seem so hard.” Xiao Yu brushed past these skeleton soldiers and kept going.
