Chapter 73. Kidnapping Situation (2)

[Leisha’s POV]

It was thick, foggy darkness. There was nothing in hindsight, only the sound of footsteps from distances away could be heard. A tight and heavy sensation locked both my arms away as the footsteps grew louder with each passing moment, it felt cold… winter cold.

All of a sudden, the footsteps stopped as the darkness peeled itself away, revealing a beautiful white-haired lady dressed in a white dress similar to the ones Ayumi uses. The lady had thick red eyes that were as if blood, she was like a vampire with a glamorous aura.

“Who are you?”

The lady didn’t respond, instead, she looked at me straight dead into the eye. A heavy pressure blasted down onto me, pushing me to the floor as a soft, seductive voice echoed throughout the area. The voice was filled with pride as if a Queen looking down upon a normal civilian.

“Who do you think you are to ask such a question from me?”

I was a bit annoyed by the tone of her voice, arrogant… it was super arrogant like the voices of the ones I despise the most. It sounded like those corrupt nobles from tiny towns, with greed on their minds. The ones that are willing to break the rules they set to maintain in their seats, the ones I despise the most.

“That’s supposed to be my question…” I answered before a loud laugh exploded from the area as my body flung backward without any warning, crashing towards a wall as my shoulders cracked. A pool of blood flew out from my mouth as I stared at the lady, surprised.

Her figure vanished on the spot, appearing in front of me within a nanosecond. Her heel punctured through my broken right shoulder as her face neared me, those eyes that were as if blood enlightened by the bright blue moon. It was like a predator looking at its prey. A million swords stared down at me, causing me to shiver in fear.

‘This person is not someone I should mess with…’ I told myself inside, even with my talents and skills… this person would overwhelm me without even touching me once, not just overwhelm but annihilate me in an instant.

“You aren’t qualified to ask me that question, you mere third party…!”

A deep voice that was filled with anger and resentment, bringing shivers upon my spine. It felt like if I spoke a single word, my head would vanish. I couldn’t respond back, nor did I even have a chance to… my throat wouldn’t even dare swallow saliva while being gazed upon by those deep blood eyes. Those eyes that screamed anger and envy.

I tried to keep myself calm, there was nothing at all I could do if I want to keep my life. The two of us stared at each other, eye to eye before she retracted her heel, displaying my blood on the tip as my shoulder started bleeding, anguish… torture. It felt like a parasite had intruded my body, a sea of needles… it was painful.

“AAAHHHH!!!!”

My body limply fell onto the floor as the lady looked at me with her jealous eyes, an immeasurable sea of jealousy and resentment surrounded her as she mumbled in her breath, “To think that my opportunity was stolen by two weaklings, what a regret…”

All of a sudden, a black-armored knight entered the room. The knight had dark black hair with pure blue eyes, unlike the white-haired lady. The knight carried the aura of a beginner that wouldn’t even compare against me yet the black sword she carried felt dangerous.

“Why…?” I mumbled, biting onto my lips, trying to hold onto this tiny bit of consciousness I had in myself.

My heartbeat rose taller than the mountains as my eyes looked at the lady who had her hands clenched; she was enduring as she stared back at me with deep resentment that could not be measured at all. She held herself back from flinging me once more.

“Why…. YOU ASK?!”

Her voice blasted throughout the place; her eyes widened as a burst of loud laughter escaped her mouth. It was a laughter that was identical to a maniac. The anger, jealousy, resentment she had in herself exploded like a tsunami, filling the entire place with a thick red fog as she continued laughing.

“It’s because I am jealous, of course!”

All of a sudden, my body levitated up in the air like a stick. The thick red fog formed an arm that grasped my neck tight as she took a step forward and looked at me straight into the eye, “I am jealous of not only you… but that pink-haired person as well!”

“The two of you had occupied the spot I always dreamt of in the past… the spot that I wanted… the spot that I fought for years and years… THE TWO OF YOU TOOK WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MINE!” she screamed into my ear.

All of a sudden, a red sword appeared on her hand as she swung it towards my direction, creating a magnificent glossy slash that stopped before my neck as she took another step forward, a single teardrop fell from her eye… a teardrop of someone who never had her wish fulfilled.

“I… I tried so hard in the past…! Yet, she never glanced at me once… I stood by her for years, assisted her in her darkest times, helped her fulfill her dream… yet she never glanced at me then all of a sudden, these two appeared and took her in a month… HAHAHAHAHA!”

Her voice sounded sad as she flicked the blade of her red sword, creating a loud metallic sound as it vanished before she turned around, closing her eyes as more tears fell from her eyes. It was a surprise to me… I was more than prepared to go out of existence.

“Go heal her… I don’t want Ayumi to hate me with this…” she said which took me even more surprised as the person she was mentioning all along was Ayumi… to think that Ayumi had someone who was this strong makes me even more curious.

There is also this window that showed my surrounding on my top left corner, it makes me curious about who Ayumi really is but at the same time, I know she will tell me in due time… I know because my heart can tell, confidently.

After turning around, the black-haired lady approached me with her finger pointed towards my direction as pure streams of white mana made their way towards me, touching my hand as a warm and gentle sensation covered my body. The pain vanished like it was a dream as the black-haired lady nodded before leaving as the white-haired lady sighed.

“Hey…” the lady said with a shyer voice as she looked at me with a different look. Her eyes were filled with regret and nostalgia, almost like she was looking into her own past which felt strange.

“What…?” I answered softly before she shook her head as a heavy sigh left her mouth before she gestured the black-haired lady to leave who soon followed her orders before she looked at me once more as she requested.

“Can you tell me more about Ayu-chi…?” she asked in a soft voice, her eyes stared into mine as her otherworldly beauty intensified. Her face was brightened by the light of the moon as her eyes gradually turned blue…
