Dawn broke and the morning sunlight shone into the room.
Austin woke up with a haggard look. He was not able to get much sleep because Laura kept hugging him in different positions after hearing what she had treated as Austin's confession, a term she discovered from eavesdropping on the conversations of the maids in the Palace.
Trying to sit up, Austin moved Laura's leg dangling across his waist. Feeling her calf, he again appreciated the softness of her snow-white skin. Laura's arm that was pinning him down by the neck reacted to her sudden change in posture, reflexively flinging to the opposite side. She went from hugging him on her side to falling onto her back with arms and legs spread, mumbling inaudibly with a happy smile on her face.
Knowing how lazy she was, Austin did not expect her to be woken up without a fuss. "Sweet dreams." He affectionately smiled at the lovable young girl, patting her across the cheek and covering her up with the blanket before leaving the room.
Wandering through the quiet residence, Austin met a few maids who were up early to prepare for their daily tasks. They all respectively greeted him, knowing Austin held a special status in the Queen's heart and was the closest person to the Royal Princess.
Greeting all of the maids back with a smile, Austin was in a happy mood after getting the whole day to himself.
Retrieving back his freedom for the first time in seven years, he wanted to run with the wind and shout to the sky.
He made his way towards the library as fast as those little legs could take him, avoiding the paths where he might encounter Elizabeth or his Mother, knowing the both of them would stop him for something or the rather.
Standing outside the entrance, Austin ignored the hunger he felt having missed out on lunch and dinner the day before and ran into the Royal Library.
Remembering the books he noted from yesterday, Austin's photographic memory enabled him to easily locate their precise positions. He carried a collection in hand and went to sit down by the stool he had placed down yesterday. No one else had come by since then.
He picked up the first book and relaxed into a comfortable posture.

Separated by the sea, one must travel across the boundless ocean to reach another continent.
'Powers of the World'
Each region is made up of hundreds of Nations.
The Royal Nations dominate over their respective regions and act as the four pillars of the world.
They are the Nessetia Family in the North, the Ferrim Family in the East, the Rokkudon Family in the South, and the Krashal Family in the West.
Below these four, the other Nations are divided in rank based on how far they're situated from the Royal Nation, who sit at the innermost edge within their Region, where the density of mana is the highest.
Rank 1 Nations hold the greatest authority and are closest to their Royal Nation, whilst Rank 5 Nations are located near the perimeter of the World - furthest away from the Central Region.
Nations battle each other for a higher rank, fighting for a closer position to the Central Region, causing never-ending wars among humankind since time memorial.
The Central Region is not controlled by a singular power, being home to mythical creatures not belonging to the human race.
Encircled by the Grand Sea, the number of humans throughout history who have had the ability to reach the Central Region can be counted on one hand.
All of whom were Peak Diamond Class Mages.
In the end, only one managed to journey back but was gravely injured. On the brink of death, he perished the next day.
