[Rating Game Field]
"Let's get the ball before anything else, I suppose" Sona muttered and black leathery bat-like wings appeared behind her back and moments later, she was in the sky. Obviously, the rest of Sona's Peerage followed their King's example and started to fly in the sky, all of them searching for the Golden Ball.
Diodora Astaroth also decided to use the same strategy when one of his Knights noticed several miniature creatures in the sky. Diodora obviously connected the dots. Fortunately, for Diodora his side was the first ones who found the Golden Ball. So, the Ball came into their possession and they immediately started to search for the Golden Hoop.
It took them a couple of minutes to find the Hoop, and it was Diodora who decided to score so that he could get a 10 Points lead in the Game.
"Diodora Astaroth has earned 10 Points for his team!" Grayfia announced in a somewhat cheerful manner. Since she was Lady Hela's dutiful maid, she obviously wanted Sona to win. After all, Lady Hela had invested a lot of her time and effort to nurture Sona and her Peerage.
"Keep looking for the Ball, only a couple of minutes has passed since the Game has started" Tsubaki barked out when she noticed that new members of the Peerage became slightly frantic after hearing the announcement.
The new members could only nod their heads with determined looks on their faces as they didn't want to disappoint their King and Queen. They noticed how the older members of the Peerage weren't bothered by the announcement in the least, so they also decided to give their best. At least, this is just the beginning and they still had a lot of time to return the favour.
"I found the Ball!" Reya Kusaka's voice was heard through the Communication Circle and Sona couldn't stop herself from grinning.
"Put a Summoning Spell on it and pass it over to Tsubasa. The first blow needs to be devastating" Sona smirked viciously and pushed up her specs.
After a few seconds, a huge gust of wind was released when Reya passed the ball over to Tsubasa. None of the members of Diodora's Peerage noticed it, since they were way too far from Sona and her Peerage members.
Tsubasa was a Rook, so she easily caught the Ball without any problems even though Reya had used a lot of power to throw the ball.
The blue-haired Rook grinned and her gaze focused on one of the Peerage members of Diodora Astaroth, the member was a little bit far from the rest of the group, so she was going to be the easiest target. Unfortunately, Tsubasa couldn't recognize what type of Piece that girl was, not that it mattered in the end.
Tsubasa started to use her raw Devil Energy to charge the Ball. When she was satisfied with the Power she had put into the Ball, she shifted her position and she pulled her arm back. Throughout this whole time, Tsubasa's eyes were fixated on her target. Moments later, Tsubasa threw the ball, creating a sonic boom.
Before anybody could react, the Ball slammed into the girl's chest and she dropped from the sky, unmoving. Tsubasa wasn't worried about accidentally killing, it wasn't her fault that their opponents were too weak to withstand their attacks. Additionally, the Ball was quite soft, unlike the real Basketball or Dodgeball.
Finally, Diodora realized what happened and he became furious. For the first time, his mask of the polite young master cracked in front of the others. "They are using Magic to summon the Ball!" Diodora froze mid-air when he received a message from one of his Pawns.
"That's cheating!! Why isn't anyone being disqualified??!" Diodora shrieked looking towards the sky. His action might seem to be stupid, but in reality, it wasn't as moments later he received his answer.
"No rules have been broken. No Magic was used in the attack, one pure and raw Devil Energy was used and there are no rules against using Summoning Magic on the Golden Ball" Grayfia clarified. Her voice rang throughout the arena and the whole arena was drowned by the cheers erupting from the spectator stand of the Devil Faction.
The name of the Rating Game was revealed, they were seriously disappointed since they knew that they weren't going to get any real action. Usually, whenever a Rampage Ball Game was played, all the participants simply ran around trying to get the Golden Ball and after getting the Ball in their possession, they would simply try to shove the Ball through the Hoop after locating it.
And the whole thing kept repeating until the timer ran out. It was simply boring when compared to the standards of the other variants of the Rating Game. For the first, they were watching something new and they were glad that they were going to see some action.
No matter what anyone says, Rating Games were designed to be a more civilized form of blood sports. So, Devils were always disappointed whenever this Game came up. But Sona Sitri has given a completely new meaning to the Rampage Ball Game and there was no way that the Devils were going to live this down.
This time the Ball landed on Momo Hanakai's hands. She tossed the ball over to Genshirou Saji. Rampage Ball Game is a Game of Speed and Tenacity. Anybody can push themself for a short period of time, but there were no breaks in between the Game. So, all the players had to use their Energy carefully or they would end up becoming completely useless.
Tsubasa wasn't tired or anything, but Sona didn't want to give away the true limit of her Peerage Members, so she decided to do a bit of rotation. "Promotion! Rook!" Genshirou Saji exclaimed and started to charge the Ball with pure and raw Devil Energy.
Just like Tsubasa, Saji shifted his form and pulled back his arm. Saji threw the Ball towards the next target, creating a sonic boom. Saji's aim was a bit off, but it wasn't going to be a problem, since the target won't be moving again for the rest of the Game. Diodora Astaroth could only grit his teeth as his Peerage members started to drop like flies…

"That is really ingenious. Why has nobody thought of trying to use this strategy in a Rampage Ball Game until now?" Zeoticus Gremory asked with a thoughtful look on his face. To be honest, it wasn't just Zeoticus, most of the Devils inside the room were completely bewildered by the display Sona Sitri and Peerage were putting on.
Wendell Sitri and Eilene Sitri were the ones who were most surprised. They knew their daughter to be a strategist. True, Sona Sitri has developed a completely new strategy to deal with the Rampage Ball Game, but they never thought their daughter to be so ruthless and vicious.
It was pretty clear that Sona Sitri and her Peerage members weren't worried over the lives of their opposing Peerage. The two of them finally understood that their daughter had changed a lot since the last time they had seen her…
"I suppose that nobody thought about the loopholes in the rules" Azazel suggested cheekily, trying to answer Zeoticus Gremory's question. Yes, Azazel's speculation was pretty stupid and simple, but sometimes something stupid and simple can be the answer to most of the problems.
Hela is an avid follower of this logic… if someone is creating problems, then kill them. Problem solved! Yachiru also used to be like that in the past, until she decided to hide her true self behind the mask of a kind and gentle Healer. Now, the gentle and kind mask was also a genuine part of her.
"Bwahaha!! That's it! There is the action I have been waiting for" Hela burst out laughing. Once again, she was assured that her choice of nurturing Sona Sitri was a good decision. The girl has become quite ruthless and vicious and in the future, she will be the perfect candidate to hold the helm of the Devil Faction.
Everyone aside from Reo's group cringed and decided not to interrupt the murderous woman. Since Reo wanted to protect Kunou's innocence, he decided to use his Powers to stop Kunou from hearing anything. Even though Hela didn't say much, her laughter was pretty scary and he didn't want to scar Kunou…
"Oh boy…" Azazel muttered with a deep frown on his face. Hela also stopped laughing and her eyes started to glow eerily in anger. She would have started to release her killing intent, but Reo had warned her through their connection not to do that.
"What do you know about this, Ajuka?" Azazel asked as he continued to stare at the Screen in front of him.
Ajuka Beelzebub shook his head with a frown. "I don't know… Lady Hela I assure you that I knew nothing of it" Ajuka said and Hela didn't even bother to give the man an answer. She continued to glare at the screen…
Everything was completely fine until Diodora Astaroth decided to use some foreign Power to create a barrier to protect himself…
