[POV Reo]
"It looks quite weak…" Hela pointed out. The Hollow finally noticed us, it howled loudly and lunged towards us. A blade appeared in Hela's hand and swung down her hand but surprisingly… her sword passed right through the Hollow's body and I had to use my Space Powers to stop the Hollow.
'This is why I wanted to test my powers on these things… Even if they look completely solid, they are still souls' I send the message telepathically into Hela's mind using our connection.
'Looks like my weapon is going to be quite useless' Hela said with a sad look on her face and dispersed her sword. Then she pulled out the Crucible.
'No... Don't use that thing. That's a one-hit kill weapon' I said and Hela looked disappointed but she listened to my words and returned the Crucible into her shadow. Hela's True Sword appeared in her hand and she poked the Hollow with it and this time the Hollow did receive some damage.
'Looks like my True Sword can harm souls…' Hela said and kept poking the Hollow with her sword.
Now that I think of it both Hela and I obviously have Reiatsu but I don't know how much Reiryoku we have. It's obvious that we have Reiryoku or we won't be able to see a Hollow. I raised up an arm and a metal sword appeared in my hand… I simply Conjured a metal sword.
I swung down the sword and unsurprisingly my sword passed right through its body. I was already expecting it. 'Hela, can you stop poking it… I want to conduct some tests' I said and Hela jumped back.
I had Minor Divinity of Souls so I decided to use it… I told the Hollow to stop struggling and it did stop struggling… through my Mind Powers I knew that I wasn't controlling its mind but its body was under my absolute control.
"Hmm…" I hummed and used my Space Powers to cut off a hand but the hand was still following the body's commands. I rubbed my chin with a thoughtful look on my face… this seems to be like the Horcrux… I am simply splitting its soul but it isn't affecting it.
So after that, I started to split smaller parts… when I finally cut off a nail-sized part, it dispersed. Hmm… so such a small part can't exist separately from the main soul.
'It's already healing… This World's extremely high level of spiritual energy is helping the Hollow to heal itself' Hela's voice rang inside my head. I had also noticed the regeneration process… it was extremely slow but it was there, the Soul of the Hollow was healing!
Then, I decided to use my Reality Powers… a few minutes passed but I was still unable to do anything. I was actually trying to get around an Omniversal Law. The law which stopped physical beings from interacting with Souls… but no matter how much I tried I couldn't get around the Omniversal Law.
(A/N: Now, this is not a nerf, I have already mentioned this thing when Reo absorbed the Reality Stone. Even with Reality Powers, there are some laws he can't bend or change and I have mentioned exactly this thing there).
So, I gave up on my Reality Powers so I couldn't get around the Omniversal Law. So, next was my Time Powers… I started to use my Time Powers on the separated hand… the hand started to age rapidly and disintegrated… that was something about 5000 years… impressive for a weak Hollow.
I started to Mind Powers on the Hollow… mental manipulation was severely limited. Even my telekinesis seemed to be ineffective on Souls. If it's ineffective on Hollows then it would be ineffective on Shinigamis.
My Soul Powers didn't give me the ability to kill souls. (A/N: Also mentioned in Marvel Arc). The Hollow had blood inside his body but my Magnetokinesis was a physical power, not a spiritual power. Same results with my Lightning Law. So, I separated another hand from the Hollow.
"Hakai" and the hand disintegrated into nothingness. Hmm… looks like my Power of Destruction can still destroy souls… the hand part of the Hollow was completely gone, no regeneration, that part of its soul was gone.
'So… why aren't our powers working?' Hela asked curiously.
'It must be because most of our powers are related to the Physical World…' I mused and I brought another Hollow in front of us using my Space Powers. 'Hela, be a dear and try to kill it' I said and pointed Hela towards the armless Hollow…
'Happily' Hela grinned and lunged towards the armless weasel Hollow with her True Sword in her hand. The Hollow died when Hela stabbed it with her sword. Looks like breaking their masks is not necessary. With my Space Powers, I brought ourselves another Hollow.
'Hela… break its mask' I said and Hela nodded. As soon as Hela broke the mask the Hollow died. So, the mask is basically the main life source of the Hollows like told in the series. A humanly fatal injury can also kill a Hollow, even if its mask is intact, with the second Hollow she simply destroyed the life source and it died.
My eyes narrowed on the third Hollow and a black hole appeared in my hand… I could see the Hollow being dragged towards the black hole. So black holes can even affect the Souls. I quickly dispersed the blackhole.
"Their masks are their weakness…" Hela mused while eyeing the third Hollow. Since I can still Hakai them, then it means that my Fiendfyre Diabolica is also going to work… so I skipped it.
"Crucio" I said while pointing my finger towards the Hollow but nothing happened. "Avada Kedavra" a green beam shot out of my hand and it passed right through my hand. Well, I already knew that AK doesn't affect souls.
Another metal sword appeared in my hand and I swung down the sword. The sword passed through the Hollow's body and slammed on the ground cracking the ground. "I can break their masks but why can't you?" Hela asked with a confused look.
"Reiryoku… My attack didn't have any Reiryoku. Your sword is made by the Power of Death so it works but Hollow can only be killed by Reiryoku based methods…" I said and Hela tilted her head cutely in confusion.
So, I started to explain Reiatsu, Reiryoku, Reishi to her. "So, to kill them effectively we need to learn about Reiryoku and the Soul arts?" Hela asked and I simply shrugged.
"You can still use your True Sword and your Crucible to kill them… they are working" I said and Hela pulled out her Crucible and made a scratch on the third Hollow's hand and it died.
"Looks like u got one up on you!!" Hela teased me and I grinned at her.
"Death has the Major Divinity over Soul and your power comes from her…" I said with a smug grin and dark lines appeared on Hela's face.
"So… how are we going to learn things about Reiryoku and these Soul arts? I can kill them but learning how to kill people never gets old" Hela asked with a smile on her face and I simply rolled my eyes.
"Let's go back to Knox… I know where they are. I will simply use my Space Powers to get them" I said and Hela stopped me pointing towards a barbecue shop… "Sure, why not?" I said with a shrug and took her to the barbecue shop…
[Urahara Shop, Karakura Town]
"Did you sense that?" a black cat spoke out in a manly tone but the man sitting behind the table wasn't surprised. He simply opened his hand fan and covered the bottom half of his face.
"Yes, Yuroichi-chan, but I can't even comprehend what kind of beings were responsible for that" Kisuke Urahara said with a neutral look on his face.
"Do you think that it's a new kind of Hollow?" the cat asked and Urahara simply frowned.
"I don't know… I was able to sense those energy spikes but I have no idea who was responsible for it" Urahara said while shaking his head.
"Do you think he is responsible?" the cat asked and Urahara shrugged.
"Possibly… but I can't say for sure at this moment. I am going to meet Isshin… I must warn him" Urahara said and got up from the floor. "You can go on your everyday stroll and see if you could find anything" Urahara said and the Yuroichi the cat jumped out of the window.
Urahara looked towards the sky and simply sighed. He didn't know what happened but he knew that the signs weren't good…
The disturbances weren't the real problem… the problem was he was unable to comprehend the type of energy and he wasn't able to locate the origin of energy no matter how much he tried.
They already have Aizen to worry about and this new problem popped out of the blue. Yes, the things weren't looking good…
