Eldrian was certain that he would die as a tornado of black fire filled the entire surroundings. Instead, a massive wall of fire appeared before him. Blocking it by dispersing it.
The destruction destroyed half the city in an instant. Not even the magic towers could withstand the flames, turning to ash the same as wood.
Eldrian's mind went blank, watching the map his mind failed to comprehend what had just happened. Over a hundred thousand people... Had died in a second.
'No... Not, not again...' Eldrian fell to his knees, suddenly remembering Ceph, his heart stopped as he feared Ceph had been killed too.
Looking at his map, Eldrian sighed in relief when he saw Ceph was still alive. But, why was he behind him? Turning around, Eldrian's heart froze as he saw his friend's condition. Suddenly he recalled what he had done, that the flames that had burned Ceph were his own.
'No... I can't have..."
A dwarf covered in flames landed between Eldrian and Kilen, but Eldrian had no more capacity to take in any other details. Rushing towards Ceph, he desperately tried to heal his friend. His heart broke as the memories of his rage returned.
'How hypocritical can I be?' He laughed maniacally at himself, just hours ago he had delivered a grand speech about how one should not be tempted by the inferno in their hearts. Yet, here he was. Having done just that... Again...
"Hey, boy! Run!" Amnur shouted as Kilen raised her hand again, this time summoning a mass of lighting glad in black fire. Amnur quickly summoned a massive tower shield, at the center of which was a magic crystal.
Yet, even the powers of this shield shook from her attack.
"You didn't!" Amnur shouted, the aura he was feeling from her that was visible to the naked eye, it gave even him chills.
Amnur did not get a reply in words, but the demonized corpse of Azamud clearly answered him. A grotesque massive demonic creature, filled with power at the limits, causing the body to bulge and contract randomly as the energy tried to escape.
It threw itself at the shield, the punch sending shockwaves that ripped the entire city in half.

Blocking the undead's attack, Vivian dived under its shield and used {Burst of Passion} to sever its legs from its body. Along with the legs of tens of other undead. As her target fell, she cut off its head. The flames of her sword turned it to ash as she moved on to her next target.
Yet, at this moment everyone stopped as the earth shook. Many lost their footing as the earthquake continued. This turned out to be far worse for them than for the undead, who cared little for shallow wounds and attacked from the ground.
Vivian quickly activated {Follow your heart}, having the flames of her sword cover her and burn all the undead who tried to approach her. Yet, not many others had the same luck as her to have such OP gear.
Rushing forward, she did her best to help. To try and staunch the bleeding.
Yet, in the next second all the players suddenly disappeared. Forcefully logged off for their own safety. Leaving them now far more outnumbered.
And totally fucked.

"What the hell!?" Elizabeth shouted as she tried to log back in, yet she just kept getting the same message. Saying that for their safety all players in the region of Taurus had been disconnected.
Suddenly, she recalled something Eldrian had once told her. One of the safety features regarding the strongest beings called legends. Something that he had learned while working for Miracle.
"No, please no." Jumping to her phone she quickly contacted everyone, hoping to figure out what was going on. She also quickly moved to the forums, demanding an explanation and raising hell.
She specifically hammered on why it was regarding their safety! Asking just how a game could be unsafe.

'What the hell is Eldrian doing?' Silver had sent him multiple messages asking about what was going on. She could only assume it was his doing, and recalling the stories and rumors of his fire magic she believed her assumption was correct.
They had all come out to watch the destruction happening in the city as Eldrian rampaged. The flames of destruction lit the red night sky.
Everyone was trying to understand what was going on. Everyone felt like a massive curse had been placed on the city.
Suddenly, Silver disappeared. As the centaurs were trying to understand what had happened, why Silver had disappeared, half the city was engulfed in flames.
Upam's soul nearly escaped his body as he watched the flames of hell burning the city to the ground.
"Sir, we have to run!" Bennidict shouted, doing his best to pull the deputy out of his stupor.
It was by sheer luck that Eldrian's rampage had led him near to the inner walls. As such, most of the city center had been saved the destruction. It would be more accurate to say a third or quarter of the city had been destroyed. Though the semantics mattered little; however, it saved many lives this time.
"We can't..." Upam fought the tears forming in his eyes, he knew his wife and daughter were fine. However, he had no idea of his other family or of his friends.
"We can't stay here! At least against the orcs we might stand a chance of escaping!" Bennidict shouted. Everyone froze as black lighting filled the air, they feared even more destruction.
This time, luckily the destruction was far less. Only multiple shockwaves which only destroyed the buildings close to the contact zone. Though the shockwaves did spread the flames far and wide. Nearly turning the entire city into a hell of flames.
Then, suddenly.
Half the city disappeared.

"Ceph! Come on! Fight!" Eldrian shouted, pouring all his mana into his friend. His mind too unstable to do anything other than turn it into the nature element. He couldn't even think of forming a spell.
Eldrian ignored the sounds of battle; no, the destruction of the city didn't even register in his mind. When his mana was emptied he pulled out his mana crystals and used all their mana, trying everything to save his friend.
It made no sense that his healing was doing nothing.
Though if it could even be called healing was uncertain. It was like haphazardly throwing salves at a wound, without any aim nor any technique. Luckily, it didn't make things worse.
Eldrian froze as he felt a hand clasping his shoulder. Closing his eyes, he waited for death. Instead, someone knelt next to him and placed her hand over his.
Eldrian was shocked to feel the mana he was channeling being guided. Turning into something he had never felt before. His mind immediately thought that it should be called divine.
"It's going to be alright." The female elf smiled, yet the tears forming in her eyes seemed to tell a different story. Her pure white air appeared a light reddish-gray from the reflected hellish scene.
"Zamia... I'm so sorry!" Eldrian collapsed, crying.
Embracing the crying Eldrian, she rubbed his back.
Eldrian froze as he felt his pain disappearing, he wanted to jump away. To keep the pain, to punish himself. Zamia however kept him tight in her embrace.
"It's alright. I know you didn't mean to do it." Her words caused Eldrian to freeze. His mind turned blank as he broke down.
