Chapter 101 - Revelation(s)

His words, brought her to think about it for a moment as he stared at her. Seeing her thoughtful expression, led him to smile. Even if they haven't known each other for a long time, he remembered how, from a machine without any kind of emotion, she quickly became an important guide for him.

Now thinking about how she started to assume a more 'humane' way of acting, brought a shocked expression on his face while he remembered something very embarrassing.

"...I know that you are still thinking about my question, but there's something I want to ask. You said it was your mother who gave you this form, but I was the one to ask..."

Thinking about it, made Ethan stop to talk as the image of him asking a machine to behave as a cute girl continued to repeat in his mind. While he was embarrassed, Light went in front of him as she stared at his c.h.e.s.t before placing a hand on it as they were close enough that he could smell the natural perfume that emitted from her body.

Thinking this, he sighed as he decided to put his embarrassment aside for a moment. This because, he was doubtful about her actions.

'What is she doing..?'

Inevitably asking this question to himself, brought her to raise her head to look at his face while he understood that they were way too close, but, after a few seconds, Light removed her hand from his c.h.e.s.t as she added

"Your body is based on the technique of infinite regeneration, the same that leads the Gods to be immortal but, in your case, you won't achieve such a thing..yet."

Saying this, she interrupted her speech as she brought her hands on his face. Surprised, he wanted to say something but, he could see that her expression was really serious.

'I don't get why she has to do this, but I think that's quite important considering how seriously she's making me look at her..'

Even though he thought so, she didn't add anything as he couldn't help but repressing his thoughts. This because, the fact he had such a beautiful girl so close to him, wasn't easy to manage as in all his life, his interactions with girls happened only a few times in his previous world, as well as in the Danmachi world.

While he was deep in thought, Light smiled as she added

"Okay, It seems your Domain will be fine..now we can return to what we were saying"

Her words, brought him to think about it as he replied

"So.. you can check my own Domain if you stare in my eyes?"

Nodding, she added

"I would still have to give you a quest to help you contain your power, but, now that I have access to this space thanks to pure randomness, it can be said that it went even better than expected. His words, brought her to open her mouth before closing it as she didn't even think about this possibility. The fact she could finally have a proper conversation with him, brought her to start telling him every single detail she had to add but, she understood that he was right. Closing her eyes, she replied with a smile

"Sorry, I had the opportunity to talk with you for real, so I thought I might start telling you everything important that I had in my mind. It's true that from now on I will be able to enter your Domain, and I think I can remain here even after you will be gone, but don't worry. From your perspective, nothing will change. I will be able to make you interact with the system itself without a problem."

Seeing her smiling as she was only thinking about his 'problems', made Ethan look down as he decided that, instead of expressing his feelings with words, it was better to explain with thoughts.

'..You aren't thinking about yourself at all. I understood from a while that you aren't a machine, and that you have feelings. Hearing his thoughts, her eyes widened in surprise as she tried to say something before Ethan added

'We share the same soul, so, I want you to feel as if this Domain is our home, not just mine'

At his words, she couldn't help but sigh as she had various thoughts in her mind...

"From my mother's memories..I actually never understood what a 'home' is. My mother lived her whole life in a mess, and she shared her memories to let me be wise enough to help you. The only thing I understood from watching humans, is that a home is the place where you live.."

"No, that's not what a home is. Humans call a home as one because that place is special to them, because it's the place they know they can return to. May it be an actual house, a place, or whenever the person they love is... So, this Domain is something similar to my home, right?"

At his words, she nodded almost instinctively as she was about to say something, but Ethan was faster.

"Then...since it is also your home, let's build something, like a house. It will give you more easily the idea of home"

"You want to create a house..here? Are you stupid?"

Staring at her, he added

His words, made her look away as she didn't understand why he was caring so much about her, but, in the end, she decided to just let him do whatever he wanted to as the Domain was his own.

"Wait, but when will I wake up in the real world? I wouldn't like to make others worry..."

While she was creating a few bricks, she replied to his question without hesitation.
