Chapter 113 - Idea

Even though the situation quickly evolved for the Loki familia, the situation was different for Hestia and Hephaestus.

"I understand..that's how the situation went.."

Thinking about it for a moment, Hephaestus couldn't help but sigh as she decided to trust Hestia's judgment, but..

"But, I still want to meet him. Your explanation made me wonder what kind of person he is.."

Her words, brought Hestia to nod proudly before deciding it was better to return to Lili.

"It's already morning, I don't want to leave Lili alone for too much. Even if I know she isn't troubled by this, I can't help but worry about my single familia member.."

Knowing that Ethan, the only person who would protect Lili, was in the Dungeon, made her feeling a strange sensation in her c.h.e.s.t. This because, she knew that the latter was nowhere ready to face treats alone.

Her words, made Hephaestus nod in agreement while the two exited her home.

"I see, then it can't be helped. Let's see each other again, Hestia.."

Saying so, the two were about to part ways before they saw a person running quickly to the place where Hephaestus' house was located. This led the latter to tilt her head in confusion while the two could now see that the man stopped to run as he tried to make his breathing return to normal.

Seeing his Goddess, the man immediately added

"Hephaestus-sama! There are important news regarding the expedition I absolutely have to.."

Even though he was about to say everything he had in his mind, he saw that another Goddess was there as the man wanted to change his speech to add that they had to talk in private, but, Hephaestus was faster.

Shaking her head, she added

"It's fine, continue to report. Did something happen to make you run all the way?"

These words, made the man immediately nod as he replied

"Yes, things happened in the Dungeon, and, several members of the Loki Familia were injured. We even found a clue regarding the latter's strange actions. It seems that the strongest monster who spawned, wanted only the new core member of the Loki Familia..."

His words, made Hestia's eyes immediately widen while she tried to maintain her composure, but Hephaestus immediately understood what she was thinking about as she decided to directly ask

"Then? What is the condition of this person?"

Being asked this question, the man immediately replied

"From what they told us, it seems that this person reached the [Mind Zero] state after exhausting his mana"

"...I see. By the way, You'll finish informing me in a few moments. For now, wait for me in the house"

Saying so, she pointed at the door she opened seconds ago while the man just nodded his head before entering. Even though he was doubtful about the actual relationship between the two Goddesses as the latter didn't know the bond between Hestia and Hephaestus, he decided to not think about it as it wasn't important for him, right now.

Now, with some time alone, Hephaestus clearly understood that Hestia was worried as she decided to help her out, somehow.

"..I can guess how much you care about him, but, I advise you to not rush things, or you will find yourself in a position where you will be just a heavy weight for him.."

Thinking about her words for a moment, she knew that her friend was right.

'If I think deeply about it, Ethan always helped me out since the start...'

These thoughts, led an idea to form in her mind as she nodded while her smile didn't fade from her face.

"Yes..I will try to do so..."

Nodding as well, Hephaestus could see that her expression was clearly saying that she had a formidable idea, but, she decided to let her go for herself as she had to return her focus on the man that was waiting for her.

'...I just hope that she took my advice to heart...'

That was all she thought before closing the door behind herself as Hestia was already heading towards the Abandoned Church.

'I have to inform Lili as well..she has the right to know, this time. After that, we'll go together to check on Ethan...'

Thinking about this, she decided to hurry as, she was quite curious about what really happened, other than what happened to Ethan..

After nearly two hours, Hestia entered the Abandoned Church while adding

"Lili...! Are you awake?"

The fact she didn't receive a reply, made Hestia understand that she was still asleep before she decided to go to wake her up.

"Lili!! It's important. You can't sleep all day..!"

Shouting these words, Hestia opened her room as she could see that Lili was on it. Calling her name again, she still didn't give her a reply as the former furrowed her brows.

'If you won't wake up with this..I'm forced to..'

The fact Lili wasn't waking up, was due to the fact that after being rescued by Ethan, she was no longer woken up in the morning and, although she was forced to wake up very early, all her little body could do was try to recover the sleep she had lost in recent years.

Bringing her hands on her h.i.p.s, Hestia began to tickle her as she immediately woke up while laughing.

"S..Stoopp"

With her tail twitching, she immediately went away from her as she had a scared expression on her face for a moment while Hestia was speechless.

"I..I wanted to wake you up"

These words, made Lili nod slowly as she raised from the floor before starting to clean herself.

"Next time..try to call for me!"

Her words, brought Hestia's mouth to open as she immediately replied

"I called for you at least 10 times! You didn't hear me even once!!"

At this new information, Lili replied with an 'Ah' while Hestia knew they didn't have the time to make jokes. Closing her eyes, she inhaled and exhaled a few times before adding

"...By the way, Lili, I have something important to tell you.."

Even though she wanted to reply with another 'ah', Lili understood the situation was serious as she saw the look she had in her eyes...

After her explanation, she furrowed her brows while adding

"I am happy that you decided to return here first as I know this as well now, but don't we have to go to check on him!?"

The fact she was angry for this, made her smile before she shook her head

"Yes, we surely have to go to check on him. But, before we go, I have another important thing to tell you. And that's regarding our behaviour in his regards. A friend of mine, made me understand that we can't continue to rely on him for everything, or we will just become a heavy weight on his shoulders..."

Starting to tell her what she had in mind, Lili thought about it as she decided to 'become part of the plan' of her own goddess.

"...We will have time to define the details, but, for now, it's better if we hurry.."

Nodding, the two changed their clothes before exiting the Abandoned Church...

While Hestia and Lili were going to the Twilight Manor, the 'news' regarding the few injured members spread like wildfire, but, the part that brought Ethan as the 'main clue' to find out what was happening to the Dungeon, didn't escape from anyone as they knew that, the first ones who released information of this degree regarding the Loki Familia, would probably be targeted by Loki herself, and this was something that only a familia like Freya's or Hephaestus' could afford to endure.

"You saw the news!? Members of the Loki Familia were injured during the expedition!"

"Then, it must be true that the Dungeon would be inaccessible for us.. still for long!?"

With this kind of thing being talked about like this, it was only obvious that such an information would quickly arrive to Ganesha's ears.

Even though they didn't know if Ethan was involved among the wounded, the latter was still doubtful about it.

"Shakti..is it fine if I send a messenger to the Loki Familia?"

Being asked this question, Shakti frowned as she wanted to know what his God was planning this time around, but, she could see that he was in one of his 'serious' moments. Looking at the doc.u.ments she still had to finish for today, she replied

"Well, it depends on what you want the messenger to say to Loki-sama. I believe we can establish good relations with them. Thus, the act of sending a messenger may be--"

Before she was able to continue, Ganesha shook his head while adding

"You didn't understand. I want you to go to check on the Loki Familia personally"

With another frown, she returned her focus on the doc.u.ments to finish as she added

"...And why should I be the one to go..?"

At her question, he immediately replied

"Because I want to show Loki that I want to establish a good relationship with her, and there isn't a better option than to send you...right?"

His words, brought her to sigh as she wanted to say that she was busy, but, she knew that it was indeed as he said.

"...Fine."

Hearing her confirming that she would go herself, brought a smile on Ganesha's face as he thought about it.

"I see that you are finally being honest with yourse--"

Before he was able to finish his words, Shakti immediately clarified

"I'm not going for what you are thinking about. It's just that your words made sense, so, I decided to follow them. If you try to finish what you were saying, I'll punch you.."

These words, brought him to raise his hands in surrender while adding

"You are as violent as always..that's why you..."

Seeing that she was ready to punch him, Ganesha shook his head as he decided to not finish his words as he decided to just be satisfied with the fact she would go to 'check' on the Loki Familia.
