Chapter 157 - Exploration

After translating everything, Ethan left Maple on the bed and, taking with him more of the new papers he had for copying, he took them to the small desk at the end of the room

Once seated and ready, Ethan began to accurately copy the text and, having now read it all, he could only reflect on the words as he copied them.

'From what it's said.. Maple should have relived the events of the "earthquake" with the difference that in the dream she had managed to see people of her kin die...'

Ethan, on second thought, could only look behind him and, noticing Maple was relaxing on the bed as if she didn't know what she said could've shocked him or not, he could only wonder

The content of the 400 words Maple had written was indeed very detailed, but he now knew he couldn't access other information anymore, even if he wanted to. Before going directly to the room Ethan was most interested in, however, he decided to actually do a general tour of the house, which made him understand things he had previously ignored.

Ethan found out the house was equipped with a bathroom, without the presence of a shower or an area to wash, which in fact were separated from the bathroom, and they both had a separate area. In fact, in the first floor, Ethan had found an area with a shower, while to the right of the entrance, at the end of the house, there was a real bathroom area, very similar to that adopted by Loki Familia, only a little smaller.

But instead of having a single, large area so that everyone had a general space to wash in, here Ethan had two sub-areas, consisting of an area where he could wash himself, and one where the area to wash was larger, so that it wasn't necessary to always use a large amount of water even if the person washing was alone.

Ethan was grateful to Loki for organizing the house this way, also because he was convinced Lefiya wouldn't want to wash with him from the first few days, and if this was indeed the case, Ethan could use the shower instead of creating strange problems, while Ais, Lefiya and possibly even Maple would use the largest bathroom area.

In addition, Ethann was impressed by the neat and precise way in which the house was

found himself wandering in another area of the house, which would then

be the one where they would eat. This area, located not far from the

bathroom area, was equipped with a kitchen and a table not too large but

not even too small to eat together.

Located in front of the kitchen, there was also a sort of exit that made the access to the garden faster...

These were the things that particularly struck Ethan and, in addition to seeing small things as a kind of room to arrange things like a warehouse, which could very well become bedrooms if he wished, and the presence of another living room in the first floor, other than the other already present at the second floor.

With this, Ethan felt he had completely visited the house having left behind only the various bedrooms that had been indicated to him by Lefiya and Ais.

Now, the only thing Ethan lacked to see was the room where he would work, and while curiosity assailed his mind, Maple had understood what they were doing and could only remain amazed by the beauty of the house in which she would reside..

This is because being so focused between learning the arts from an early age and seeking the increase in the stability of peace that could fall at any moment given the coldness with which the other races treated humans for what they had attempted to do in the past, the development of architecture, and some other professions had slowed down over the decades, with the only strengths being those of the research of the arts, and politics, since among the youngest many had inherited the ideals of the queen, so they wanted to bring the city to the peace she had succeeded in imposing.

With Maple fantasizing about having a diary where she wrote down everything she thought was beautiful, Ethan headed to the second floor and in no time at all he was in front of the entrance to the room.

He could see an anvil with a hammer on it and a furnace, even though they were very similar, what Ethan didn't know and what a good blacksmith would have been able to notice at the first forging with these tools, the furnace and anvil here were of inferior quality to those located in the secret room.

This was obviously because Loki had decided to invest more in the secret room than in the normal work room.

In addition to this, Ethan looked around and could see in addition to the blacksmith's tools, there were shelves where he could freely lay books, or something else, But that wasn't all, because on the right-hand corner of the room, there was another desk, this one a bit larger than the one in his room and equipped with a more comfortable chair, so that Ethan could relax while he was working.

This obviously struck him a lot as he didn't expect Loki to have really thought about every detail, and he could very well find something suitable for his needs in the shop. But the thought of Loki giving special instructions for the house just for his needs, led Ethan to smile a little while looking down, as clenching his free hand in a fist, he had only one thought in mind.

'I have to prove Loki I'm worth what she gambled for, I need to show her choosing to trust me wasn't a mistake...'

This was all he thought before, with a determined expression, he headed to Lefiya's room so that he could leave Maple in her care while he had to go to the Twilight Manor to deliver the translated text to Riveria...
