Chapter 183 - Attack

With the dinner going on relatively peacefully, Ethan had been able to enjoy the dinner and, although in his mind he still had thoughts about Riveria, he knew at this time the two had no opportunity to clarify things a little, but even if that was the case, Ethan had decided he wouldn't back out, also because he couldn't deny what he had said when Riveria was trying to dissuade him from proceeding further, and the determination he had shown at that time, Ethan wanted to keep his pride and stay on what he promised in his heart. He wouldn't care what would happen, the dangers he would face, or that bonding with her would be problematic, the only thing that mattered was the feelings one felt for the other.

But in reality, it wasn't the time to get lost in thoughts, as after eating, Ethan along with the others took care of washing the dishes and cutlery so that nothing remained dirty.

'I don't think a single maid will be enough for this huge house..'

Although Loki would find a maid to take care of the house, Ethan knew perfectly well one maid would never be humanly able to not only clean the whole house but also to take care of things like preparing dinner, and also Loki wasn't stupid enough to think that, so Ethan realized that probably what Loki had in mind wasn't exactly to bring a single maid, but this was something futile at the time, since he couldn't comfortably go and ask her what she would do, since the night was fast approaching.

'I really didn't treat Loki that well...I need to become stronger...faster, fast enough to make up for my mistakes...'

Now after about 2 months since he joined the familia, Ethan knew he hadn't treated Loki in the best regards, even though she had helped him so much... He was aware that Loki was probably using him to make her familia even more powerful, but even though that was the case, Ethan couldn't help but let that 'truth' dissolve. He realized that even though he was being used, the situation was much better than what he had been through in his previous life. Loki would never admit it and probably didn't even think so, but Ethan wanted to believe she actually came to see him as a genuine member of her familia to protect.

That was his determination, but as these thoughts made their way into his mind, the group finished setting up the table where until recently an interesting discussion about the Dungeon had taken place, because more than anything, Hestia was curious as to why Riveria and Tiona didn't participate in the expedition, which was then clarified by Riveria's explanation as the expedition was only to confirm whether the Dungeon was to be considered 'safe' again, after a whole week of observation from the guild, so it didn't require the presence of all the core members in the familia..

"I..It's time.."

Hearing these words to his right, Ethan returned to reality. At the moment, he was standing in front of her door with Lefiya, this because after finishing the cleaning, Lili felt quite tired, but besides her, the thing was shared a little by everyone, even by Riveria, so it was ultimately decided to go to sleep and, after escorting Riveria and Tiona to their respective guest room, Lefiya had returned to Ethan who, in the meantime, had waited for her.

"..Indeed"

He could have asked her for the last time if she was sure of her choice, and he really would have wanted to do so, but the resolution she had in her eyes, although her hands were hesitant and her feet seemed to have become heavier, led Ethan to avoid making her anxiety worse, but he accepted her determination to sleep together, also because he felt if she wasn't with him either, he would feel... lonely. Although he wouldn't openly tell Lefiya to influence her decision, Ethan was really thankful that she made up her mind..

Entering his room, Ethan would have wanted to take off his shirt, so that he could use his [Boost Magic] to increase the temperature of his body, and then let it quickly influence even the blankets to keep Lefiya warm, but he was undecided if the action would actually worsen her embarrassment.

"P..Please, can you wait out of the room, I need to change..."

Back in the room, Ethan...had a dumbfounded expression on his face. This expression was justified by what Lefiya was wearing, in fact the latter hadn't opted for the pyjamas that Ethan had given, but rather had opted for one of the normal pyjamas he had before, with the difference that the buttons on the top were partly not buttoned, leaving wide vision to Ethan of her 'n.a.k.e.d' skin, covered in part by her bra...

Obviously, this wasn't an idea Lefiya had come up with, but rather to Tiona. During the time Ethan used to train in fact, Lefiya had had time to have a chat with Tiona and, opening up about her uncertainty in the relationship with Ethan, the two of them quickly got to talking about what she was supposed to do once they were both in bed, alone.

"Men are easy to please, Lefiya! You just have to use your charms as a woman and I can guarantee things will go to the right direction!"

Smirking as if to confirm her words, Tiona confidently said word after word to Lefiya while the latter, hearing her, could only embarrassedly look down while she intertwined her trembling fingers...

"U-Using my c-charms as a woman..I-I don't think I... have what it takes..."

This was the answer that Lefiya had given to the Tiona's words but, at her reply, Tiona shook her head.

"That's not true. Lefiya, you are a woman as charming as me, or Ais, but the difference lays in how you use your charm to conquer the heart of the person you love....For example, I think you can use your charm to give him a surprise attack, that will likely have good results..."

It was interesting to notice that from Tiona's explanation, using her own charm would be enough to make Ethan's heart beat faster, and although as she had specified there was no real action to show her own charm, Tiona had advised in her case to do one thing in particular, having already been well-informed of what was happening in their relationship.

"You have to strike first. My suggestion is to wait for a night where you two will sleep alone, and after you make him exit the room waiting for you to get changed, you'll dress with a rather normal pajama, but you'll leave some buttons open. It's up to you choosing how many, as long as they are enough to show part of your body. No matter if you are embarrassed, it will have a big impact on Ethan, accustomed to seeing you in pyjamas that always cover your entire body...."

Tiona's plan, however, was far too sophisticated for Lefiya who, at that precise moment, had absolutely no confidence to be able to stay focused on what was happening while she had practically her body in plain sight..

"I..understand it will b-benefit the moment..but showing skin is a bit..."

As the elf she was, showing skin, even to the man he loved, was something rather shameful. She in fact believed even if she felt no embarrassment to this kind of things, they wouldn't do 'that' at least until marriage...

But seeing her hesitation even in showing some skin, Tiona sighed before deciding to tell her what she thought.

"Honestly you're thinking too much about it. From my point of view he already loves you a lot, since deciding to purposely wait for someone until 'they are ready' is a comfort rarely seen, but other than that, you really think you will be able to act shy forever? I think even if he loves you dearly, that feeling will slowly die as he will then think 'If she loves me back, then why she's still embarrassed after this much time..', obviously it depends on how much time you plan to make him wait, but if I was you, I would hurry.."

At these words, Lefiya narrowed her eyes as she knew what she said was the truth, but even if that was the case, she remembered the seriousness of Ethan's words...

"I believe...even i-if I would make him wait..he would still wait for me...since he promised to do so..."

Listening once again to her justifying her behaviour, Tiona sighed adding a "Well, whatever" as she felt her mental strength quite drained...

'I never thought..that advice would actually be used by me...it's all thanks to Tiona if Ethan...'

Looking at his shocked expression, with his cheeks red probably from embarrassment, Lefiya looked at the floor embarrassingly as she added

"I-If you stare at me too much... things will be more d-difficult for me..."

These same words, however, were betrayed by her face which, instead, had a rather evident smile as her thoughts were only obvious.

'He's staring..he's intently staring at me..I'm so happy..'

In his own words, Ethan blinked and shaking his head, he nodded as he closed the door behind him.

"I'm sorry, I was hooked by your...appearance"

As if butterflies invaded her stomach, Lefiya could feel her hands shaking and, although all this was very embarrassing, she could feel that his words had made her so happy she hardly believed all this was derived from a single appreciation from him, which made her realize at the same time that her love for Ethan was, though she didn't even notice, growing exponentially.

"I-I see...well we are in a relationship..so you..can stare..."

Saying these words in a rather embarrassing way, Lefiya had her hands crossed and, nervously moving them trying to relieve some stress, she continued to dwell on the fact now that she was putting herself at stake she couldn't stop for any reason in the world while Ethan, swallowing a great deal of nervousness, nodded as he decided to not respond with words, but in his mind, he was continuing to appreciate how much Lefiya was struggling for him, which even he wouldn't have ever expected..

'Ah...she's so cute I can't think of anything else...'

With this in mind, Ethan laid down on the bed and, taking off his shirt, added

"...I'll warm up the bed.."

'This is for that surprise attack'

Seeing Lefiya's expression relatively not much embarrassed than before, Ethan was surprised, but he didn't realize during the time they had slept together, Lefiya had already squared every corner of his upper body, so even though it was embarrassing and had the effect of making her heart pound loudly, Lefiya wouldn't get too upset even though she decided to go shirtless...

"W-Well..then I'll enter the bed too, please take care of me.."

That was all she said before laying down next to Ethan...
