Iwant us to be happy together. l will wait here to see if you will ever be able to face the truth.
the night soon passed and day came again.
An kai had planned to take Roline to one of Chendigwa province orphanages.
Godly People Orphanage, was a place that took care of children that had no guardians. children were more ofyounger aged below 11 years. it was facilitated by local people who had some spare money.
An kai had bought so many things for the kids to play. he also packed all his childhood toys and gave them to the kids.
the weather was a bit sunny, Roline wore a hat, a white loose t-shirt and a pair of jeans.
she didn't know how to interact with kids so she decided to follow An kai as he taught the kids to arrange the toy bricks he had bought.
he was very comfortable as he sat on the ground with the smiling kids.
"uncle, why is it that my bricks don't look as nice as yours? one of the kids pouted.
"arranging bricks is super boring. let aunt play with us for awhile. a little girl said looking at the quiet Roline.
Roline had woken with shyness written all-over her face. she wanted to slap herself for the silly things she had said to An kai last night. but An kai was his normal and usual self. when he woke up, he made Roline breakfast as usual and then packed his toys and all the snacks he had ordered for the kids in to his car.
it only took them half an hour to reach the orphanage. the orphanage had two grown ladies who took care of the children. An kai spoke to them first and later went to play with the kids under the big tree in the compound as they offloaded the things he brought for the kids.
Roline came following behind him and sat beside Kai.
An kai spoke with the kids. he planned to play soccer with them later when the heat dies out.
but the little girls had their attention towards Roline who had not said a word.
seeing uncle talking about soccer and bricks, the little girl decided to get aunt Roline so that they can have their own fun.
aunt, uncle is only planning boy's games. he has not brought us anything. come with us to the swing please. all the little girls turned to Roline. she didn't know what to say, she nodded her head and then stood up to follow the little ones to the swings.
An kai didn't interfere, he kept talking to the little boys ignoring the little girls' complaints.
Roline was stuck with the kids. she didn't want to disappoint them yet they were so many and noisy at the same time.
"my little angels please listen to me. I can't play with you all at once and the swings aren't enough for all of us. let me get some girly toys as you have a little bit of rest in the shades. Roline got her phone and sent for toys.
"An kai please don't stay here with the boys alone, let's join the kidstogether and make them play common games. it was only some few minutes but I thought I would have a heatstroke any moment... Kai are you listening to me? Roline was complaining but An kai was only able to give a light chuckle.
is there anything funny in what I have said? or you enjoy seeing me helpless in front of those innocent girls? they all think that I know so many games yet I don't. I never played when I was young. other kids always avoided me thinking I will bully them and I ended up reading books instead of playing outside. Roline said in a helpless tone. the kids were taken to have lunch but An kai ended up in to Roline's complaints.
Roline, kids don't only need to play to be happy. you can tell them stories that you read or you can even make up your own as long as it's interesting to the ear.
"do boys love hearing stories too? Roline asked with some hint of excitement in her tone.
yes, but why do you ask?
don't mind, it was just a question. she said before standing up and headed to the kids who were still eating.
"after we're done eating, uncle Kai will be telling us a story. both boys and girls should head to the big tree after here, alright?
yeeeeees!! the kids Cheered after Roline's words. some even started going outso that they can sit in the front.
An kai was seated outside on the far east of the big tree. kids started sitting in a circle making him to be in the middle.
shouldn't the girls go look for aunt Roline? Kai asked looking at the little girls who were looking at him.
"uncle, aunt said you're going to tell us a story after we eat so we're here.
yes, she said that both girls and boys should come and sit here. the little ones explained in their adorable voices. An kai smiled as he asked one of them to call aunt over.
Roline came and sat in the middle of the circle with An kai.
An kai told the little ones the story of little Angels. saying that all the stars in the sky are caretaker of the the little Angels God created.
these Angeles were kids who obeyed their elders and prayed to God who created them.
uncle, are we all Angeles? one of the kids asked.
if you all obey and pray, then you're all God's Angeles. before An kai could finish, one of the ladies working in the orphanage came for Roline.
Ms Roline, the toys you ordered are here.
"let them bring them over here. Roline answered before turning to the kids. "you're all Angeles, right?
all the kids nodded their heads at once. Angeles will pray here with the toys without fighting each other. Roline said to the kids before distributing toys among the kids to play but another truck of toys came at the same time.
An kai had sent for girly toys too without telling Roline after seeing that girls had few games to play. the compound wasfilled with all kinds of toys.
why do girls have more toys than us, uncle? one of the little boys asked.
"girls are supposed to play as boys protect them. you don't need dolls to do so, do you?
the boy shook his head meaning he doesn't need the dolls the girls were holding...
