Ling Chen nodded in response.

“You must be Ling Chen?”

He turned his head and saw a middle-aged man walking in, his face looked like it was set in stone. He seemed to be in his thirties, with a tanned face and well-defined facial contours, with sharp eyes and a sturdy, muscular frame.

Just glancing at him, Ling Chen could deduce that the identity of the man in front of him was not simple. He was not an ordinary soldier, but rather a cold-blooded elite who must have killed before.

“That’s me. You are?”

“Zhong Wei.”

“So it’s Captain Zhong. Nice to meet you.”

He had already heard from Wei Jun that the captain of the security team was called Zhong Wei.

Zhong Wei directed a contemplative stare at Ling Chen.

After Ling Chen entered, he saw that there were around eight members undergoing training in the gym. Every one of them had a thick and broad waist, giving off a feeling of strength. Compared to them, his body looked to be extremely skinny and weak.

Very quickly, his arrival attracted the attention of those training in the gym.

Back at the office, Ling Chen asked casually, “Captain Zhong, did I pass your test?”

Walking back to the gym, Ling Chen warmly greeted everyone he passed by.

However, their attitudes were extremely cold towards him. All the members here were retired military men and there was a unique camaraderie between them. With the addition of a new member, it left them feeling a little out of sorts.

Ling Chen was nonchalant towards them however. To him, integrating into the team would naturally take some time.

Noticing that Liang Zhaohui was doing pushups, he spiritedly walked up him.

“Brother, I stepped out of line just now, don’t take it to heart.”

Despite his apology, Liang Zhaohui did not even turn to look at him, seeming like he had not heard Ling Chen.
