347 Vacation to Jamaica 6

Max woke up with Liz in his arms.

He took a deep breath and appreciated the moment of him being Liz's bolster pillow and he wouldn't want it any other way.

This vacation turned out just as he hoped. And better than that.

The previous day was phenomenal. Max didn't care much about the market, but he enjoyed the way Liz's eyes lit up as she soaked in new experiences with him by her side. The new food tasted great, and their time in the bar with locals exceeded his expectations.

Max saw that Liz was looking at him with sparkles in her eyes during their game of pool with Devan and Justin and he was ecstatic that he got to impress Liz with his skills. After their heated dance, the things got super-hot in the small colorful restroom and Liz's legs were shaky for some time.

"I don't think I can walk back…", Liz half-whined when they returned to sit at their table where Justin and Devan were with their dates, and Liz was unable to suppress the goofy grin on her face.

Max smiled slyly. He knew that her legs are achy after a day of walking and standing, and Max drained the last ounce of her strength with lovemaking.

Max pulled Liz to lean on him. "That's OK. Tell me when you want to leave, and I will call us a cab."

"Eh? You are leaving?", Justin didn't hide that he overheard them. "We thought of taking you to the best dinner joint in Jamaica."

"I'm sorry, Justin… But the whole day we were walking and I'm tired.", Liz explained.

"How about tomorrow?", Devan offered. "We lost five games and bought you only three drinks. For the debt of two drinks, we will introduce you to the best food on the island."

Liz looked at Max expectantly and he gestured that he does not mind. They ended up agreeing to meet with Justin and Devan the next day (aka today) and to go together for dinner.

Max and Liz took the cab back to their vacation home on the water, and Max could not believe that Liz slept off as soon as she hit the mattress. She was exhausted.

Max removed her shoes and dress and snuggled next to her in the bed and he slept off quickly as well.

Back to the present…

Liz stirred and her eyes fluttered open.

"Good morning, beautiful…", Max greeted her with a smile.

"Good morning, handsome…", Liz responded and rubbed her face on his chest lazily.

"Are you hungry?", Max asked. Last night they slept off without dinner.

"Not yet. Can we stay like this for a bit?"

Max hummed in confirmation and kissed the top of her head.

Liz took in a deep breath and appreciated the moment of bliss.

Her head rested on Max's chest and she listened to his heartbeat.

Liz never tied herself to a man, and no matter how much she is telling herself that she is independent and that her career comes first, she can't deny that Max is very important in her life.

Liz knows that Max is eager for them to get a place of their own, together, and to advance with their relationship, but she is not sure if she is ready for that step. What if they rush into it and mess up? Liz is aware that Max will be asking about it until he gets some answers, and she is tired of dodging those questions.

"Max?"

"Hmm?"

"About us getting our place…"

Max's ears perked up and he held his breath.

"Yes?", he asked after what seemed like an endless silence.

Liz moved so that she can see his face. "You know that I love you, and I am enjoying every minute we spend together."

Max's brows furrowed. He had a feeling that what is coming is not pleasant. And her silence confirmed his assumption. "But?"

Liz spoke slowly while carefully picking her words. "I'm not rejecting the idea, however… my plans were always about my career and I'm not used to thinking about anything else. I need time to adjust my mindset and I hope that you can be patient with me. I know that it's not much, but right now I can commit to staying in Seattle until June and no matter on what living arrangements I decide after that, I have no intention of breaking up with you. In the worst case, we will have careers in different places, but I'm sure that we can make it work." Liz observed his expression, and she could not read anything. "Max? Say something…"

Max pushed a lock of Liz's hair behind her ear. "With careers in different cities, we will end up spending time in both. Wouldn't it be more convenient if we have a place to call home? We can have one in Seattle and one in New York or wherever you decide to go next."

Liz agreed that having their place will be convenient. She also realized that no matter what her decision is, they will need a home in Seattle because that is where Max is. "I didn't think about it that way."

"There is no rush, Liz. I will be patient with you.", Max assured her. "I am flexible and willing to accommodate your needs and wants. The important part is that we both want to stay together and to make our relationship work no matter what obstacles lie ahead of us. I hope that we can continue talking about this until we find something that works for both of us."

Liz thought that he is asking her about buying their home and expecting a 'yes' or 'no' answer, and she didn't consider that this is something that requires discussions until they come up with a good solution.

"You are a wise man, Mr. Anderson…", Liz said with sparkles in her eyes. "I am impressed that you are opening my mind to so many new things I never thought of so far."

Liz wanted to say something else, but her stomach grumbled, reminding her that she is hungry.

Max chuckled. "How about that breakfast?"

Liz groaned. "I need to shower first."

Max moved swiftly and Liz yelped when Max lifted her from the bed suddenly and carried her outside.

"Ahhh!", Liz screamed when they plunged into the swimming pool on the terrace. Liz didn't expect that Max will jump in the water with her in his arms.

Before she could react, Max pulled her to lean on him.

"Hmm… now you don't need to shower."

Liz shook her head in disbelief. Max is crazy. She realized that he is naked, but she still has her panties on.

"This pool water will ruin my good panties…", Liz whined.

Max could not see her expression, so he had to ask: "Are you upset?"

"No. This is fine… Life with you is not boring."

Max smiled smugly. "People called me many things, but boring was not one of them. I will fix us breakfast while you decide what are we going to do today."

Liz already had an idea. "How about that waterfall tour? The ride from the resort is provided on every thirty minutes and it includes a short hike and great views. We can take our swimsuits and take a dip under the waterfalls."

Max approved. "The shuttle makes a roundtrip every half an hour, so we can head out whenever we are ready. Only one thing is pending… what do you want for breakfast?"

Liz moved to face Max and wrapped her legs around his waist. She pressed her core against his erection and responded: "Sausage."

Her playful expression told him that the sausage she wants is the one that is hard and ready for her.

Max hummed in approval and grabbed her panties on each side.

Liz looked helplessly at the piece of delicate fabric that floated on the surface of the pool. That used to be her panties.

"You said that you don't mind if they are ruined…", Max reminded Liz.

"I don't... but you need to make up for my loss."

"I will make sure you are fully satisfied...", Max spoke against her lips before sealing them with his.
