32 Second Brother 3

Her lips tilted up as she approached him slowly.

As if sensing her presence, the man opened up his eyes. The corner of his lips tilted up.

"Second brother! What are you doing here?" Mingyue asked.

"I come to see you." Jiang Xiao Tian said.

"Something wrong?"

Xiao Tian chuckled at her question. "Can I only look for my sister when there's something wrong? We haven't seen each other for a while is this how you greet me?"

Mingyue bit her lips, and she smiled sheepishly. "I didn't mean it that way. I missed you so much, second brother!"

She studied his weary expression. After being away from home for a long time, Xiao Tian had grown thinner. Her gaze softened as she looked at him. "How long has it been? Five years?"

Xiao Tian nodded. His gaze shifted as he looked uncomfortable.

Then, Mingyue noticed that a few female physicians were looking at their direction. She knew that the girls were checking out on her brother. But none of them dared to approach him due to his cold demeanor.

Her second brother, Jiang Xiao Tian had the best look among her three brothers. Although he appeared cold to outsiders, he was the warmest to Mingyue. With his good look and great build, he was popular among the girls. If only he were not that unapproachable…

"Can we go somewhere else?" Xiao Tian said with a grimace. "I feel like a monkey in a cage."

Mingyue sent Ying Yi to her task and pulled Xiao Tian towards her personal greenhouse.

Once she stepped into the greenhouse, Mingyue wrapped her hands around his waist and rested her head on his chest. She took a deep breath and smiled. "I'm glad you returned home safely, Second brother."

Jiang Xiao Tian patted her sister on her hair. Then he loosened up her arms from him. He stared at his sister for a while and pinched her softly on her nose.

"Should I wait for you so that we could go home together?"

"It will be a while until my shift end. Are you sure you want to wait for me?"

Mingyue tied up her hair into a neat ponytail and slid on an apron. Then, she pulled out a wooden chair for her brother to sit on.

"You took care of the herbs very well. You must have spent a lot of time in here," Xiao Tian said. His eyes roamed around as he looked at the variety of herbs in front of him. This was the first time he had stepped into the greenhouse, and he was amazed.

Mingyue laughed as she took a watering can and filled the container with water from the small water bucket to water the plants.

"I have. His Majesty bestowed me this personal greenhouse with the hope that I can study more about these rare herbs to find a cure for the Princess." Mingyue said.

Xiao Tian nodded. It was then that he realized that he had never seen most of the herbs planted in the greenhouse. He knew that his sister had been researching herbs and medicine along with their grandfather to treat their cousin's poison.

"Second brother, when did you arrive at the capital?" Mingyue asked.
