62 Yan Zifu’s Secre

When the sun was high in the sky, Jiang Xiao Tian went straight to his sister's favorite restaurant, Yan Zifu's place. When he arrived, Yan Zifu was at the entrance. She immediately stepped forward to welcome him.

"Second Master Jiang," Yan Zifu bowed politely and smiled. "Are you alone? Your sister did not come with you?"

Jiang Xiao Tian replied to her questions with a smile. "Do you have a private room?"

"Of course." Yan Zifu nodded. Then she asked one of her waiters to lead Jiang Xiao Tian to a private dining room on the second floor. After a few minutes, Yan Zifu appeared in the private room area with a tray of tea and refreshments. She glanced at her surrounding, and once she found that no one was around, Yan Zifu entered the private room where Jiang Xiao Tian sat.

When Yan Zifu walked into the room, Jiang Xiao Tian was looking outside the window towards the busy street downstairs. Yan Zifu placed the tray on the table and turned around to close the door behind her. Then, she went down on one knee before Jiang Xiao Tian. Her head lowered into a bow. "Master," she greeted.

Jiang Xiao Tian slowly turned around to look at the woman before him. He beckoned to Yan Zifu to stand up.

Yan Zifu placed both hands at the right side of her waist and nodded. "Yes, master." Her usual appearance as beautiful, friendly and bright restaurant owner disappeared. Her eyes turned sharper.

At this moment, her expression turned serious as she faced Jiang Xiao Tian. If anyone saw her right now, no one would believe that she was Yan Zifu, the restaurant owner. This was Yan Zifu's secret.

On the surface, Yan Zifu was a friendly restaurant owner who loved to listen to gossips from her customers. Even Mingyue would frequently visit Yan Zifu's restaurant, and Yan Zifu would always provide her with the latest scandals around Da Cheng. But the truth was that Yan Zifu was one of Jiang Xiao Tian's intelligence agents in the capital. Her restaurant was one of the centers to gather information.

Because of her delicious food, many people would visit her restaurant. Half of her employees were trained agents. They would then listen to the customer's conversation to gather information for Yan Zifu.

Jiang Xiao Tian poured himself a cup of tea. He took a sip and turned to Yan Zifu. "The thing I asked you to investigate, did you find out anything it?"

Yan Zifu pursed her lips before she closed her eyes. "Reporting to master, I have asked around, but no one among us found anything about that masked man. According to the guild, there was no such person among their guest staying in their inn."

Jiang Xiao Tian frowned. Could the masked man be one of Da Cheng citizen? Or was he good at hiding?

"Our men who were stationed harbor reported that there was no one suspicious going in or out of Da Cheng recently," Yan Zifu continued. "I have asked the others at the borders to keep an eye on this man. If he exited Da Cheng through the land, then we will be able to track him."

Jiang Xiao Tian nodded. He made a note to ask his brothers for help to look for the man. He had encountered the masked man while he accompanied the princess to the city last week.

At that time, because of their carelessness, they had allowed a boy to approach the princess, and this boy had stolen the princess' pouch. Just as they were about to take action, a masked man appeared to aid the princess.

Because of Princess Lingchen's identity, they need to be cautious of everything. Afraid that the masked man might pose a threat to the princess, Jiang Xiao Tian sent two guards to find out who was the masked man. But that man had gotten away from the two skilled guards. From his view, Jiang Xiao Tian could see that the man was proficient in martial art.

If only he did not have to stay by the Princess' side, Jiang Xiao Tian will personally go after the masked man and find out who he was. After being trained by his father, the Old General Jiang and spent a few more years working under the Emperor, Jiang Xiao Tian was now one of the best trackers among the men under the Emperor.
