48 Eccentric Grandmother

Name:Across the Realms Author:Imperator_
Astrallis stood still as he observed the obelisk inside his consciousness. The bright clouds floated around the Artefact. Eventually, the clouds covered the obelisk completely preventing Astrallis from observing it any longer.

Astrallis placed his hand on his chin in thought, "Well, according to the words of the Artefact's spiritual being I'll be able to comprehend the clouds at a later stage. If I were able to place these clouds inside my space ring, I would have already done so…"

"I'll first need to figure out how to circumnavigate the problem of the Dharma Qi if that is even possible…"

While Astraills was deep in thought, Eversnow was finishing up her cultivation.

The clouds began to thin around her, and a shattering akin to glass breaking rang throughout her consciousness. The unique clouds had allowed her Soul-Being to advance to a new stage, allowing her rate of comprehension to increase manifold; she would be able to improve at twice the speed with half the effort, now.

While Eversnow's talent had been top notch, she was still a level lower than the geniuses of the Central Realm; with this fortunate chance, she could be likened to a flood dragon transforming into a True Dragon. Also adding her unique constitution, she's bound to have a bright future.

Eversnow stood up excitement as well as a few complex emotions were evident on her face. She turned to the man that had changed her destiny, 'It's a pity, in the end, our constitutions do not match in that way… At least I'll be able to have a true friend.'

When Eversnow and Astrallis had been performing their Art of Dance they had both come to the same conclusion; they were not mean to be partners.

Astrallis turned and stared into the eyes of Eversnow.

"Astrallis, thank you. Without your help, I would never have been able to change my destiny to such an extent,"

"No need to thank me, your Seven-Dawn Lilies Array was beneficial to both of us. With your enlightenment I hope to see you in the Central Realm soon enough," Astrallis smiled, although he himself hadn't arrived in the Central Realm, he was well aware that it was the stage where all the top geniuses of the universe congregate.

"Central Realm?" Confusion written on Eversnow's face.

Astrallis just smiled mysteriously in response.

He was sure with his connections getting an eminent sect or master for Eversnow was not a problem.

'Well, it's not like I'd even have to ask for a favour from anyone. Any Sect or Immortal with a background in the Way of Water or Life would scramble for her now.' Astrallis chuckled to himself.

"It's time for us to go, the pressure is mounting, and we cannot gain anything more from this."

Eversnow had a complicated expression, as she thought Astrallis had missed his chance to gain some enlightenment on the Immortal Qi. But noticing that Astrallis didn't seem to want to talk about, she kept quiet.

The duo stopped their resistance against the pressure, the cloudy realm instantly took action and pulled them out. A port opened in front of the two which they then went through.

After the two stepped out of the portal, they found themselves hovering far up in the sky, the land spreading out infinitely before them.

"What now?" Eversnow asked.

"Just wait." Astrallis smiled, but inwardly he was complaining about his grandmother making a scene, with her realm of power she was apparently already aware of their return.

All of a sudden space a few meters in front of the duo shuddered, and various figures all came out of it.

The first figure to come out was a tall heroic figure filled with seduction, her beauty unparalleled in the world. The women were a tight white jumpsuit, showing off her bountiful bust and robust behind. The woman's beauty and proportions almost stunned Eversnow.

After that various figures who Eversnow was able to recognise as her seniors and ancestors came, as well as a few other characters that were most likely on the same level. The one thing that caught Eversnow's attention was the fact that all those figures who were at the peak of the Augustin world were standing respectfully behind the woman that could shame all others.

They were also quiet as if they were worried that the slightest action could offend her.

Eversnow turned her attention to Astrallis and saw that he had blacklines covered all over his face.

"My dear baby grandson, you had me worried sick. You've been gone for almost two months!" The tall seductive woman said in mock worry, as she appeared in front of Astrallis and hugged him.

"You must never do something like that again, okay!?" At this point, she had already squeezed Astrallis' face together, his cheeks scrunching.

The important characters behind her had not a change in their expression as if they were already used to grandmother Anemone's actions.

"Oh, my this is impossible! How have you got even better looking? As I told your mother, the more one matures, the better their appearance will become. If I weren't your grandmother, I would have already made you mine."

Astrallis whose face couldn't become any blacker than it already was decided to say something to make her stop.

"Grandmother, this is Eversnow she's a Princess from the Seven Dawns Empire."

Anemone turned to look at Eversnow and gave her a slow once over stopping on her chest and face, as she thought to herself, 'Hmm, good, good. She's a beauty. Indeed, she'll be good for my little man's harem.'

"Oh yes, I know all about her. I've been imposing upon her senior's hospitality over the past two months. They've been worried sick about her."

"Little Jack, I think there is a need for some celebrations your little genius has managed to acquire some Immortal Qi. The only obstacle in her way now is time." Turning to an old man behind her Anemone informed him with a smile.

'Little Jack' smiled happily in response, not at all offended being called 'Little Jack' for if one compared their ages he really was a baby in Anemone's eyes.

"Anyway, I'll be off with my grandson. He'll be back for when your Secret Realm opens, I had no idea such a special place was here in the Astral Realm. Astrallis are you ready?" Anemone said to the group behind her.

"Yes, I am. Eversnow work hard, the Central Realm is you are meant to be." Astrallis walked over and gave her a friendly hug.

Light began to shine in the Seven Dawns Empire Ancestors' eyes if a relationship was able to form between Eversnow and this powerful character's grandson. They went giddy almost thinking about it.

"Thanks for all you've done for me Astrallis." Eversnow's beautiful face had a tinged of red to it being hugged unexpectedly by the most handsome man she had ever seen.

And with that, Astrallis and grandmother Anemone disappeared.

'Little Jack' walked over to Astrallis an appreciative smile on his face, "Young Eversnow I've always had high expectations for you, but something of this calibre was not in mind."

Eversnow immediately bowed to the old man before her, "Ancestor, thank you for your kind words."

"Haha, this is nothing." Ancestor Jack turned to look at his counterparts behind, glee evident in his eyes.

He knew now that there was an ambiguous relationship between Eversnow and that mysterious youth no would dare offend the Seven Dawns Empire.

They had all experienced the power of that woman when she arrived over two months ago, Ancestor Jack shuddered just remembering it.

Millions of kilometres away Astrallis and Anemone appeared on a sleek and carmine airship, this ship was Anemone's personal transport. The entire wealth of the Four Holy Lands could barely afford such a vessel.

Astrallis stood behind Anemone, he stared at her tall and beautiful back waiting for her to speak.

"What happened?" Her playful voice was now gone and only a stern voice emanating the aura of one who had ruled for countless years was left.

Astrallis knew from the very start that it was impossible for him to hide everything from his grandmother.

"I can't sense any of the elements."

Anemone became quiet for a few moments, "Go on."

"When I was in the First Immortal Layer, I noticed that I felt no attraction to any of clouds, apart from a mild attraction to some carmine clouds, but when that was fading. It was as if something was preventing me from wanting to absorb them." Astrallis said slowly, a severe look in his eyes.

Anemone sighed, "I always thought something like this may happen, you can't gain something without losing another thing in return."
