Back in the meeting, Tristan boredly listened to the ongoingdebates, he intentionally arrived late since his already expecting such scene.
"bro, did you left your phone somewhere?" Tristan nonchalantly asked recalling Yeri saying she cant reach him.
Shin just squinted his eyes and didn't say anything.
"well, what if you missed a call from Sheri?"
"she have classes all day." Shin deadpanned and subconsciously checked his watch, Yeri's last class will end in the next 2 hours.
Before knowing Yeri, Shin never checked his phone during meetings and always put it in silent mode. Out of habit, he also did the same today knowing Yeri will be busy with her class schedule.
"oh so Sheri don't contact you in between her classes?" Tristan casually asked.
Shin narrowed his eyes towards Tristan and didn't say anything.
Did he just hit a sore spot? Tristan thought.
"I'm tired of all this nonsense! i don't even understand why there's a need to replace our CEO, if its really necessary then we follow the hierarchy! obviously our current VP can certainly do the job and technically isn't Mr. Felan a Keir as well?" one of the stockholder spoke out and looked at Tristan.
There was a dead silence, majority nodded their heads in agreement.
"Mr. Ian I sincerely appreciate your commendation but I would have to decline, my ability is inferior compared to our current CEO but i do agree with your sentiment...why replace Shin Keir? just because of some unfounded rumors? is K.V Group of companies just a name that we have to worry about personal matters affecting our business? its utterly ridiculous!...eventhough our profit percentage went down this past few weeks it doesn't mean we won't recover. This isn't a first for us, who can guarantee that replacing the CEO will drastically show any difference and recover our losses?" Tristan enunciated and glance at Hiro.
"I agree, this whole matter is really ridiculous!" one of themexclaimed. "CEO Keir, I never desired for you to step down...no, i think majority of us don't. Please reconsider your decision."
"ahem! why don't we set this matter aside and if you think theres really a need for Shin Keir to step down we will held another meeting in the future." Hiro abruptly said like he was never interested with the position.
Another uproar followed but this time they all agreed that Shin should remain the CEO.
Others sneered internally over Hiro's fake facade, with today's meeting only a fool would not realize that it was the Keir family who put pressure for Shin to resign, no fool would publicly defame Shin Keir unless its someone with equal authority or within the Keir family also.
Also this rumors affected the business percentage significantly, its only possible if someone is pulling some strings.
Evidently, an internal conflict is going on within the Keir family but they are obviously not happy dealing with the consequences.
On the other hand, Elli Keir long lost his interest over the meeting. The incessant refusal of this shareholders to replace Shin made him realize that he just fell into the bastards trap!
He took the matter as an opportunity to try and seize the company but Shin overturned it and used it to his advantage creating a rift between them and their largest shareholders without even talking.
Although Elli injected some defaming news about Shin, Mr. Wang masterminded the rest also his not that capable to manipulate the company profits and losses in such a short period of time.
However, since his the current head of finance department and given his aggresive and resolute attitude earlier, some of this shareholders is possibly thinking he stage this whole facade just to usurped the CEO position.
Elli coldly glared at Shin and Tristan who pushed the blame to him making him the bad guy.
They had it all planned out! but when did it all started? could it be back in the banquet when Shin calmly said he will resign as the CEO?
Does it mean they knew Mr.Wang would retaliate after what happened to his daughter?
Is this why Shin only announced his resignation within the company?
Elli felt so wronged and quickly left the meeting room followed by his son after Shin wrapped up the meeting, with his boiling rage and humiliation, it isn't a good time to confront the bastard! he made a grieve mistake assuming Shin is just a mindless shadow of Allister, his puppet CEO and he also did not expect the bastard won't mind staining his reputation to gain the current outcome.
Not only did Shin created a bad impression of him to their business partners, this meeting is also a message from him that he have long gained these peoples favor.
The bastard is clearly challenging him!
He will cautiously execute his future plan and contact that person, afterall how can a bastard equal a legitimate Keir?
"that was boring...you think he got it all figured out?" Tristan asked.
"that's the purpose." Shin replied.
"by the way your meeting with the Neri and Saeki family has been set." Tristan enthusiastically said, "and to celebrate today's success, I have a gift for you at your office."
