Chapter 28 Kowtow to Her
Just as Su Xinyue was gritting her teeth in hatred, Fu Beiting turned around and looked up at her.
She was stunned for a moment and cursed herself for being so focused on her hatred for Qin Xiangwan that she didn’t notice Fu Beiting turning around.
Fu Beiting looked up directly at Su Xinyue who was standing outside the cemetery with a sharp gaze.
Su Xinyue had no choice but to walk out from behind the tree that she was hiding behind, drenching in the rain.
“What are you doing here?” Fu Beiting’s voice was deep and emotionless. “Stalking me?”
IS
Su Xinyue was so frightened that her heart skipped a beat. She quickly put on a pitiful expression as tears instantly welled up in her eyes.
“I… I wanted to pay my respects to Xiangwan, but I didn’t expect you to be here.”
“Is that so?” Fu Beiting’s handsome face was wet and expressionless. “Then why are you hiding outside and not coming in?”
“I’m just afraid that I’d disturb you.” Su Xinyue sniffled and shut her eyes sadly, allowing the rain to wet her eyelashes. “I know you’re devastated by Xiangwan’s passing. It’s all my fault.”
Fu Beiting said nothing. His eyes were as dark as the night as he stared at Su Xinyue’s face.
Su Xinyue could clearly feel his sharp gaze as if he could see through her disguise. She immediately gritted her teeth and squeezed out more tears.
She lifted her tear-stained face and said, sobbing, “I wanted to pay my respects, but I was afraid that Xiangwan would hate me. If I had looked after her better, this would not have happened to her. It’s all my fault…”
“Then go kowtow to her.”
Su Xinyue’s body instantly stiffened. She almost could not believe her ears.
Fu Beiting wanted her to kowtow to Qin Xiangwan?!
Was that b*tch worthy of this?
She looked at Fu Beiting in disbelief, her lips trembling. “I’m afraid… she’ll be unhappy…”
“She won’t.” There was no warmth in Fu Beiting’s voice. He turned to look at the tombstone with a complicated expression. “You were her only friend when she was alive. She should be very happy that you came to see her. She won’t blame you.”
“But…”
“Aren’t you here to pay your respects to Xiangwan?”
Su Xinyue choked and lowered her gaze, concealing the hatred in her eyes.
She did not want to get on her knees before Qin Xiangwan at all. This b*tch did not deserve it.
Fu Beiting’s gaze grew colder and colder. Su Xinyue knew that if she continued to push him, she would definitely arouse Fu Beiting’s suspicion.
She took the white chrysanthemum from the bodyguard and walked to Qin Xiangwan’s grave, step by step. Then, she forced herself to kneel down.
Today, Su Xinyue was only wearing a dress, and it was a bright red one. Her bare knees knelt on the cold, wet stone floor. She was in pain. The rain soaked through her stockings and it was bone-chillingly cold.
Su Xinyue raised her head and held back the hatred in her heart, before she spoke softly, “Xiangwan, I’m here to see you. You left so suddenly that Beiting and I were not prepared at all. How could you bear to leave me like this…”
Tears streamed down her face and onto the ground.
In the rain, Su Xinyue was so choked up that she couldn’t speak. “Xiangwan, I miss you so much… If possible, I’d exchange my life for yours.”
Fu Beiting, who was standing beside her, took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
“Xiangwan… Why did you leave me behind…” Su Xinyue’s cries echoed in the rain. Everyone around them could not bear to hear it.
Su Xinyue lowered her head and wiped her eyes with the back of her hand to hide the impatience in her eyes.
Why wasn’t it over yet?
She had been kneeling in the rain for a while now, and it was cold and painful. Why wasn’t Fu Beiting asking her to get up?
Qin Xiangwan, that damned b*tch, why did she have to torture her even in death?
As she pretended to be sad, she cursed in her heart, cursing Qin Xiangwan to go to hell and to never reincarnate!
