48 Chapter 48: Poems and Sonnets

"Ha, alright I concede. It was lovely meeting you 'boyfriend's sister' and you to Katie" and with that Alex turned around and left.

"Lovely friend you got there, how did you two meet?"

"Catherine it isn't what you think, how about we go up and explain everything to you"

"It's not what I think? Ha well it had better not be what I think, any way I'm not coming up. I think my brother is planning an outing or whatever I don't know much about it, just pick the things you would like, pack and be ready tomorrow" without waiting for Katie to respond Catherine swiftly turned around walking away.

She only moved about three steps before she turned around walked slowly back to Katie, "don't hurt my brother, if you want to be with him be with him and if you want to end it end it but don't you dare play around with his heart because if you do ill destroy you." finally she turned around got into her car and drove off.

Through the one-sided conversation, Katie didn't say anything not because she felt that Catherine was right even though she was but because Catherine's aura at that moment was terrifying, every word she spoke seemed to stab directly at her guilty heart. She avoided James for a week because she didn't want to disappoint her parents and she didn't want hurt James.

Until after Catherine's car disappeared from view did Katie finally breathe, dragging her suitcase she moved her drained body back to her apartment?

When she got upstairs she went straight to her room opened the suitcase and what she saw almost brought her to tears.

They weren't clothes like Catherine said, instead they were limited editions poems and sonnets that she loved but could never afford these hard cover copies she could only buy E-books. She only mentioned it in pacing on one of their dates but she didn't really think he listened, but who would have thought he stored the information and fulfilled one of her biggest wishes. She immediately ran to her phone to give James a call.

The phone only rang once before it was picked, and a cello like charming voice came through.

"Hello?"
