Finally, "James I'm so sorry, I was wrong and I just didn't want to upset my parents or hurt you and I knew that they wouldn't easily approve of our relationship and they were trying to set me up with a teacher but I didn't get close or do anything inappropriate with him it was just a formal dinner and he knows I had a boyfriend and Catherine also made it clear, so please don't be upset. And you just keep doing so many nice things like those sonnets and poems, you know me so well thank you." Katie put down her glass and said all she needed to say in a single breath and without looking at James because if she did she might cry.
Who was James?
Obviously he knew about her parents looking for potential boyfriends for her, he knew all of this but he didn't say anything because he trusted her even though he had been hurt before he still had the ability to trust her, that one of the reasons Catherine seemed very protective.
After speaking Katie expected him to be furious or just walk out and leave her but she didn't expect him to be quite. She slowly turned her head towards him but what she saw shocked her.
After hearing her speak James clearly wasn't surprised but he was happy that she told him. He watched how she tightly clenched her fist she really seemed nervous.
He was smiling at her, just sitting there smiling semi-foolishly at her. The smile was full of indulgences and doting love, James gently caressed her face comforting her he gently pulled her into his embrace.
"Silly girl, is that why you were upset? I don't care about that all I care about is how you feel about me?" James said softly
Looking into his eyes Catherine could only see her reflection; she was all he could see. Catherine didn't reply she slowly inched towards his facing planting a soft, deep, passionate open-mouthed kiss.
The kiss seemed to reflect all her pains and guilt and finally her relief that it was all solved. Their kiss grew more intense and it seemed like it was going to progress to something else.
But remembering what he was planning James had to stop even though he didn't want to. He gently pushed her back while they both hungrily gasp for air, "I have to go baby, and I still have things to do. Did Catherine stop by?" James said hoarsely trying to calm himself.
"Yeah, she did. She said you are planning a outing, to where?" Katie asked feeling much better.
"It's a surprise just prepare your luggage and make sure to pack outfits for all seasons." James said with a mischievous smile, he kissed one more time and they said their goodbyes then James left.
Katie hurriedly packed, showered and went to sleep.
