Chapter 66 - His So Many Sides...

"What! How... how did you? Don't tell me you had hired someone to watch over me!" She asked him getting utterly shocked. It's the only thing she could guess at that time. Otherwise how can he comes to know about it. She didn't even planned to tell Lucas about Daniel and she could guess that the one on the other side of the phone is must be the one who was following her very secretly without her knowledge. 

"That's right! Now tell me Rose and don't try to lie me, do you understand?" He asked sternly and she just gulped her saliva nervously. What if he will missunderstood her that she is meeting with Daniel in his absence. 

"Please Luc, don't get me wrong because Daniel was the one who came to me suddenly. You know very well that it's my habit to study in the library after the class and that's what I was doing but suddenly he also appeared before me after sometime. And believe me I told him to go away but he didn't listened so that's why instead of him I came out of the library." She tried to make him understand the situation so that he won't get her wrong. 

But she didn't knew that he is not doubting on her but is doubting on Daniel. He knew his Rose will never approach Daniel from her side. But still he thought that there is something more to it. From his point of view it's not looking that normal as she is explaining to him right now and he also knew that Daniel is not an easy going man. He knew that knowing that he is not gonna be with Rose that day, Daniel must have tried to do more with her other than to just tried to talk with her. 

"Are you sure it's the only thing that happened? You didn't tell me what he had told you?" He asked Rose suspiciously once again and her expression had said everything to him at that time. He knew he couldn't be wrong about his instinct. 

"He just wanted to be friend with me and was asking for a chance to prove himself to me Luc. Nothing else. And I just denied him saying that I can't give him any chance and I will always choose you over him. And saying this I came out of there." She said nervously and he just stared at her blankly. After staring at her for some more time a small smile started to appear on his face. 

"I'm so glad knowing that you choose me over him Rose." He said still smiling at her. 

"Of course I will Luc." She also smiled back at her. 

"Now tell me what happened after that? Because I know he is not the one who would just stand there and hear you out saying that you will choose me over him. So tell me, what did he do the next?" This time the small smile on his face just got vanished away as quick as it had appeared on his face and now replaced with an icey cold look on his face. 

Rose didn't expected him to ask her the question once again. Now what will she tell him? She can't reveal that Daniel had proposed her and when she denied him he had just turned into something else which is still imprinted in her mind once again provoking the fear inside her. 

Looking at her petrified expression now he is hundred percent sure that there is definitely something had happened which she is hesitating to tell him about. 

"Rose, look at me. You don't have to say anything that you don't want to okey?" He said getting worried about her at that time because no matter what he just can't force her to do anything. But that doesn't mean he will just let go of this matter just like that from his hand. Now he has confirmed his suspicion, he has another way to find out about that incident that happened with her in his absence.

He then started to feel very guilty that, whenever he is not going to be with her she always faces some problems. Last time that classroom incident and this time this library incident. Sometimes he thinks he should not have left her alone because no matter what happens with her the reason is always that Daniel. 

She didn't responded to him anything and deliberately tried to avoid the topic and then asked, "Did your work got over? You said it would take you few more days." 

She was still sitting on his lap enjoying the small game she is playing with his hair. He also didn't seemed to mind her because her fingers were just feeling heavenly to him. 

"No, I have to go once again. I just missed you so much and that's why I came here to spend some time with you my sweet girl." He said still holding her waist possessively so that she won't slip away from his lap and can get herself more comfortable. 

Listening him she once again became very sad. "I understand Luc." She replied to him sadly and his heart just ached so much by looking at her sad expression. 

"But don't worry I will try to return as soon as possible. But before that I want to take you somewhere tomorrow." He said and she just blinked her eyes at him confusingly. 

"Where? And what about your work?" She asked him back. 

"I will go after that my sweet girl so no need to worry about that. And trust me you will just like that place so much." He assured her. 

"Of course Luc, I will go wherever you will take me and as long as you are with me, I'm fine with everything." She said and flashed him a heartstopping smile that he just stopped his breathing for some moments. How can someone be this much of beautiful! He thought in his mind but her words also touched his heart so much that he couldn't help himself but to kiss her cheek once again. And when he did that she just blushed very hard. 

"Sometimes you are just unexpected Luc." She commented shyly. "But I like this side of yours!" 

"Ah... You just don't have any idea that how many sides I'm just possessing my queen. And I bet you will just barely able to handle them." He said smirking wickedly at her and she just unable to look into his eyes due to shame. 

But then something crossed in her mind and then asked him, "Luc from when did you hired someone to watch me everytime? And why didn't I come to know about it?" 

"They are always around you Rose to keep you safe always. It's been a month I did hired them." He said truthfully.

"Them?" She asked him confusingly.

"Yes my queen. There are so many other men are there who are always around you 24/7 but except the moments I am with you. So yeah starting from your house to your classroom to back at your house, there is always someone who is keep on looking after you. But don't worry, they are not stalking you or even trying to enter into your privacy. They are just doing their duty and that is to guarding you. And nothing else. So never feel so uncomfortable ok?" He said and she just got shocked for a moment. 

"Bu...but you don't had to do this Luc... I'm fine..." She was saying something but he cut her off and said, "No you are not. And I guess since you are hanging out with me everytime so there are so many people who will try to attack you. So I don't want to risk you even for a bit. Even there is zero chances for it but still I want to protect you my queen. And also they are not any ordinary humans but are some type of supernatural beings." 

"Really? Can...can I meet them?" She asked him excitedly because she has always been a very big fan of supernatural things since her childhood and now he had mentioned about them so she couldn't wait anymore to meet them in person. 

"No Rose... You can't. They have their own reasons. But don't worry one day you will. Just remember that if you feel any type of danger and specially around Daniel then don't hesitate to call out for them. It's okay if you don't, because then also they all will come for your rescue at that time. But it will be more better if you call out for them. You understood?" 

"Yes, Luc." She said sadly because she really wanted to see them with her own eyes. But knowing that there is always someone to guard her everytime in the absence of Luc, it gave her an unknown confidence and then she thought that now she can face Daniel without holding any type of fear in her mind. 

But wait! Why did he decided to put guards around me? Could it be possible that he comes to know about that incident that happened exactly a month ago?...
