10 Friends?

Days passed, Ali and Axel continue sending messages with each other. They felt closer and their personality clicked right from the start so it is not unexpected that their relationship develop this way and became friends.

The feeling of instant connection not only can happen in a romantic way but also can happen platonically specially with people you enjoy being with.

At least, this is what they clearly show right now. They might be aware of the fragility of their blossoming romance so they are both careful not to break it.

And with the series of circumstances that happened between Ali and Axel, it is not difficult to progress in a better way than this.

They call each other almost every day.

Though they treat each other as friends, they are clearly showing special care to each other.

The level of trust and communication they display signifies that unconsciously, they rely on each other and started to nurture the feelings that slowly starting bloom.

In any case, unconsciously or intentional… they both cherish what they have now and tried not to spoil the serenity.

They sometimes go on dates; a face to face meeting is always better than a phone call or a text message.

Their friendly dates caused them to enjoy more of each other's company. And these regular meetings deepen their relationship even more.

They go to different places, enjoying a meal and trying out new dishes, enjoying a movie, strolling and even enjoying a ride through the night.

Whenever they spot anything interesting to do, they don't hesitate to do it as long as they are both happy doing it.

They tried arcade games to collect tickets in exchange of a small teddy bear and capture cute and cuddly cat stuffed toys inside the claw machine.

Some time ago, Ali craved for pasta. Then they went and challenge themselves to eat seafood linguine in pesto sauce in a nearby restaurant. Though the linguine tossed in rich green basil sauce with seafood looked healthy and delicious, just the smell of it makes them sick. They really are not fond of eating anything with pesto, but just to challenge each other, they both ate one serving of this dish because they made a bet that whoever has a leftover will have to treat the other for a week.

Their competitive spirit seems to be awoken when they are together, though every time they made a bet like this, Axel always loses.

Fortunately, the mango bravo cake the restaurant serves are one of the best and you can't get tired of it.

It was such a delight!

It may seem childish and naïve but these things are what really made them happy.

And like any other normal day for both of them they decided to eat out and have fun.

-Hey, something came up and i need to finish this. Do you want to cancel?- Ali sent a message to Axel. She needed to finish the report and submit it as soon as possible.

-No, it's okay. I can manage, besides I'm on my way there and should be arriving soon.- Axel is now driving his car going to Ali's office. Axel always picks her up every time they meet up.

-You can manage? I don't know what time I'll finish this. You sure it's ok?- Ali asked again.

-Yeah, I'll wait for you.- Axel answered.

-Ok, I'll finish this real quick.- Ali continued her work and did her best to finish it quickly.

She felt giddy but as soon as she started her work she forgot the time the moment she focused on her work.

"Ahh finally, I'm done!" Ali yawned while she stretched her arms when she remembered something.

"Gosh, i totally forgot about him. It's already past 9pm."

-Hey.- Ali sent him a message

-Hey, are you done?- Axel quickly replied.

-Yeah.- Ali bit her lips while she was typing her message then she decided to send another one.

-Hmm. Still there?- Ali

-Yeah. Come here and let's eat. I know you're already famished!- Axel's response to her.

-Yeah. 5 minutes.- Ali replied quickly and she hastily pack her things and grabbed her bag.

But before she goes, she dropped by on the comfort room to retouch her makeup and checked herself out in the mirror.
