25 The Tulga

I took bath in my hut and then went to Tulga's hut.When I went Sarnai, Jargal, Oyuun and Tulga were all standing together in the street. On seeing me they all crowded me and started enquiring about yesterday.

How it felt to use the gift on the tree and how did i kill the zukr. I stopped their curiosity saying I wasn't aware of myself while using the gift and I myself don't know anything.Their excited faces dropped and Tulga asked us to start moving towards the orchard.

While walking Sarnai and Oyuun kept close to me. Oyuun kept touching me and talking to me non stop. Sarnai was mostly quiet but interjected in our coversation now and then. I enjoyed their attention and used the opportunity to touch them innocuosly during the conversation which they didn't seem to mind.

We went to the same orchard section which we went on my first day. Once inside tulga took us to a Ilphyr tree and asked me to use my gift. Everybody surrounded me with an expectant look. I kept my hands on the tree and same as the first time an energy coursed through me and I willed it into the tree.

This time I noticed that once the energy started going into the tree, the tree itself strengthened its shell and I saw the red line at the edge of the tree becoming thick. The zukr which seemed to be relying on leaching the energy on the tree to survive couldn't penetrate its shell anymore and started starving before becoming thinner and finally vanishing.

I felt drained and slowlly stopped sending energy into the tree. When i came to my senses I saw the white flowers blooming on the tree and there were ripe Lhasa everywhere. Tulga made me sit down and asked me to take rest.

She said I din't need to pick fruits here afterwards and can rest to activate the gift again . She then shooed the others to go do their work. Jargal started climbing the tree I grew to pluck the fruits. I slept for some time woke up and tried to use my gift again but the energy didn't come.

I then went in search of tulga to consult her. She heard me patiently and said that's how we know that we have drained our gift and couldn't use it. If it activates again you will be to instinctually feel it.

I then sat with tulga to rest again. We sat silently for some time when tulga started the conversation asking me about the share of Lhasa i get for my gift. I told her and she looked envious. She told me she gets only 10.Lhasa a day and 1 Phir and nectr per month and she really likes eating Phir.

She told me if you dip Phir in Nectr and eat the taste is heavenly. We conversed for a long time and got closer to each other. While talking her hair blowed in a sudden wind and glued on her lips. Before she could remove it, I touched her lips and removed her hair by caressing her lips before tucking it in her ear.

The next time Tulga stood up and walked to use her gift on the zukr. I leaned against the tree we were sitting on and watcher her sway her ass with satisfaction. When she came back i placed my hands on her hips and held her close to me and we continued our conversation.
