I became accustomed to the life in the village and with my gift thrived in it. It became regular event for me to bath with my mother and eat in the mornings in her hut. I then left for the orchards to do my work.
The more i got accustomed to using my gift the more i started to explore on it. Initially i tried to rest as much as i can in hopes of activating my gift again second time but it never happened. Then i started trying to control the energy that coursed through me when i used my gift.
I tried to push as much energy as i can into the tree trying to increase the yield. It did help a bit with fruits riping in more density and green roots growing to hide even the trunk of the tree. But, after a certain point the results tapered out. I felt that the tree couldn't hold the energy beyond a limit and the energy was dispersed out of it.
I was met with disappointment again. The biggest part I felt bewildered about my gift is the out of body experience I have when i activate it. I lose sense of my surroundings whenever that happened and I perceive my surroundings in a metaphysical sense. The strongest beacons in that state are the Ilphyr tree I am touching and the Zukr in it.
The Ilphyr tree to my sense is a red torrent that arose from the ground and travelled through its trunk as a mighty river to finally spread itself like tributaries into thousand different branches. My spirit enlivens everytime i withheld it.
The zukr is the complete opposite. It is a black slimy tentacle that writhed and pulsed to me unlike its docile physical presence. It was like a tentacle of a monster that arouse out of the ground trying to wrap and crush the zephyr trees presence. The slimy tentacles of the zukr had thorns instead of the ridges i saw in the physical world, to puncture and get energy out of the zephyr's shell.
The Ilphyr tree had a red shell that enclosed the energy flowing through it like the banks of a river. Whenever I sent energy into the tree the zukr thorns broke and the Ilphyr shell strengthened. The zukr after getting repelled writhed in increasingly frantic motions.
But, the Ilphyr's shell held strong and Zukr slowly became thin along its length before becoming a formless smoke that buried into the ground.
