Arriving at the Gym, Gray was enjoying the quiet time before starting. He didnt have a choice in the matter anyway since apparently his match was pushed back. Waiting at the reception area he conversed with Empress about daily things. Sabrina had teleported with his belongings after going to the hospital to make sure everything was ok. Sabrina, Misty, and Jacob then decided to take the tour around the place. Juniper went for a walk and meet with a friend she said.
"Hey, are you the challenger?" A sporty young teen said.
"That I am," Gray answered neutrally. "Is it time to start already?"

"Yeah follow me." The young teen said.
Following along, Gray tried to figure out what the battle plan should be. For the most part, he figured as long as his Pokemon speed was good, it would be a decent battle at the most. But something else was bugging him.
Arriving at the battlefield Gray checked it out. Rock formations everywhere. A large rock formation in the center that went all the way to the ceiling. 'Defintely one of those Gym's' He thought to himself.
"So are you ready?" The Gym Leader asked amused seeing his gaze. "Challengers always get awe struck. Hope this wont hurt your performance."
"As ready as ever I suppose." Gray said not really caring about her words.
The teen eyes squinted at Gray's response. "If you are not, just leave then."
"Dont give me any tude. Your Gym is the one that kept me waiting all blasted day. I scheduled a battle at 7:00 am. It is currently 4:00 pm. I lost an entire day."
"Some times things happen." She shrugged like it wasn't her problem.
"I get that. But you know what? You could have sent a message earlier. That would have been a nice thing to do."
The teen glared at Gray. "How about we go straight to the Elite battle? One vs One. You game?"
"Let us do this then." Looking to Pyron they fused. "Pokefusion!"
Gray stood tall with the wings extending from his back. Small little flame balls formed around his head. On his face, two feathers extended pass his cheekbones. His hair resembled that of the pokemon extending down the back in the middle. Strong talons extended instead of nails.
The Gym Leader stood out and looked at her Pokeball. "Go, Nosepass!" The little pokemon hovered before landing on her head. "PokeFusion!"
"So screw the referee signal." Gray felt shocked at her disregard for the rules. 'This is crazy. Maybe I am just overthinking things.'
Gray dodged to the left and opened his mouth. A Dark Fire Blast fired out. The large symbol caught the Gym Leader off guard. "A fire move against a rock type, are you dumb? You got to be joking hehe." Her grin disappeared when it made contact.
"Paaae" a weird sound made a noise on contact. The Gym Leader flew back across the ground. "What the heck is that power?!" Getting her bearings she stood up. A part of the fusion fell from her face. Blood dripped down her cheek "Where are you?" She questioned as she looked around.
Gray popped in behind her. Two quick Scratch attacks towards the back before he flew up with a kick on the ground and a flap.
"Too weak!" The Gym Leader said wheeling around. Her fist swung and caught nothing but air. "Get back here." Stomping her foot in frustration traces of rocks formed on the ground.
Gray obliged as he turned back down to look at her.
"Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh."
He used Double Team making three more versions of himself. However, these were different. Infused with physic and aura energy to make them more real.
"Heh, you amateur." The gym leader raised her hands from behind her back as several rocks appeared. "Try this, Rock Throw!"
As the rocks went towards him, Gray stood there. The copy in the front waited till they were in range. Using raw physic energy, he stopped them. With a crush of his hands, they each were destroyed and turned into chunks of rubble.
"Thanks for the giveaway." She smirked as she thought she had the real Gray. "Rock Tomb!" Pulling her hands togethor she pulled all the broken pieces to bury the front version of Gray.
" Ping" the rock pieces impact so strong they made a strong friction noise. The gym floor was covered in dust.
"Hah!" Her exhalation was short-lived as Gray appeared behind her. Then the other two as well.
"Dark Pulse," all three said in unison.
"What?! How could?" The Gym Leader managed to say before she was hit in a triangle of attacks.
When the dust and dark energy cleared she was knocked out of her fusion. Her clothes torn and her Pokemon fainted to the side.
"Th..the winner. The Challenger." The referee said surprised.
Gray relaxed his fusion and high fived Pyron." Good job bud.
"No sweat dood!" With a flap, he landed on the ground.
"Have a good rest." Gray returned him and looked at the Gym Leader. "Thanks for the match. Can I have my badge now? I am on a schedule."
Before the Gym Leader could answer, someone else walked in. He had a pickaxe over his shoulders. "What is going on here?" Looking around he got the gist of it quickly. Either he has used to things like this or.. he was just that intuned with things. "Marion, did you cause another incident?"
"Another incident?" Gray asked in wonder. Noticing he didnt receive any kind of prompt about winning a gym battle he became angry. "Is she the Gym Leader or not?"
"No. I am. The name is Clay. I am the Gym Leader. That is my little sister. Sorry for the trouble challenger."
"I do not want your sorry. I want my badge." Gray said angrily. "Gym Leaders have stand-ins, count her as one. Hand over my badge and there won't be any trouble from me."
"Sorry, no can do. It would have to been set up beforehand for it to count." Clay said checking on his sister.
Gray moved his head back and forth. He was trying to calm himself. Reaching for his PokeGear he scrolled through to a number. Selecting it he types away at a message. Meanwhile, Clay was taking care of his sister. Gray finished an looked at the two.
"You sure you won't hand over the badge." His tone came out as if he was giving the man a chance at something. Daring him not to take the unspoken bargain.
"No, I cant do that." Clay said not really paying attention to him.
"Yeah its not cant. But won't. Whatever then. Hurry up I am ready to get far away from this place." Gray said with disdain.
"We can take a break if you like? That is an option. I take it you are needing the Elite Trainer match more. I have no problem doing the other another day. Only enough time for one. The Gym is close to closing today."
"We can go straight to the Elite battle then. Pokesoul!" With the transformation, Gray felt his full one take place. He was in the hybrid form instead of just Yvetal. With his anger peaked he felt the Giratina form more prominent. It refused not to take part in the battle.
Clay stood bemused. His head tilted to the side. 'Why is this challenger so angry?' His thoughts started to cloud before he looked to his sister. "What did you do during the battle?"
She looked down sheepishly not meeting his gaze.
"PokeFusion!, let's go Onix." The light cleared leaving a bulk of a man. The fusion gave him a rock outer exterior. On his left arm was a rock lance that traveled to his backside. On top, his head was a horn. Swinging his arm around Gray thought it strange of the flexibility it had.
"Battle begin." The referee said professionally.
As soon as he said that, Clay was on the move. "Rock Polish!" With a shine over his skin, he relaxed to watch his opponent. He looked at Gray in the air. 'Flying-type?? Why didnt he use a Pokefusion instead of PokeSoul for the advantage?'
Gray stood in the air gently flapping his wings. With each flap, he was pulling in the aura energy around him slowly. Gray was supplementing his own energy with the surroundings. He didnt use one of his pokemon because he was too angry. He would get way to upset with himself if his anger got any of them hurt. Empress understood from the messages he sent her while he typed away the message earlier.
"BreakPoint!" Clay yelled as he fired in the air like a bullet. In his response, Gray flapped his wings to go further into the air. Clay followed with a burst of steam from his feet.
'Did not know that was going to happen. Tch, what to do with that aerial advantage loss?' Gray racked his brain as he dodges from side to side.
"Crrrrgg," Clay's feet hit against the roof. With another launch, he fired into Gray's backside. His blow landing almost dead center of his spine.
"Ugh," Gray said as he felt the point touch into his back. His side instantly hurting from the impact. Flipping over Gray landed on Clay's back. With a fist raised Gray punched him in his center. From the force and momentum, he was sent downward in a spiral.
Clay turned sideways and landed on the ground. Standing up he saw Gray right there. Clay swung up hitting against a clawed hand.
Gray grabbed ahold when the lance came. "Crrkk" tightening his grip he started to destroy it with his claws glowing black with a dark aura. "Hah!" Gray grunted when his other hand came out swinging at the man's chest. A small scratch appeared. Turning up he started a one arm assault. One scratch, then another and another.
Clay took the time to observe the challenger before he shined with a light. "Iron Defense!" the metallic sheen in casing him quickly. Pulling his lance back he was surprised when he could barely move it. "What the!?" Looking at it he saw the problem.
Gray had clenched so hard on him the claws embedded into the lance. His wings flapping trying to propel him backward. The pressure was so strong Gray had blood dripping from his nails. Seeing his breathing labored Clay was impressed. But only slightly. Stomping his foot he yelled. "Hyper Beam!" The energy fired from the tip threating to blow Gray's hand apart. In response, Gray just tightened down.
"Let go you, idiot!" Misty screamed from the stands. "If you dont your arm will be badly damaged!"
Gray looked at her and shook his head no. He willed the doppelgangers to go to the side and absorb aura energy. they started to glow making Clay apprehensive. But there was nothing he could do with Gray still holding on to him. In a few more seconds the Hyper Beam ended. Clay took a knee out of breath.
"Huff.. huff." Looking at the challenger he saw the damage to his arm. "You could yield if you.." His mouth closed when he saw Gray's look. A dark pressure weighed him down instantly after that. This caused Clay's arms to pressed around his side. He was completely defenseless. 'What a powerful pressure!'
In a flash, Gray appeared in front of Clay. "Double Revenge!" His good arm went out clawing Clay across the chest leaving a gash across the middle where he struck, earlier repeatedly. His battered arm turned dark with Physic energy wrapped around it. Sending it straight forward it pierce the Gym Leader's chest. Gray stopped right there he didnt drive it fully through only partially. He was angry but not that angry.
"You should yield." His voice came out uncaring. Eyes rolling over to the Gym Leaders sister he said, "can you yield for him. If not he is gonna end up in the hospital for a while." To emphasice his point Gray spread his wings and gave a flap as if to lift from the ground.
"I yield challenger! It is your win." Clay said staring back with a smile.
Gray moved his hand out of the man's chest. The doppelgangers came over and placed their hands-on Clay. Passing a small unfiltered aura over the man cause his chest to close up. They both disappeared after turning back into energy that Gray absorbed.
"Roost!" With the last of his energy spent he turned back to normal. Empress teleported to him and wrapped around him. She kept him upright with her energy helping to replenish him. Gray gave her tail a squeeze and sent her a message of thanks.
Clay stood up and handed Gray a badge. "Congrats on gaining the Rock Badge." The badge looked like a small crystal with pulsating rocks inside. Gray shook his hand and accepted it.

'Well, that was nice.' Gray thought before turning around to leave. Sabrina jumped and grabbed his arm.
"That was... dangerous." Sending her physic energy over it, she smiled finding nothing too damaging. Looking up at Misty and Jacob she said, "he is fine. He did Roost fast enough for a quick patch job."
Seeing Sabrina holding his arm Misty smiled with a tease and said, "if he is so fine why are you still groping him?" She then gathered a bit of aura and slid down over the railing with ice.
"I am just going to walk around, " Jacob said shaking his head. "Bunch of amazons I swear." His little Regice shook happily. "I know, I know pal." He said patting its head.
"I am not groping him!" Sabrina said more harshly than she wished. Embarrassed she let Gray arm go and looked at him. "Why are you not saying anything?"
Gray was standing but no one was home. His eyes glazed over as Empress disappeared into her medium state and went inside him. Immediately a moon symbol appeared on his head and Gray teleported away.
"Fwoosh," he left behind only a physic trail in his wake.
"Where did he go?" Asked Misty a little concerned.
Sabrina closed her eyes and exhaled deeply after a moment. "Its ok. He returned to his room. Juniper is their. So he should be fine." Relaxing she realized she would have to get her match tomorrow. 'He was right about the wards. I wouldn't be able to check on him if he had it.' Smiling even broader she became lost in her thoughts.
