Chapter 29 - All Out Duel: Lues Vs Ketanium [Kolme]

On another place.

The bootleg-crucified phantom of Little Longy, the worn out oni from numerous battles, and the mountain of corpses from the overflowing eldritch flower abomination—each of them having their share of ōdachi skewered into their core.

Lues is still stuck at the same tree with beams on her neck and palate as she holds the pain of mutinied boredom. "Ywa hwaven't given awp ywet?"

"Again, this is not my real body."

"Bwat ya still hweel da pawin and swuff ey?"

Sitting with legs crossed, Ketanium holds onto the blade of her long ōdachi, breaking herself to the limit and possibly the irritation she got from the ever babbling devil on the tree of confinement.

"I think they are still coming."

"Rwelease me, ail heelp ya!"

The oni only replies with silence.

The realm sends another wave of enemies, as voids start to open one after another, releasing an unknown Pure Calamity to kill whoever tries to put their footsteps into the somber land.

With just a flick of a finger, the tan oni summons numerous ōdachis on top of every spawned Calamity. Every second is just a delirium torture to Lues as she drives herself into insanity, watching the same things over and over again—hoping that something would change.

How many days has it been? It might only have been a couple of hours outside but the lonely duo had been in the realm for months.

But not all hope is lost, as Lues seeks her own hope in the field of madness. She waits and waits until the phantom blood from the drools has turned into a pond.

"Hwahg??" Lues suddenly feels an enormous wave filling every inch of her existence. Acid, it's acid, phytochemicals, tannins, heat, burning desire, a blender, and bloodlust.

It takes no effort at all to destroy the circuit formation embedded on the long ōdachi, as she claws everything in 2 meters from her in just a blink. The malignant revenant has her mind set on taxing the oni's life.

"Hahaha, HAHAHAH, ah, so she did it. So soon, TOO SOON! soOOoo SOOON!!"

The wicked fiend stomps and cracks a large area under her soles to ascend the mountains of dead eldritch-flowers; she gushes her gaze into the shocked oni.

The oni intuitively flings a thousand slashes into the devil, each of them being parried one by one until the last vertical strike is grabbed by her adversary. Showing a whole expression of bliss, Lues pulls the ōdachi to move herself forward to land a painful smash with her enlarged arm made out of crimson darkness.

A flash of red blade has been swung from below. Using the force of the punch, she takes the momentum and rotates at extreme velocity to deliver a mountain-ripping scar to the sky. Utilizing the enemy's force to her own doom, a diamond-rare ideology used by an oni, in which most of them prefer to fight with all they have and raw strength.

But alas, the winning strike couldn't bring any victory in the presence of the devil.

"Such a stinging slap! I like the massage, ten out of ten!"

"Ah, feel free to have more then."

Ketanium leaps into the sky, not to the devil, but the somber moon. High enough to enjoy the scenery of the vast realm where the dense barrier of light is visible as the corner of the realm. The gravitational force is different from Neamh, in that there is less friction to pierce the atmosphere.

She lands on the surface of the moon, planting the long ōdachi she uses as she conjures a bus-length flaming-yellow metal pillar. Eyes with determination, she blasts herself away from the natural satellite to give a destructive present to the flower field.

Watching everything unfold, Lues can only shrug, "It seems like this realm gave you too much mana, so sad, so sad. You can't even go back to your main body to deliver that much amount!"

The artificial meteor has brought its judgement into the flower field, as it lands on top of the menace's head. The destructive power is enough to turn the entire realm into a wasteland.

The oni is surprised that her adversary won't kneel even with the massive amounts of mana she converts for pulling all that stunt. "It seems like having you gaining new heights of power is out of my calculation."

"Aww, thank you! But can you please DIE!?"

The fierce battle has commenced once again.

Numerous ōdachis appear in the sky, raining down the whole land. The devil grabs one of them despite it falling down at the speed of sound. It is obvious that the oni is already putting a circuit that prevents unknown people from using the ōdachi. So despite the great pain it delivers, Lues will still be using it to mock the oni.

A bullet hell, the devil flies to the sky to gain more speed, space, and momentum to dodge most of the raining metal while parrying them using the ōdachi.

Not giving the brute any chance, all of the ōdachi that meets the ground is launched back to the sky and swirls to create a beautiful 'danmaku' pattern.

"So we're playing 'danmaku' now!? I'll give you my spell card then!!"

"Wait, that is not how it works!"

The devil summons countless seeking dark balls to hunt down all of the ōdachis, although not being able to destroy the flying curved-blade, they can completely immobilize them. As of now, the shriveled metal is accumulating in a graveyard of metal sea.

They then continue their intense wind-shattering combat on top of the sea of dead swords. Still enthusiastic enough to offer a conversation.

"Mistress Imbecile, may I serve you a platter of your head?"

"Ah, but I'm not hungry."

"Oh right, I apologize. Change of plan! It seems like hell wants you back for some spa."

"That is better. I will kindly take that offer then."

An unstoppable force facing another unstoppable force, it will only end when both sides collide and break the space continuum. Both of them keep giving strike after strike, utilizing everything in the realm.

"Bloody Oni! I hate your kin more than cockroaches."

"Might as well annoy your enemies if you can't kill them..."

"What a bullock. If my 'hate' is a 'feline', then you will be the 'litter'."

Using the ōdachi planted on the moon, Ketanium used all of her mana that was supposed to be brought into her main body after months of cultivation in the realm. With a ridiculously long mana line, she pulls down the ōdachi along with the moon.

"Tch, you really want to kill me that bad!?"

Both of them conjure a barrier of their own. The battle of endurance.

The winner shall be the one who can survive the armageddon.

And both of them make it out alive.

Cracking each other's own shelters, they breathe the rotten air of the broken land.

"Gah! Fool! Dumbass! How many loose screws does it take to make the ultimate idiot!?" Rants Lues.

"Hahaha, I applaud your strength, hah, next time we meet, I'll treat you to some drinking party."

"Heh, you better bring the best sake you have."

"Hahaha, gotcha."

Both are worn out, exhausted, and satisfied. With both on their last straw, they brandish their sharp claws and fangs—although weary, both of them are going all out for the final blow.

It ends with one winner, and one severed head.
