'Don't tell me he can really interfere with the contract and is he the one who is the cause behind the sudden rise of level on my skill?' He thought as more and more questions filled his thoughts.
'If he can do that then how strong is he?' Ryle questioned himself about this but no answer came out of his mind.
'Ahh! I will just ask him if I saw him. But if it does it mean that I am now free from the contract? ' Ryle smiled at that thought.
'I will try to lie once and if I can then I know what it means, now I need to have a concealment skill or I will be found out that easily.'
Ryle rummaged his mind to think of a solution to his problems; he knew that he couldn't escape the union that easily and his sudden rise of power needed to be hidden.
The level of his skill has risen exponentially. He remembered that all his innate ability was lvl 1 except for the blood detection which was the easiest skill to raise the level.
That is why in the real world he has gained some insight on how to use Blood detection while his Blood control was level 2 which is very hard to raise its level but worth it in a battle especially he can detect the weakness of his enemies faster.
He also felt a little bit of guilt because he told to Keiji that he didn't knew what is the source of power to use his innate ability but the truth was he already knew it and until now he was trying his very best to hide it from the Union so he was just cautious because even though he have a contract with them he can still hide something but he couldn't lie so every time feel that the conversation or their question would end up to that topic he will try his very best to avoid it.
The real drawbacks of his innate ability is that it consumes his stamina and for blood creation which he still not proficient in using in the real world was his hp but that was in the virtual world so he didn't know what are the drawbacks of his skill in the real world.
He also knows that blood sacrifice consumes half of his ho in the virtual world but he still hasn't try using it in the real world because he was afraid of the drawbacks.
He was scared because every time there is a blood sacrifice it always include a demon in movies but he still didn't know that so he just cautious and learn the three easiest one first and the blood absorption he tried to use it by killing chickens and some animals when he was working in a butchery but the result was disappointing.
But now that all his skills were level 4 he was thinking what is the cause of that and if it was Keiji how did he affect the virtual world.
So he thought 'if the cause of this is Keiji, then does it mean… he raised my skill in the real world to'
This realization hit him hard which made him forget that he was still in the forest. Then a flame shot through his direction that hit him which made him fall from the tree where he was.
Thanks to his high vitality he didn't take that much damage and landed skillfully.
He looked at the source of the sudden attack and saw that it was a fire ape; it resembled an ape but it doesn't have fur.
The ape looked in his direction and opened its mouth and shot another ball of fire towards him.
He dodged the ball of fire and it passed him before it dispersed after it hit the trunk of a large tree. The ape roared as it slammed its chest before it charged at Ryle.
Ryle prepared himself and brought out his heavy shield. He wore heavy armor which doesn't suit his body which was thin but because it was a game it doesn't hinder his movements and he felt that it was also part of his body and on his left hand is the heavy shield which he just pulled out of his inventory.
He also pulled out a heavy sword using his right hand and then he positioned himself. The Fire ape charged and clashed with his heavy shield their strength was tied but Ryle's defense was higher. They both take damage but the damage towards the Fire Ape was higher.
Ryle used his Blood detection to check the weakness of the Fire ape. He can also predict some of the Fire ape's movement using Blood detection.
The Fire ape shot another ball of fire which he already predicted because every time the Fire ape would fire a fireball his blood will flow much faster to his lungs before it release a shot so he easily the dodge the ball of fire then he charged towards the Fire ape and slash his sword although he was not train unlike others he was still experienced because he start hunting alone when he reach level 17 even though the contract stated that he will be nurtured until level 20 but they only gave him armor and weapon which he was wearing right now.
The Union also provided him with a skill book which is the appraisal skill.
After he successfully dodged the attack of the Fire ape he directly charged toward him and slash his sword that successfully hit the ape.
While doing that his mind was focused using his blood control and focused on the Fire ape's arteries he used his blood control and penetrated the artery inside the Fire ape's body. He was successful at doing that which made him happy because he can clearly feel the effect of the lvl 4 skill.
The Fire ape roared as it felt that he was bleeding inside. The Fire ape punched Ryle in the stomach but it's punch was blocked by Ryle's shield.
Ryle was forced to step back before charging again at full speed. Ryle's shield clashed with the Fire ape that made the Fire ape stumbled a few meters because it have already lost almost a quarter of its strength.
The Fire ape was slowly losing its strength as time passed by because its blood was not flowing stably. Ryle continue his charge and kept slashing at that which fastened the Fire ape's body was now full of wounds because of the continuous charge of Ryle.
After half a minute the Fire ape slowly lost all its strength and life left its body.
The Fire ape's body didn't disappear after its death unlike others.
[You have killed a level 19 Fire ape]
[You have gained 10 exp]
[You have received Rank B Fire ape's skin]
Ryle smiled because unlike before he have a hard time penetrating the Fire apes arteries and he also have a hard time trying to find its location it the Fire ape's body but because his Blood detection leveled up he can feel it more and also he can control the blood more easily unlike before it almost deplete his stamina and it needs so much focus but now although it still so hard to that because he need to focus so much it still greatly improve.
He then touched the corpse of the Fire ape. You can't store it in your inventory because it will eventually turn into a blue particle because that is the rules of the game.
But the game gave him time to use his Blood absorption to the corpse so he used it.
The blood of the Fire ape slowly gathered where Ryle's hand is and although there was skin in the way it seems like the blood was fading after it reached a certain distance in his palm.
Ryle felt that his body was full of energy as if he didn't fight at all. He didn't go to hunt again and wait for the cooldown of his blood absorption just to be sure.
His blood absorption is his only ability that doesn't rely on his stamina and it also doesn't rely on his mana but it strains his mind.
After resting for a minute his blood absorption is now ready again.
So he stood up and hunted another Fire ape which he needed because of his work. His work is to hunt a certain kind of creature and bring what it drops and also all the coins that he will gain will directly be going to the hands of his boss.
They will only leave him 1 silver coin and 100 copper coins. That is why even though he was so good and had a unique ability in the game he was still stuck at level 20.
A level 19 creature will only give him a pitiful amount of exp because of his level but it was still okay though it's good that his work is only 8 hours and his main goal for why he was working here is because he can play here after his work was done because he still didn't have the ability to afford a capsule yet because a single capsule worth the same as the entire earning of a poor family for a year.
