Chapter 486 - Day MCMXCVI

I woke up next to Sudarshana after just a couple of hours of sleep. For me it was normal. I wasn't tired at all, but she was completely passed out.

She looked gorgeous in white sheets, contrasting with her brown skin.

I watched her for a couple of minutes, before I sneaked out of the bed, to dress quietly, and then to leave the room. I wanted to get breakfast for us, without waking her up. I did just that and then returned.

I spent another moment looking at her, and then finally focused on the work that I abandoned on the previous day. It was surprisingly easy to pick up since I felt so relaxed.

She woke up when the room service knocked on the door. As she stretched in the bedsheets, I went to open up and took trays filled with plates and glasses, one by one, to put them on the table.

- Good morning - she said to me, as I returned from the last trip, and it was finally just us.

- Hey. Did you sleep well?

- Yes, but I wouldn't say no to few more hours.

- I ordered us breakfast. I hope you don't mind?

- I don't. I'm really hungry - she said and smiled.

Then she finally left the bed. I bit my lip, looking at her naked body. I just couldn't help myself. She dressed rather fast, peaking at me standing there, and admiring. She was blushing a bit.

Then we finally sat together. I had to make a chair for myself out of void essence since there was only one in the room.

We ate smiling at one another. There were some toasts with jelly, a fruit salad, waffles with honey, and other similar stuff. No meat.

- So... Are we a thing? - she asked suddenly.

- You mean together?

- Yes.

- I think so unless you don't want to.

- No. I do. I really like you, Peter. You are different...

- You are different too - I said smiling at her.

She laughed.

- I know it might sound crazy after what happened, but... I want to take things slowly, ok? I have my work, and it really means a lot to me... I need to talk to my parents too...

- Sure - I agreed. - I'm not going anywhere, so take your time. Besides... I need to prepare Tihana for the news.

- I think she will understand. Might be harder with my father - she joked and laughed shortly.

- We can tell your parents together.

- No... I need to do it alone.

The rest of the breakfast was kinda awkward. After that, she left to take a shower, change clothes and pack herself. I also did the same and switched to my normal attire. We all met in the corridor, and after a short discussion, it was decided that I'm just gonna shadow walk us all to Ark.

Vikram Kaur took care of the hotel bureaucracy, and we just popped out in the city center. It was early afternoon there, so there was almost nobody around. My assent left us immediately after I took everybody's luggage out of my vault since he technically couldn't be there without a badge.

Sudarshana followed him shortly, aster a very awkward goodbye. The last one was Ki'rai. In the end, it was just me and Tihana.

- So you two had sex, huh? - she asked shortly after we were left alone.

- What?

- I noticed how awkward she has become. The blush, and the awkward laugh. I might be young, but I'm not stupid paps.

I sighed.

- Ok, we did, so what?

- Will she be my new mom?

- I'm... I don't know.

- You like her or was it just a one-night-stand? It's basically as simple as that.

- No it's not - I argued.

She shook her head, grabbed her bags, and was about to walk away. I Stopped her.

- Where are you going?

- To Irina. I have school tomorrow.

- I thought we were gonna talk about this.

- We did, but you are being stupid, so I'm leaving.

- I'm being stupid?

- Yes, dad. If you like her, then be with her. I know feelings are not that easy, and they change, but looking and smelling the cake won't tell you how it tastes. You need to try it.

- Oh, I did, trust me on that. That cake was delicious.

She punched me and quickly regretted it.

- And I'm the teenager here... - she rolled her eyes. - Just go on few dates, and find out if you really want to do this.

- Ok, I'll do that. But... Are you ok with her?

- It doesn't matter what I think. I'm not dating her, you are. Just be happy, ok dad?

- Ok...

She then turned around and started walking with her bags. After few steps, she turned around suddenly.

- Oh, and I'm dating Rishi - she casually mentioned.

- No, you are not!

- Too late, we already kissed.

- I'm gonna kill him...

- No! You are not!

- Ok - I agreed and nodded a few times. - I still need him for a few things, but I'm killing him later.

- No!

- Ok, but I'm definitely using your relationship to squeeze a few items from him.

- Hmpf - she rolled her eyes, and turned around, to continue her walk.

I observed her, as she was leaving. A smirk crawled on my face. It was good to see her being so casual and happy. She restarted her life here, in Arc, and now was almost a normal teenager with teenager troubles.

When she vanished between the buildings I just shadow walked to my house. There have been enough events for a whole day. Not to mention that I really needed to think the whole relationship thing through.
