Chapter 609 - Day UNKNOWN: Truth

Name:Another Stupid Isekai Author:
Sometime later, I presume in the morning of the next day, the Calludin returned. The very moment when the barrier became translucent and I saw his face, I threw the collar he made me put on at him. I broke it almost immediately after he left on the previous day.

- Your toy doesn't work on me - I said to him.

- I didn't give it to you because I was counting on to stop you -  he said with a smile on his face. - I did it for the people around to know you are my property.

- One day I'm gonna rip your head off and piss inside your neck.

- Such a day will never come, human. Now get ready, you have a fight.

- I'm not going anywhere.

The barrier vanished completely as he smiled at me, and I felt his powers blocking my movement completely. Then he picked me up and flew me behind himself as he walked through all that way to the gate, leading to the sandpit. It opened, and I was shoved into the arena.

It didn't change anything though. I was not gonna fight. Maybe I couldn't rip his head off as I wanted, but at least I could prevent him from achieving the outcome he desired.

As the gate closed behind me, I immediately turned around, and go to it. I shoved my fingers deep into the almost non-existing crack between the metal and the ground, partially bending the edge, and utilized the power of my body to pick it up. It was a short fight between me and the mechanism blocking the heavy door. Something snapped inside, and I easily picked it up, revealing the Calludin halfway to the giant hall.

He turned around hearing the noise, and our eyes met.

- I told you, I'm not fighting - I said to him smiling.

Then he reacted by blasting me across the sandpit. I slammed into the gate on the other side, banding the metal inside, as my door got shut again.

- Mother fucker - escaped my mouth, as I freed my hands and legs sunken deeply into the steel.

There was no way for my enemy to get into the arena now, as it was now impossible for this big chunk of metal to slide inside the prepared space above.

The door I just picked up suddenly flew across the sandpit, and embedded itself deeply into the wall, causing a panic among the audience above. Aliens screamed, and rushed to leave, as few already were dead in the front rows because of what just happened.

The Calludin entered the arena, just as I landed on the sand. His face was showing anger.

- I told you I'm not going to fight - I said bluntly to his face expecting him to react with violence.

- Do you know why my race react so strongly when one of ours is killed? - he asked me.

I was not expecting that at all, and in shock, I didn't give an answer to his question

- It's because we share a strange connection with one another. It's a reminiscence of a hive mind that we used to possess in ancient times and evolved out of. That's the origin of our psychic abilities. If one of us dies, we share their pain, we share their anger. It's a very powerful feeling that lingers for a long time, and it's hard to get rid of. One of the things, which has been proven to work, again and again, is revenge. That's why all of the Calludins worked together to find some way to achieve it, and you being here is the effect of it - he explained.

- I don't care - I told him.

The people above almost emptied the stands above, crowding around the exits. The screams and panic died down with them absent above us.

He completely ignored my words, and continued talking:

- I bought several dozens of gladiators from nothing to championships across many federations on many planets. I rose warriors who dominated even in the toughest competitions in front of the High Queen. That's why she gave you to me because she knew I could handle you, and that's why my brothers and sisters demanded from me to get you, so I did, but more than giving you so-called 'hell on earth', I care about my name. Never did my gladiator declare to me they won't fight in the arena. My name is everything I worked for through countless years, and you won't ruin it.

- You want me to fight? Then tell me what happened to my people!

His face twitched with anger, and he looked away, thinking about the situation he found himself in.

- If you want to learn about them, then fight.

- No, I won't fight until you tell me. I'd rather die than let you fool me again. I have nothing to lose anyway.

The arena trembled as his frustration grew, but then it suddenly calmed down.

- Fine. I'll tell you, but you will fight, and you won't refuse me again.

- Say it, and I'll think about that.

He snorted and shook his head. Then, after a long pause he finally spoke again:

- Their memories have been wiped clean of your existence by the Queen. It's the same case with everybody else on your whole planet. All the material evidence that you were ever born was destroyed. They are no longer your friends, people, or whatever you want to call them. You are alone, and there is nobody to look for you.

I was shocked by his words. I simply couldn't believe it.

- Is that even possible? - I asked.

- It is for the Queen. Now get me my victory - he growled at me and then left.

I was stunned, and simply watched him returning to the long corridor, and vanishing inside, completely speechless. If his words were true I really was left with nothing, and just as he told me some time ago, there was nobody to look for me.. I didn't exist for them.
