“Hold it right there! Are you asking for my help or extorting me? We only have four kinds of seeds at the base!” Ye Wei exclaimed in shock after she heard his request.

This caught Wu Peng off guard. Based on his conjecture, it should be extremely easy for an organ of violence like the law enforcers unit to procure a few seeds.

“Alright, I guess I’ll have to eat plain buns for a long time to come,” Wu Peng said before he left the base of the law enforcers, feeling a little dejected.

He returned to his little den and sent out the Bird Scouting Drone, which made his life much more convenient.

Just as Ye Wei had said, ten law enforcers guarded the area around the station.

Everyone was armed to the teeth. There was even a dedicated observer on the top of the station.

Wu Peng wanted to test how stealthy the Bird really was.

He flew the Bird closer to the law enforcers. He managed to make it 20 meters away from them before he got spotted by the observer at the top of the station.

However, the observer seemed to think that the drone was a bird and shifted his gaze away after he gave it a few glances.

“This thing sure is stealthy. However, the law enforcers are not really alert,” Wu Peng cursed as he flew the Bird back to his shelter.

It was noon. Wu Peng hurried and charged the Bird so it could scout for an extended period of time during the long night.

Come evening, the Bird had been fully charged. Wu Peng controlled the drone and flew it to the last operating satellite signal station.

If his guess was correct, Viper would definitely take action during the next two days.

Based on how Viper had operated in the past, they would definitely choose to attack during the night.

The image of the satellite signal station and ten law enforcers standing guard appeared on his screen.

He maneuvered the Bird and flew it around the area. He did not notice any abnormalities for the time being.

Suddenly, he saw a black dot rapidly advance toward the area from far away.

He set the Bird on an automatic patrol mode. Wu Peng picked up his weapons and put on his protective gear before he headed over toward the satellite signal station.

Ye Wei was a little shocked to see Wu Peng, “Why did you come?”

“I had a hunch that something would happen today and thus came to help. It looks like we both had the same idea.” Wu Peng could not tell her about the Bird. Otherwise, he would be questioned about his possession of such an advanced scouting drone.

Ye Wei heard Wu Peng’s flippant words and did not bother to continue with the conversation. She turned around and started to assign tasks to the law enforcers.

“Based on how the repair teams got attacked in the past, the enemy likes to take action deep during the night. They would definitely have come to scout the area during the day. All of you will have to change your positions.” Ye Wei’s voice was ice-cold and determined. She had the demeanor of a leader.

The team of law enforcers lined up as Ye Wei assigned them with a new defensive position.

Wu Peng secretly glanced at the map in her hands. The map was clearly marked with the names of her team members as well as the roles they were assigned. It even had the strengths of all of the team members.

For example, the people who had good marksmanship skills were assigned further away as hidden snipers. Those with good observational skills were assigned to higher vantage points as scouts.

After she assigned everyone with their roles, Ye Wei gave special instructions to every member of the team. “Daliu, you are quite impulsive. That’s alright on a normal day but the mission this time is very dangerous. You have to restrain yourself! A’liang, I know that you are a good fighter but you like to show off too much. You have to control yourself when you encounter the enemy later!”

Wu Peng waited for her to finish her instructions like a kindergarten teacher, sneakily shifted to her side, and asked, “Captain Ye, do you have any instructions for me?”

Ye Wei did not know what to say. “You can stay on the sidelines and cheer us on.”

The law enforcers spread out and quickly reached the positions they were assigned to.
