There were three types of rooms in the dormitory of Bastille University. Single rooms, double rooms, and quadruple rooms. Sandra and Eileen lived together in a double room.
In the early days of the zombie outbreak in the university, they were both resting in their room. Suddenly, there was a commotion in the corridor, and at the same time, there was a commotion outside the window as well. Their room was closer to the outside. When they heard the commotion, they took a look out of the window. What they saw at that moment scared them badly and blood was drained from their faces.
There was a teacher downstairs who had become ferocious and terrifying. His body was distorted and he seemed to have gone mad. He chased after the other teachers, students, and the dormitory management. Anyone who wasn’t bitten was his target. If he caught up to them, they would have been bitten in an instant.
The person who was bitten by the zombie would instantly become as crazy as the person who had bitten him. Like a mindless beast, the zombie teacher began to chase after everyone who was yet to be infected. When the teacher bit the student, and in turn the student would bite another teacher or the dormitory management. As this cycle went on, everything turned to chaos.
It was completely different from how it used to be, students used to be afraid of the dormitory management and teachers, as they constantly enforced rules that had to be followed. However, everything changed after the outbreak. Fresh blood was now sprayed everywhere due to the zombies. As zombies were hunting for people all around, everyone and everything was covered in blood, and it was a terrifying sight to see.
The scene downstairs was like hell on Earth. It was out of control, chaotic, and restless. Sandra and Eileen were both stunned by the uncommon occurrence. Their eyes were wide open, filled with confusion and disbelief. They did not know what had happened. However, they never opened the dormitory door and after a short discussion, they decided to keep the dormitory door locked.
Terrifying screams and frightening roars came from outside the door. They hid in the deepest part of the room, afraid to speak or make any noise. The riot in the outside world finally stopped after an entire day. They were lucky enough to avoid getting caught up in this apocalyptic environment.
During the riot, Sandra and Irene were very careful, and their voices were as soft as flies. They walked and ate very quietly, as they were afraid that the infected people outside would notice them and attack them.
When the riot died down, they considered going out and checking on the situation, but the students next door came out before they did. Immediately, they were attacked by the infected people, and the wailing made them shiver. At this point, they gave up on the idea of going out to search for help.
Fortunately for Sandra and Eileen, they had snacks and drinks stocked up in their room. Their lifestyles were similar to that of an ‘otaku’. This meant that they won’t be starving anytime soon.
After two days, they saw the notification on the news. It was a report on the outbreak of zombies. The people outside who went berserk and bit people are no longer considered to be humans. They were now zombies! Sandra and Eileen understood their situation and realized that the pranks and other news that they had mentioned earlier were all true.
Both Sandra and Eileen were the prettiest girls at Bastille University. They were very pretty and were popular with many boys. But in the end, they were still regular girls. If they were to deal with those terrifying zombies, they would die in an instant. They could only stay indoors, hoping that the government would dispatch rescue teams and rescue them.
Unsurprisingly, there were rescue workers and reinforcements that came to the university. The government must have planned on how to deal with this outbreak. After they saw those rescuers, the two women at that time were on cloud nine. Their hearts finally relaxed after undergoing the nervousness and depression of hiding in their room for such a long duration. However, just as they were filled with the hope of being saved, they were hit hard by a harsh reality.
The reinforcement and rescue troops suddenly chose to retreat from the university overnight. It was not difficult to tell that they had received orders to abandon Bastille University. Sandra’s and Eileen’s hope for survival turned to despair. This resulted in them being depressed for some time.
Fortunately, they stored enough food and water that lasted them more than two weeks. After that, they motivated each other and gradually regained their spirits. They began to ration their food and other basic necessities. They managed to live frugally and cautiously for nearly thirty days, right before they ran out of food and water.
As for the both of them, their originally curvaceous bodies, their proud curves, and their exquisite faces that were almost flawless, were all gone as they lost weight. They were not in good spirits either. They looked like as if they had been playing video games for a long time without sleeping. But of course, they weren’t in the mood for video games.
Although rationing had allowed them to last for about 30 days, the last few days were filled with one meal a day. They ate half a loaf of bread and drank less than half a cup of water. However, it was better than starving themselves.
It wasn’t easy for them to last this long because all of their food and water had been used up. The two girls, who were demotivated, were slowly overwhelmed by despair and helplessness once again.
In the dormitory, Sandra and Eileen were lying on the same bed, looking dispirited. They were afraid that they may be bitten and infected by the zombies any time. After knowing that the outbreak was caused by zombies, the two of them slept on the same bed and hugged each other to keep warm. This made them feel safer.
“Sandra, there’s nothing to eat or drink. We…” Eileen, who had sea-blue hair, stared at the ceiling that she had looked at countless times after the outbreak and said weakly.
“Eileen, we’ll be fine…” Sandra said weakly as her fiery red hair scattered on the pillow. Her words were filled with comfort, but even she didn’t believe her own words.
Without food and water, they would eventually die of hunger and thirst. If they went out to look for food, they would be attacked by the zombie that was right outside of their room. No matter what they tried, their ending was already decided and only death awaits. Unless there was someone who came to their rescue, but was that even possible?
Even the armed forces had withdrawn and given up on this place. How would there be anyone else that would be coming? There was a ninety-nine percent that this would end with them dying. It would take a miracle for that one percent to happen. A miracle of someone would be saving them from this.
Hum!
Suddenly, a beastly, powerful sound came from outside the window that broke Sandra and Eileen’s train of thought..
