Chapter 186:A Dream is a Dream

Sheloah sighed then she went inside of the grocery. They were stopped once again by Erick to tell them more details of the plan.

"Tyler and Geof, you will get the list of food. Kreiss, you get the three carts of water. Isobel, Shannara, and Veon, you get the cart full of medicine. Also, get things you think that we need that is not listed on the list. Sheloah and her mother will get a cart of cereals and milk since we won't be cooking much anymore. Sir Erick and I will get the pick up car as quick as we can so that you can load the things in the car," Jun explained in detail and everyone nodded.

"Aren't you going to be suspicious if you brought the car here while looking and smelling dead," Sheloah asked and Erick answered her question.

"They will follow us, but we can handle ourselves. We will wait for you guys at the entrance so that you won't find it difficult to look for us. I also requested John to bring Kreiss' motorcycle a while ago since not all of us can fit in the car. I'll drive it here," he said then Tyler spoke.

"I think it will be risky for us later. What if the smell disappears from our body? And they might attack if they see us pushing carts," he said and Sheloah's uncle shook his head.

"That's why we'll bring the car to the entrance. And you should already get all the things we need. No more side trips so you only go to the car once and we're good to go," he said then everyone nodded.

"Okay. We'll disperse from here. Good luck," Jun said then everyone went further inside the grocery, to get the things they needed.

---

Veon, Isobel, and Shannara already arrived at the pharmacy near the grocery. Just like what Veon thought earlier, there are indeed zombies everywhere. They felt really relieved when the zombies ignored them. It seems that the group still smelled like zombies.

The three were walking as the other zombies were looking at them, but not approaching them. Veon felt nervous but he knew too well that attacking them is not the best strategy for now and that they have to be alert and to just play it on the defense.

Slowly, Isobel got a basket and a push cart, while eyeing the zombie in front of her. The zombie was groaning but it did not seem to look at Isobel suspiciously since the zombie just stood there, not moving.

Why?

Isobel let Veon push the cart then she whispered to his ear. "Veon, what was with you a while ago? You seemed too quiet."

Veon squinted his eyes at her. "Nothing."

Isobel was suddenly startled when she bumped a zombie. The zombie looked at her then groaned. What Isobel did made Shannara and Veon look at her, surprised. Isobel twitched her head and arms, acting like a zombie, then she groaned at the zombie back and it seemed that the zombie was startled as well, but it did not attack.

Shannara held her mouth to stifle her laugh and Veon just rolled his eyes at Isobel.

"You're crazy! What if the other zombies attacked," Veon whispered to Isobel coldly and Isobel gave him a smile.

"Relax! You're overthinking things. Anyway, let's do this quick," the girl said and Shannara giggled slightly.

"Even at these kinds of situations, that girl still couldn't control her humor," Shannara whispered and Veon smiled slightly as they keep looking for the medicines they needed.

As Isobel got a box of paracetamol, she looked at Veon again. There were not much zombies in their aisle so they loosened up a bit.

"Seriously, Veon… we're friends. What happened," the girl asked, sounding serious and Shannara also looked at him, curious.

Veon sighed but he answered anyway. They are indeed his friends so he might as well trust them.

When he said that, the two went quiet. The two realized that his dream was like a prophecy—that it was accurate to tell about what would happen like the harms and the like. But what they couldn't take is the fate that Sheloah received.

Shannara looked at Veon. "It may sound like a premonition, but a dream is a dream. We are here, and we will do what we can to avoid that," she said and Isobel nodded.

"I'm sorry for forcing you to tell us but we're just worried. Don't worry, what Shannara said is true. A dream is a dream. It's just a signal, but it doesn't mean that it's true," Isobel added and Veon sighed.

"Thanks," he said and Shannara smiled at them.

"No biggie. Anyways, since we're done here, I'm going to help Kreiss get the water. Help out the others if you're done, especially with the food," Shannara said, then she went to to see Kreiss.
