Chapter 28 Golden Dragon’s Wrath
The Blood Magic that Lind needed to use was called the “Blood Furnace”, which was an Archmage-level Blood Magic.
By the way, in this world, the levels of magic, from weak to strong, were: Apprentice-level, Master-level, Grandmaster-level, Archmage-level, Forbidden-level, and World-destroying-level.
World-destroying magic only existed in legends. No one had ever seen it.
The people of this world once believed that the gods in the sky had magic of this level.
However, Forbidden Spells did exist in this world.
But Forbidden Spells were too powerful. Once they were used, they would cause great damage. They had been strictly forbidden by the Mage’s Guild in Dawn City. Once they were used, the casters would be strictly investigated.
Of course, mages who could use Forbidden Spells were not as common as cabbages in this world.
They were all existences in the top of the pyramid of magic in this world. They were extremely rare.
Moreover, there was a price to pay for using Forbidden Spells. Under normal
circumstances, very few people would use
them.
Archmage-level spells were the most powerful spells that mages would use in actual combat under normal circumstances.
As a Vampire Lord, the highest level of magic Lind could use was Forbidden Spell.
However, the amount of blood required to cast a Forbidden Spell was extremely large.
Lind only had the blood he had converted from the Blood Well in the past few days.
This amount of blood wasn’t enough to support even one Forbidden Spell, but it was enough for Lind to use two Archmage-level Blood Magic spells.
“What do we do now?”
Ryan asked Lind.
Lind said, “I need someone to provide the blood. Of course, the more the better. Then, the person who needs to transform will be the carrier of the blood. I will integrate the power of the elements into the blood and pass the blood to the person who needs to transform. With the blood as the medium of
transmission, the church can’t interfere with
us.”
No one had any objections to the carrier of the blood. They all chose Ryan.
“Leon, you’re the strongest among us. You’ll
be the carrier of the blood.”
Ryan looked at everyone’s eager gazes and nodded.
As for the blood supplier, everyone looked at each other.
No one could read Lind’s mind, so they didn’t dare to be the first.
Finally, Klein walked out and said, “I’ll be the blood supplier.”
As soon as Klein spoke, Ryan refused. “Klein,
go down. If I fail, you can continue to take charge. If even you fall, who will lead us forward?”
However, Klein shook his head and said, “We have no way out. The only way is to break out of the encirclement. If you fail, we’ll awaken the Dragon God’s Soul. At that time, I won’t be needed anymore. I’m the strongest person other than you. If we fuse our blood, we can create the strongest man in the history of our Pandoragon Family. You’re all our hope!”
Klein’s tone was incomparably firm. Seeing his persistence, Ryan could only sigh heavily. He accepted the result.
As Klein passed Lind, he said to him in a trusting tone, “Young man, I believe you. Do
it!”
Lind nodded silently and borrowed Alisha’s dagger from her.
He cut Klein’s wrist.
Bright red blood flowed out of his body.
Then Lind cut Ryan’s wrist again. Both men’s
blood flowed out at the same time.
Everyone watched in silence. At that moment,
Lind’s Blood Magic was activated.
Their blood seemed to be attracted by
something. There seemed to be an invisible
magnetic channel connecting them.
Just like that, the blood of both sides gathered through this passageway.
“Elemental Furnace!”
A light flashed in Lind’s eyes. The blood in his
body was rapidly draining.
The demand for Archmage-level magic was also quite large. The blood in Lind’s body was only enough to release two Archmage-level spells.
After using the Blood Furnace, Lind only had enough blood to cast one Archmage-level
spell.
The moment he released the magic, in Lind’s
eyes, countless elements and blood converged. Through Klein’s blood as a medium, a large amount of elemental power poured into Ryan’s body in a short period of
time.
Ryan seemed to have felt this huge power too.
He activated his transformation. Lind stared nervously at the streak of white
light overhead.
If the light pillar of the Church of Light could still interfere with Ryan’s transformation, Lind would have no backup plans.
The pillar of light seemed to have sensed the
surging elemental power below. Their interference ability attacked again, and the vortex of light elements surged towards Ryan.
But this time, under Klein’s blood, the
elements were not dispersed by the interference of the light elements. The elemental power in Ryan’s body finally reached a critical point, and a terrifying dragon roar sounded.
The huge golden dragon’s body appeared in
the dragon’s cave.
“It worked!” Lind said, pleasantly surprised. Alisha’s anxious heart was also relieved. Although she was willing to trust Lind, she
was also afraid. What if Lind was really a spy from the Church of Light?
And now, Ryan had successfully transformed
into a dragon, which meant that Lind wasn’t
lying to them.
“Cough cough…’
“I
Klein had a large amount of blood extracted at
once. At this moment, his face was extremely
pale and his body was very weak.
He first thanked Lind. “Thank you, young man. The Pandoragons
will never forget you.”
Then he looked at Ryan again.
“I’ll leave the rest to you.” Ryan looked at Klein with a complicated expression. His huge dragon head nodded slightly, then flapped his wings and rushed
up the temple.
Lind’s consciousness also entered the Blood Bat state.
The people of the Church of Light outside seemed to have sensed that something was constantly rushing up from below the temple.
A gray-robed church priest could not help but ask the white-robed priest in front of him, “Your Eminence, what happened? Why do I feel that something is coming up?”
The white-robed priest held the seven-pointed star badge representing the
Church of Light in his hand, as if he was sensing something.
Suddenly, his pupils constricted and he said, “Get back!”
As soon as he finished speaking, a huge pillar
of fire soared into the sky.
Flames shot out in all directions, as if the surrounding air was ignited. It became incomparably hot!
The dome of the temple was directly pierced through by the golden dragon’s body.
Ryan spread his huge wings and appeared in front of the priest of the Church of Light. His dragon eyes stared at the people in front of him, and a dragon breath that represented the power of destruction brewed in his mouth.
In the next second, dragon breath swept
across the sky.
A gray-robed priest could not dodge in time
and was directly hit by the dragon breath.
The intense temperature instantly evaporated all the water in his body.
The priest’s body turned into a snow-white
statue in the next moment. Then, as the wind blew, it turned into white dust and drifted
away. Before the priest died, he looked at the white-robed priest in despair and reached out, almost asking for his help.
But in the end, the expression on his face was
fixed on this scene. Wherever the Golden Dragon’s wrath went,
everything was destroyed.
