180 The Hidden Party Moves, A Quick Solution

Name:Ascenders Rift Author:ShadowsFinger
As Evan and his party created a shocking scene, Leo, Julie, Razel, and the others were focused on the scene around them. Though they were shocked by Evan's display of some unknown method, with Alia being before them, even if she was a wretched being, her strength was nothing to mock.

Alia wasn't looking at them, she glanced at Evan's direction in fear, but as if she recalled something she heaved a sigh of relief while in thought, 'I'm glad that we weren't acting alone, this group is more troublesome than I'd thought...'

Soon, she heard a few steps behind her and saw that Mark had arrived with a few of his cronies, she smirked while thinking, "Heh, with this brat we should at least be able to take Leo and that ungrateful child down. Let the others deal with those meddlesome outsiders."

Mark glanced at her, showing a mutual understanding before he stared at Leo and said, "I bet you didn't think that you'd have today, didn't you, Leo? We will settle our little game once and for all..."

Leo glared at the Alia and Mark before he replied, "Hmph! Whose dying is yet to be certain..."

When Leo said this, Julie, Razel, Oron, and Irene had sharp eyes as the tension between their parties rose by a sharper degree, looking as if they were ready to be set off.

The officials who decided not to get involved were staring at the scene with solemn faces. However, Vernisa narrowed her eyes, not paying them any attention as if she was drawn to the door.

This feeling... I know things weren't so simple...' Vernisa thought to herself, as she looked at a few attendants from the officials who then inched a little closer to her, readying their weapons.

Not long after her thoughts, the door soon exploded, drawing everyone's eyes except for the battling Milon, Wilma, and Kelvin.

As this happened, the previously missing Manager Paulson and Vawn Cramerton had appeared in the entrance, behind them were the same cloaked individuals that sat in the room along with a few dozens of others that stood outside the room in silence.

The officials look at them in surprise as one of them spoke, "Vawn, Paulson, what do you think you're doing creating such a scene?"

Manger Paulson chuckled as he gestured around the room and spoke, "Huhu... don't you think it's a little silly of you to ask such nonsense at this stage?"

The official had an ugly look on his face, as he felt that things today weren't so simple. A few others had similar thoughts, but right at this time, Vernisa took her stand and spoke towards them, "Vawn Cramerton, I wonder, just what do you think you're doing?"

Vawn smirked and replied, "Madame Briggs, as you can see, I have come to offer aid to the Military Head. Surely, you're not thinking of blocking us, are you?"

When Vawn spoke, he snapped his finger, causing three of the cloaked individuals behind him to step forward. They each erupted a power that was only one step lesser than Vernisa's.

However, with Vernisa's sharp eyes, she noticed something strange about their powers, as if it was tainted with blood, each of them gave off blood-red energy.

Not only Vernisa, a few other officials knew what that color of genetic energy meant, causing them to exclaim in shock.

"This is the Sacrificial Blood Energy! Vawn, you bastard! How dare you side with the Anti Human Faction?" An official said while dashing forward like a blur, just by sensing the energies from them, he didn't hesitate any longer.

Vawn snorted as he pointed towards the man and invoked a skill, "Explode!"

As if the man had a bomb inside his body, he swelled up at an alarming rate before bursting apart into many pieces of flesh.

A few other officials who wanted to attack stopped at their positions; they only looked at him with fear. Vernisa's eyes narrowed when she thought, 'So the rumors were true, he does have a strange Ancestral Ability. I'll have to deal with him cautiously...'

Vawn smirked and ignored the others, focusing his attention back on Vernisa, noticing that she wasn't attacking but was only looking at him. He chuckled and spoke, "Madame Briggs, you can ponder all you want, but you will still never comprehend my abilities. Now then, I have a crucial objective to meet, do please have fun with these grunts..."

After saying this, Vawn snapped his fingers, causing all the cloaked men who had erupted their Sacrificial Blood Energy to charge towards her in unison.

Vernisa snorted as she countered them and spoke, "All officials, attack! Do not leave any members from the Anti Human alliance alive!"

The officials who were a bit hesitant gritted their teeth and charged forwards; they knew that regardless of the current happenings, the most important was the protection of the City of Hope. Anything that goes against that wish should be annihilated.

Vawn ignored these individuals; he frowned, thinking about Vernisa's strength for a bit as he glanced at Manager Paulson and speaking, "Take care of her, let the others handle the rest of these clowns!"

"Right away!" Manager Paulson replied as he blurred and charged into the groups of cloaks individuals, he pressed onward towards Vernisa and even commanded for the others to clash with the officials.

At this time, Vernisa saw Manager Paulson headed towards her, she frowned, looking at the three individuals who went for the crowd.

'I'll weaken then a bit…' Vernisa thought as she stretched her palms before her, holding two custom revolvers with extreme long barrels, almost as if they were rifles as her eyes glowed transitioning to the pupils of an actual hawk's.

After three successive banging sounds, three golden bullets shot towards the cloaked individuals at high speeds, but as if they sensed it, they hurriedly struck at them with their fists.

BOOM! The bullets then exploded on contact pushing the three individuals back, as though it did no major damage. It still disoriented them and left small wounds onto their flesh.

The officials who had only now arrived within their range charged towards them, as mini shockwaves rank out due to the devastating clashes of power.

"Hmph! Daring to shift your attention from battle? How foolish of you... Bladeless Palm!" Manager Paulson said with a snorted as he instantly arrived before Vernisa.

His stance was a low one as he crouched before attacking her with a twist of his body, cutting his palms towards her neck, his eyes gleaming in a dark ray as his arms left a trailing line of light as if it were a blade.

Vernisa knew of his arrival due to her sharpened senses and eyesight, she easily avoided it by doing an airborne backflip. While narrowly dodging the arm that cut a few cloths from her dress, she aimed her revolvers towards him and fired repeatedly. Her golden bullets seem no different from a rain of arrows, as they swept towards Manager Paulson.

Paulson's face shrunk as he hurriedly retreated, tapping the ground with his leg, he dodged backward from left to right, the bullets exploded on contact with the ground.

It was a good thing that the room was rather sizeable; otherwise, the chaos would have been extremely hazardous to all within their range.

Vawn no longer paid them any mind; he saw that Alia was already dealing with Leo's group and smirked while thinking, 'Good, with a chance like this we can kill all birds together and claim excellent genetic material..'

As Vawn thought of the latter, he glanced towards Evan's party's direction, but unknown to himself and even everyone else in the room, they and already vanished.

"What?" Vawn ushered in surprise, as his thoughts went blank, 'This-this-this! What the hell is going on? Where the hell did they go?'

As if someone heard his thoughts, a cold voice sounded from directly behind him, "Excuse me, but I'm right here."

Vawn, shocked that his genetic instinct couldn't pick up someone nearby him, was alarmed. He hurriedly turned around and glared at Evan as he spoke, "You... how did you get behind me? Where are your companions?"

Evan looked at the flustered individual before him with indifference. He ignored his words and smirked while he replied, "Don't worry, I won't be killing you just yet, you see keeping you alive will have its uses... but for now, why not help me stretch a little?"

When Evan said this, Vawn felt a tinge of terror, he looked behind Evan and only now noticed that an extremely bloody scene was occurring.

"Ahhh!" A tragic cry rang out, startling those fighting in life and death struggles on the inside of the room.

"This... what the hell?" A few others said, as they even stopped fighting.

Other than Alia and Mark, who were having their final battle with Leo's party, everyone, including Vernisa and Manager Paulson, looked at the scene outside with shock.

Vernisa put away her revolvers as she made a self-mocking chuckle, 'My son's eyes are getting better than mine, I truly am grateful that they came with good intentions...'

As the officials were shocked, the remnants from the Anti Human allies looked outside in horror. Many of Vawn's partners were dying left and right like pigs in a slaughterhouse. He didn't even see the figure, as if a blue specter danced a dance of death in the area.

The person whom he did see was so powerful that his weight would crush him, he saw a fat man made a body slam with a shield pressing a few of the others into a meat patty, leaving fissures on the concrete ground.

As for the others in this party, no one knew where they went; no one knew what they were even plotting.

Only then did he realize that through Evan's indifferent eyes, he wasn't an enemy, but merely a pawn used to establish one's weight with force, he was no different from a lightly bigger ant amongst the others in a nest.

"Well then, let's begin," Evan said in a soft tone, cracking his fingers as the scene here turned into a brutal beatdown that will be remembered by all.
